Calm home, cosy sofa, country walks!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had dogs and cats since childhood, and even during my busiest years working in television, I always missed the companionship they bring. Now that I have more time, I’m so happy to open my home (and heart!) to dogs who need a calm, caring environment. I live near the woods and golf course in Brighton, perfect for long walks and sniffing adventures. I’m a bit of a softy - dogs are welcome on the sofa, and I don’t mind a bit of fur or muddy paws. What matters most to me is that your pet feels safe, loved, and genuinely happy to come here - the kind of bond where their tail starts wagging as soon as they reach my road. I’m thoughtful and reliable, and I’ll always follow your routines and preferences carefully - whether that’s food, walks, medication or bedtime cuddles. Every owner (and every dog!) is different, and I’ll do my best to make sure your pet’s stay feels familiar and secure. I’ve cared for puppies before and understand the patience and consistency they need, and I’m equally gentle and attentive with older dogs who prefer a quieter pace. Above all, I offer calm, stability, and affection - a genuine home from home for your much loved companion.

Nicola is great! Took our very lively lad out with a couple other dogs and they had a great time. Dropped him off with Nicola again the next day and he was VERY happy to see her. Will be booking again.
Nicola was wonderful with Leia. She was incredibly kind and agreed to help me out at very short notice, even though she’d only just got back from holiday that day. She kept me updated during Leia’s stay, and it was obvious from the photos and when I collected her that Leia had been very happy and well looked after. I’d happily leave Leia with Nicola again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.
Nicola was wonderful, it was very last minute and she was so accommodating. She updated us regularly and Freddy was very happy. Thanks so much, would definitely recommend!

Nicola was fantastic with Beans. He’s an energetic young dog and she cared for him for about two weeks. She took him on lots of walks in parks, forests and even let him swim at the beach. He returned home happy and seemed even better behaved. He was much more sociable with other dogs too. Thank you Nicola for your care.

Schedule
Currently working part time, no major commitments. Available at weekends, evenings and weekdays - and I'd love an excuse to walk more and more !

Safety, trust & environment
I have a garden which would certainly be open to dogs for their loo breaks - but always supervised. Wouldn't let cats roam - too nervous they would run off. Cats would need to stay inside. But daily walks x 3 times a day for dogs if they are up for it, woods at the top of my road.
