“It’s been our first time using Rover and our first time meeting Helen and her family. Both experiences have been excellent and better than I could imagine. Our dog was clearly very happy when we went to meet them for the first time and I felt very reassured when meeting them all that they would care for him well and he would feel at home. Helen sent some photos and updates when we were away which were lovely and when we returned he looked very well looked after and happy. I would definitely use Rover again if I need to and Helen if she is available and happy to have him.”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had a cocker spaniel called Pickles who was a huge part of my life for 15 years, and I've also cared for guinea pigs and hamsters over the years. These days, I'm a very proud cat mum to my rescue kitty, Winnie. Being around animals genuinely makes me happy. I always take the time to get to know each pet's personality and what makes them feel comfortable, whether that's a game, a cuddle, or simply giving them their own space. I'm patient, gentle, and attentive, and I always put their wellbeing first. I joined Rover because I love spending time with animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for them. I'll treat your pet with the same kindness, attention, and care that I give my own, so you can relax knowing they're in safe hands while you're away :) <3 I’m a content writer in the travel industry, which gives me the flexibility to offer dependable, consistent care for your pets. I’m based in Southwater and work in Horsham town centre, spending three days a week in the office and working from home on Tuesdays and Fridays. This setup means I’m especially available and flexible on my WFH days—and happy to tailor my schedule to suit your pet’s routine. Whether you prefer regular drop-ins, walks, or even someone to work from your home while keeping your pet company, I’m open to making it work. Being local also allows me to offer visits during the week and weekends as needed. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I strive to create a calm, familiar environment where they feel secure and relaxed. I take the time to understand each animal’s personality, preferences, and routine—whether they need active play, quiet companionship, or simply someone nearby to help them feel at ease. With a lifelong love for animals and experience across a variety of species, I’m highly attentive to their moods and body language. I notice the small things and respond with gentle, thoughtful care. I’m respectful of your space, follow instructions closely, and always aim to maintain your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. You can count on me to be reliable, trustworthy, and communicative, providing regular updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands.
About: My mum and I have lived with dogs and cats are whole lives. We have a sausage dog named Charlie who is the beloved baby of the family. We also have two cats: Lola and Leo. Charlie and the cats gets along wonderfully with small dogs- the more little doggos around, the merrier! We provide a calm, cozy, and pet-friendly environment where your dog will be treated like family. My mum and I both work from home, so there will always be someone around to give your dog attention, playtime, and regular toilet breaks. I’ll be starting my Master’s program in September, but she’ll be happily continuing with dog sitting while I study. Our fenced garden offers a safe space for outdoor time, and Charlie enjoys popping in and out through the cat flap. I’ll be home everyday to take the dogs for walks if desired and give them plenty of playtime and cuddles. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow your routines closely to help your dog feel comfortable and secure. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would want for my own.

“I managed to book Aliy last minute for an emergency stay. She was really friendly and accommodating of all my cat mum quirks! My kitten had a safe outside space and seemed very well looked after. Am happy to have found someone I’m comfortable to leave Tiddles with!”

“Philippa is a great sitter, takes care of our cat with attentiveness and patience. She allows us to travel in a more relaxed way because we are sure our pet is in great hands. Thank you!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, dogs first, growing up, then cats for most of my adult years, two of whom lived a good life all the way to 21 and 23. There's a particular kind of trust that builds slowly over time with an older animal, a language of small signals, and a practice of paying real attention which one learns to read. Over the years I've often looked after friends' pets too, and with my own older ones, I've seen them through various medications for ongoing age-related symptoms, so routines, dosages, and the small day to day adjustments that come with an aging pet are all familiar territory to me. Right now I share my home with a 12-year-old moggie/Norwegian Forest cat, who came to me as a rescue at six and settled beautifully once he felt safe — he has lots of little ways of communicating his needs. So I know what it is to live alongside family pets who have their own mind, their own rhythm, and their own way of letting you in. Whether it's a puppy full of energy or an old soul who moves a little slower these days, I meet each animal as they are no rushing, no forcing, just quiet attentiveness and the kind of care I'd want for my own. If you're picturing your pet settled, unbothered, still themselves while you're away that's exactly what I'm here to give them.

About: I've owned and cared for cats throughout much of my life, giving me plenty of hands-on experience with their daily needs, personalities, and routines. I also had my own cat for several years, so I understand the importance of providing a calm, safe, and loving environment. I'm experienced with feeding, cleaning litter trays, playing, and giving cats the attention—or space—they need, depending on their personality. Whether your cat is playful and social or prefers a quieter approach, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, well cared for, and relaxed while you're away.

