About: I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including pets who need a calm and quiet environment. I have administered medication to cats and dogs and have experience caring for older pets with individual needs and routines. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and always take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, gentle companionship, medication, feeding or extra love, I’ll provide reliable and thoughtful care while following your instructions closely. I’m currently on sabbatical, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to dog and cat sitting. I’m available throughout the week and can be flexible around each pet’s routine and individual needs. I enjoy spending time with animals and would love to make pet care a regular part of my day. I provide pet care exclusively in the owner’s home, so pets can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. I’m respectful of each home and take safety seriously, making sure doors, gates and pets are secure. I’ll also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I used to work with a local dog walker/boarder and mixed with plenty of doggos during this time! I’ve also had dogs in my family since I was a child! A Dalmatian, Chihuahuas, Jack Russel x Chihuahua’s, and more recently a lovely Frenchie. However, I currently am unable to have a pet of my own due to the demands of my degree. I love animals, and you can be sure that your pet will be the centre of my attention whilst I am with them! I am a full-time mature BSc student in Brighton, which takes up about 3 days a week and I usually work 1 day at my job during term times. Due to these commitments, I am sadly unable to have a pet of my own. My flexibility will vary depending on my schedule, which from September, I should be aware of at least 5 weeks in advance. I will easily fit in time with your furry friends during these commitments, and maybe they can help me to study! I live in a ground floor flat with access to our own secure outdoor space, however, this is stones and decking but plenty of space for sniffing and roaming around, or lounging in the sun with me when we’re not out on a walk! A well-behaved dog will have access to all spaces, including my bedroom. We live a very short walk from plenty of local dog-friendly parks in Hove, and a little further is the beach! Please note that I am not comfortable with off-lead walks, happy to use long training leads, etc, unless in a very secure area. I want to keep your pet safe and secure the entire time!

She’s very responsive and always sends photos and a summary of the visit. We’ve used Annabel multiple times and will continue to, she’s fantastic with dogs and very reliable

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since childhood and have spent many years helping care for dogs belonging to friends and family. Over the last 10+ years I’ve regularly helped with walking, feeding, company and general care, and I genuinely love being around animals. I work from home part of the week, which means I can offer dogs plenty of attention, companionship and regular walks throughout the day. I understand how important trust and reliability are when leaving your pet with someone, and I always aim to provide a calm, caring and safe environment where dogs feel comfortable and well looked after. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine closely and can provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away. I work a hybrid schedule, spending 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week. My work-from-home days are flexible rather than fixed, which allows me to be accommodating where possible. I work Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, and can also offer some evening and weekend availability with advance notice. While I don’t have a garden, I live in a spacious and comfortable flat in Hove, just a 5-minute walk from Hove Lawns and the beach. This means your pet will still enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise and lovely walks in a relaxed seaside setting. I always aim to provide a calm, caring and comfortable environment where pets feel safe and well looked after. I live in a spacious and comfortable flat in Hove, just a 5 minute walk from Hove Lawns and the beach, which is perfect for regular walks and fresh air. While I don’t have a garden, I make sure dogs still get plenty of exercise, attention and outdoor time in a safe and relaxed environment. I always aim to create a calm, clean and caring space where pets feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I’m happy to follow their usual routine closely and provide regular updates and photos for reassurance while you’re away. As I work from home part of the week, pets in my care will receive plenty of company and supervision throughout the day.

About: I’ve been around dogs so much of my life; from having my own, living with them and more recently regularly looked after friends’ dogs while they’re away, from long weekends to full weeks. Kita, who is a husky mix, has been a regular fixture in my life and so I’m comfortable with bigger dogs. It’s something I genuinely look forward to and cherish my time together with them it’s not just a job on the side for me. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow your routines, training methods, and any specific instructions to help them settle in comfortably. I’ll like to pay attention to how your dog reacts and adjust accordingly as dogs have their own personality and needs. I’ll send regular photo and video updates throughout, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled with attention. Services I offer: Dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting are my main focus. I work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility to fit walks and visits into your schedule. I can follow your walking routes and set times easily and make sure they are looked after. I’m happy to provide short weekend boarding for dogs who are comfortable in an apartment setting. I don’t have a private garden, but I live close to a park, so dogs staying with me still get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention but I would rather this only be for short stays for the dogs own comfort. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every dog like my own. My goal is simple: for your dog to be happy, well cared for, and genuinely excited to see me next time. Hopefully we will become friends! Feel free to message me with any questions. I always like to arrange a quick meet-and-greet before booking, so we can go over any important details and get to know each other first; it helps everyone feel more at ease, especially your dog. I work from home most weekdays, which means I can give dogs plenty of company and regular attention throughout the day. I occasionally need to visit sites for work, but these are infrequent and I’ll only accept bookings that fit around my schedule. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting, as I work remotely it means I can adjust my schedule to fit the needs of you and your dog. I always keep my availability up to date so you know exactly when I’m free. Your dog’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication (if needed), training and any house rules. I’m happy to walk your dog on their usual routes and at their regular times to help them feel comfortable, confident and relaxed while you’re away. My goal would be to build friendship and trust between us. Every dog receives my full attention. I don’t walk dogs in large groups, so your dog will enjoy one-to-one care tailored to their individual needs and personality. If I’m boarding, I’ll only take one household’s dog(s) at a time, ensuring they have a calm environment and plenty of attention. I live in a comfortable apartment that’s well suited to short weekend boarding. While I don’t have a private outdoor space, I’m close to parks and walking routes, so dogs in my care will still get plenty of exercise, enrichment and toilet breaks. For that reason, I prefer to keep boarding to shorter stays where I know I can provide the best possible experience.

