“This is now the time Sid has been with Liudmyla and it’s been great. He’s content and happy, and I got a really beautiful picture of him on a walk! And then even though my train was delayed, there was no trouble. Thank you guys and look forward to next time 💕”

“Gila is a fantastic dog sitter! 🐶 She is very kind, attentive, and you can clearly see how much she loves animals. Our dog liked her right away, and we felt completely at ease leaving her with Gila. Xxx”

“Emma responded really quickly to my booking request and communication was excellent throughout. She kept me updated during the day and let me know that Max had settled quickly and was being a very good boy 🐶😇 Emma clearly loves dogs and Max had a great day hanging out with her and Nathan. I’d highly recommend Emma. I often travel into London for work and the number 7 bus stops directly outside their house, which makes drop-off and pick-up incredibly convenient.”

“Grace and her partner now provide regular daycare for Echo. Echo now recognises when we are close to Grace's home and her tail starts to wag in excitement! I feel lucky to have found such reliable, warm and friendly carers for Echo 🙂”

About: Ive been looking after dogs, cats, horses and small pets all my life, (professionally trained 10 years) I’m super confident with any pet and love animals more than anything, I know how important it is to find the right person to trust with your furry friend but I promise you that’s me! I can tailor you and your pets needs accordingly and am happy to chat about requirements etc! Im currently working 2 days a week online at home so I am home 7 days a week for the whole day. So I’m super available, my house is spacious with a lovley garden, and also surrounded by dog friendly parks and beautiful walks! Ive had dogs all my life so it’s very natural for a dog or cat to be at home. I’m comfortable with assuring your pet is fed, watered, walked and entertained for their full time with me. My house is very calm as well as it’s just me during the day, so your pet will have a stress free time. I’m also comfortable with medical assistance for pets as I’m really experienced with dogs and cats in medical emergencies etc.
“Sarah was fantastic with Max. Communication was great throughout, very responsive and friendly, and she clearly really cared about making sure he had a good day. Max came back very happy and relaxed after some great walks and attention. I can definitely see why she has so many positive reviews and I’d happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Phoebe loves her visits to Toni and gets excited as we approach her door. Toni is so kind and capable that we never worry about Phoebe whilst we are away. Staying with Toni is a real home from home and we cannot recommend her enough.”

“Emily Louise was amazing, she made sure there was a safe area for Hermione and ensured she took Luna out in the coolest part of the day, communicated well and was all-round lovely - I felt really confident that the girls were in good hands, thank you Emily Louise! 💗”

“Joely is our go-to dog sitter. Sai has stayed with her many times and we never worry about her 🙌 She is amazing. She is very caring, communicates with us consistently and sends us photos”

“Jennifer took excellent care of my puppy and welcomed both of us in a warm and friendly way. I received regular updates which showed Echo having a lovely time while I was at the Women’s Rugby World Cup match! I would recommend Jennifer highly and would not hesitate to book her again. ❤️”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, I currently own a lovely and lively cocker springer cross, so I’m used to long walks and lots of energy. As well as dogs I’ve looked after smaller furry friends like rabbits, some chicken and even bees! I have flexible working hours and I’m often right next door to the house or working from home. I am around to give attention to my own dog and as well as looking after some neighbors pets at the moment Dogs especially are at the heart of the home, we have fenced in space, live right next to a park and we are a short walk from lots of green spaces.
About: I’ve dog sat my whole life for friends/family etc, I have my own little rescue pup called Ted who’s an amazing boy and I’m sure he’d love to have some new friends as much as I would! It’s a daily occurrence as I’m responsible for the care and raising of my own little pup so I have a good amount of time to dedicate to the care of other dogs! As I have my own little pup who’s a frenchie I have very strict house rules when it comes to the safety of Ted. I want to ensure Ted has a safe, clean and tidy environment to play and live in, whether I’m with him or not. I carry out daily checks to make sure the floors are clean and tidy etc. This is also a non drinking, non smoking and drug free household! It’s also very quiet where I live so Ted has no issues when it comes to him getting the peace and quiet he needs. So all in all, this a dog friendly home with access to the beach and local dog parks and gardens within a 5 to 10 minute walk!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 9 years old. I grew up in Bali so I’m quite used to having a lot of dogs, I had 6 at one point in my life. Apart from having my own dogs I also dog sit for family and friends. Most of the time it would long term, 1-2 weeks at a time. However, I can also dogsit for a weekend with no problem. I know all pets have varying personalities so I try my hardest to understand them and bond with each one. I can take care of elderly dogs as well. I had a beagle and shih tzu growing up and they both reached the age of 14! I’m no stranger to making sure seniors are well looked after :) I work part time at a cafe in the laines so my hours are very flexible. I usually have a big portion of the day free. My week changes on a weekly basis, so I have lots of days free for dog sitting which I love! I’ve recently moved right next to the pier so the beach is a stone throw away. I have quite a large flat so there’s plenty of space for a couple of pets. I also have a fenced of roof/balcony Terrace with some grass, this is perfect for late night toilet runs! Although I always prioritize going for a real walk, there’s lots of parks nearby and of course the beach. Pets are allowed on the furniture.
“Alfie took to Ellis straight away and made himself right at home, so I felt immediately confident he’d be happy in her care. I also appreciated the updates and they had a good walk together as soon as it wasn’t too hot. Thank you! :)”

