It’s really helpful to know as much as possible about your dog before they come to stay. This includes their daily routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medical needs, and any allergies. I’d also like to know how they are with other dogs, people, and new environments, as well as any behaviours to be aware of—like separation anxiety, chewing, barking, or guarding. Let me know what comforts them, what commands they know, and anything that helps them settle in and feel safe. The more I know, the better I can make their stay happy and stress-free.

I love spending quality time with the pets I care for and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re away from home. Depending on their personality and energy level, I’ll take them on lovely walks in the local area, play games like fetch or tug-of-war, and give them plenty of cuddles and attention. If they enjoy mental stimulation, we can do enrichment activities like treat puzzles. For more laid-back dogs, I’m happy to chill out with them, or let them nap in a cosy spot by my side.