I always follow your routine closely, provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection, and send photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and safe. About: I have grown up with dogs and cats since I was a kid, (my family dogs are now 14!) and have always loved animals. I've walked dogs over my last few years in Brighton previously and am just happy to help out where I can. I've recently moved back to Brighton, and work part-time at the moment. I'm almost always about, enjoy going for long walks along the seafront and into town and I go for runs most mornings. I'm happy having a chilled day in but also love to go for a wander when I'm free! I don't have any other pets at my home, and am more than happy to come to your property to look after your dogs/cats.

Ting was my very first sitter with Rover and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Vinnie and introduce me to how fab Rover is. Ting understands the needs of dogs of all sizes and breeds. She knew immediately how to look after a teenager big dog like Vinnie. He was very relaxed and well behaved with Ling, she had great control, care and came fully prepared to give him a fun walking experience! Thanks you so much Ting, we really appreciate your time and the walkies :) Lisa & Vin x

Laura took Eddy, our border terrier, for a walk to get to know him before he comes to stay with her in January. He’s a very lively and excitable dog but we could see straightaway that he was in safe, experienced hands and they had a very successful walk together. She’s also a lovely person and a very talented artist!

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats and other animals since I was very young, I’ve always been very good at connecting with them, which is why I went to Plumpton college to get my animal care diploma & my dog grooming qualification. Your animals will be very safe when they are with me, whether it be over night or just during the day. My passion is making sure all animals in my care are 100% happy and healthy. I have availability throughout the week, weekends & holidays. Please message if you have questions or would like to request care and I’ll get back to you asap. Animal welfare is extremely important to me so I do everything I can to make sure the animals in my care are happy, even if it means altering my own routine for them.

About: I grew up with 12 dogs at home and countless weekends spent at dog agility shows. This grew into a lifelong love of dogs of all sizes and personalities. I've spent the past 10 years dog sitting and walking, through word-of-mouth recommendation, until someone suggested I join Rover! I am an easy going and naturally active person, so I love to take dogs on long walks, or take them socializing in cafes (if they like to!), and do basic trick training. I've experience with dogs of all sizes, from collies to GSD's and retired greyhounds to Chihuahuas. I'm a freelancer and part-time yoga teacher, so I have lots of time to spend with four legged friends, so you can be sure they get most of my attention! I plan my work around my pups, not the other way around. At mine: I have a dog friendly apartment on ground floor, no garden but quick access to St Annes garden OR Palmeria Square. I have room to set up a crate if that is your preference. I have enrichment toys and a dog bed here too. At yours: I will follow your preferred instructions! Walking: I always stay present with the dog, I don't walk with headphones in and I am mindful of distractions or the dog's personality. I am happy to follow your preference on walk type, length, and location (within radius!) Cafe socializing: if you would like your dog to spend time in cafes and socialise, I love this too! not all dogs enjoy this, some love it, so this is down to preference. Again, the dogs comfort and tolerance is my number one priority!

About: I am 23 years old and living in Hove. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I have grown up caring for three dogs, two cats, chickens, ducks, and a tortoise. Alongside this personal experience, I have also gained over 2 years of professional pet sitting, dog walking, feeding, and house sitting. I am confident caring for pets of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, and nervous or reactive dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I can drive, and am happy to tailor walks and care routines to suit your pet's individual needs. Above all, I aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind when they're away. Having recently graduated, I currently have a very flexible schedule and am fully available throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, during work hours, and late evenings. I have experience caring for nervous and reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and respecting your pet's boundaries. Tia is a reactive dog and can be very nervous and scared of a lot of things, but Hannah and Ryan handle her with patience, understanding, and confidence. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for last-minute bookings for Dog Walking. With 3,454 Walkers in Hove, 46% respond to messages in under 5 minutes.

Many sitters keep their calendars updated in real time and you can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care in the next 24 hours, you can look for sitters with a 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