“Alex helped us out last minute. Laszlo can be a bit anxious in new situations but Alex and his resident dogs made him welcome from the start. I enjoyed seeing updates during the day and he arrived home tired and happy. Thanks so much!”

“Azar was absolutely wonderful with Stevie during her first days away from home. She sent regular updates and photos, and it was clear Stevie was happy and well cared for. Stevie settled in beautifully and seemed to really enjoy her time, especially having lovely company with Sesame. It gave us real peace of mind knowing she was in such kind and capable hands. We’re very grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Azar again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Stevie!”

Neve was phenomenal with our anxious and medically complex dog. She was super patient with him as he warmed up to her and gave us loads of updates throughout the day. She was also really attentive to when he might’ve been in pain and sensitive to any behavior changes. Thank you so much Neve!

Grace and her partner are Echo's regular carers and she loves them both! Echo has been well cared for during the current hot weather, Grace and her partner have been careful to keep her out of the hot sun and I particularly enjoyed the update showing Echo having a cooling paddle in Grace's bath! I recommend Grace highly!

My two girls clearly had the best time with Laura and her partner, they didn’t miss us one bit which is great! Shortly after they arrived I received some photos which showed they had settled quickly and made themselves right at home. As soon as I met Laura I was completely confident leaving my dogs in her care. Would thoroughly recommend. We will definitely be back (as long as she will have us 🤣)
Emily Louise was amazing, she made sure there was a safe area for Hermione and ensured she took Luna out in the coolest part of the day, communicated well and was all-round lovely - I felt really confident that the girls were in good hands, thank you Emily Louise! 💗

Helen and Rain are the best. So kind and gentle. My dog Ciara is very clingy however she was really happy with Helen and Rain. Helen sent videos and photo updates over the three days. We felt really comfortable leaving Ciara. Thank you so much Helen and Rain 💖

Seeta looked after Bella for two days during the day. Bella had a lovely time and met Seeta wagging her tail and was happy to leave us each day for a day of adventure. Seeta is very knowledgeable, caring and professional and we had no concerns at all. Bella is now asleep on the sofa and is a very happy Bichon Frise. We would highly recommend Seeta and a big thank you for looking after Bella. We all look forward to seeing you again.

Luna and her partner were great. We had a lovely initial meeting ahead of booking day care. Buddy took an instant liking to them and they were super helpful. On the day they let me join to meet the other dog they were looking after so I could be reassured they got along fine (which they did). At the end of the day care they even dropped Buddy home and sent a nice report with photos of the day!! As it was they first time they cared for him, would have liked to have a mid-day update but overall was very happy with their care!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mariam was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Daisy. This was my first time using a dog sitter through Rover, and I was a little nervous, but she immediately put me at ease with her excellent communication and thoughtful updates throughout Daisy’s stay. She was incredibly conscientious and went above and beyond to make sure Daisy was comfortable, especially during the hot weather. She provided cooling mats, a cooling scarf, and took extra care to ensure Daisy stayed happy and safe in the heat. It was also so lovely to see Daisy spending time with Mariam’s dog, Sai. Mariam was attentive, kind, and perfectly communicative from start to finish. I felt completely comfortable leaving Daisy in her care and would absolutely book with her again in the future. Thank you so much, Mariam and Sai, for taking such great care of Daisy!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