“Heather looked after princess Tilly, she took great care off her,Tilly can be very warry of strangers, but Heather was very patient with her, in a few day Tilly was being a tart enjoying snuggles, I was updated daily with messages and photos of my fur baby, would highly recommended Heather ”

About: From growing up with two yellow labs to caring for a gentle Bull Mastiff needing palliative care, dogs have always been family to me. I truly love giving each dog heartfelt attention—whether it’s playful walks with a lively pup or comforting snuggles for seniors. I always stop to greet dogs I meet because they bring me so much joy. Your dog’s happiness, comfort, and feeling loved is my top priority, every single time. I currently work full time (08:30–16:30, Monday–Friday), so I’m available to look after your dog before work, after work, on weekends, and during school holidays and half terms. In those moments, giving dogs love, attention, and companionship becomes the best part of my day! I always treat a pet owner’s home with the same respect and care I’d give my own. I keep things tidy, stick closely to your dog’s routine, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and never lonely. Whether it’s gentle cuddles, playtime, a walk, or quiet company, I adapt to what each dog needs most — so they feel completely at ease until you’re back.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and had a family dog growing up from when I was 10 years old! I absolutely love dogs and the joy they bring to life. I’ve always looked after my own dog and would take her for walks, feed, play with and bathe her. As an adult my partner and I brought home a Cavapoo puppy Bella in October of 2022 so have experience with a high energy puppy as well. We take her for walks every day and she is well cared for in our home and would love to do the same for your dog! I am currently working full-time but my job is work from home so I am always home during the day so I am available during the day and on the weekends both my partner and I are home and able to dog sit! I live in a ground floor flat which has an enclosed balcony and we have a 1.5 year old Cavapoo to keep your fur baby company! We live right by a park and open field so have plenty of space to get outside and go for walks as well! We do have a spare room so do have the space to keep the dogs separated if need be as well.
About: Aswell as having my own dog and growing up with dogs, I have assisted my mum with her pet care services business in 2017, looking after customers best friends if she wasn’t able too. I’ve also helped on dog walks and pop ins for dogs and cats. I work from home 99% of the time and for that 1%, I get plenty of notice if I’m needed elsewhere. With my own woof Lily, we go out for a walk in the morning before I log on, out at lunchtime and then the evening again depending on our plans! I have a suitable garden size for toilet breaks and ball play. I also work full time hours over 4 days so off work Friday to Sunday. I have a fenced and gated garden, we have room for a crate of needed and will have a stair gate to separate access between upstairs and downstairs. We also have a spare bedroom which let’s be honest, is Lily room!

“Martine was amazing with my puppy, Bloom! She's a really nervous little thing but she settled so much quicker than I ever expected. It was lovely knowing she was getting to socialise with Martine's dog and the other daycare dogs in such a safe, caring environment. I got lots of updates throughout the day, which really put my mind at ease, and I could tell Bloom was in great hands. I'll definitely be booking with Martine again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her! Thank you so much!”

About: I am 30 Years old and a mum to a four year old. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I have always been an animal lover but never had the opportunity to have a pet for myself. I am currently a stay at home mum so am available during the week and at the weekends depending on your needs. My child does attend preschool so I can work around walks without bringing my little one along with me if needed. I am living in a ground floor flat but have a fenced and gated garden so your pet will be safe when roaming in the garden.
“I was very lucky that Portia was able to help me out last minute, was very accommodating to my new puppy. Sent me updates and photos. Very kind lady and I was very happy that my puppy was in great hands.”

About: My kitten of 18 years passed away last year, so I now have an empty nest. I know from experience how hard it is to find someone you trust to leave your baby with when you need to go away, so I'm offering a home from home for your pet. I have experience in giving all types of medication, and understanding different behaviours... and most important of all, your pet will be welcome up on the couch for cuddles. I am home all day so they will not be left alone, and can send you updates and photos as often as you wish :) I work from home, so your pet will have my attention whenever they want or need. This also means I can fit in any feeding or medication schedual. I will also be free to contact any time. I am home all day, so your baby will not be left alone... unless that's their thing! If they're young and want play time, I'll be there to play... or if they're a bit older and just want to lay on the couch and get stroked I can do that too :)
“Regular updates from Luis during Monty’s first visit was really helpful and reassuring to know that he is comfortable and having a great time. We’ve already got some dates to rebook with Luis.”

We did a meet and greet first, and she and Bailey were very friendly and understanding of her anxious behaviour, which really put me at ease. The photos throughout the day of her walks, playing inside, and especially being comfortable enough to relax on the couch were really appreciated. Couldn't ask for more in a sitter!”

“Geraldine was absolutely wonderful with our little pup! She has a heart of gold and sent me the loveliest updates all throughout the day - I could tell that our furbaby was totally in love with her, and when I collected her at the end of the day she was full of smiles. Could not recommend Geraldine enough - thank you so much for taking such good care of Baby! ❤️”

“We left Beth our 6 month old cocker spaniel with Craig while we had a day out, our first outing without her. She was very happy and obviously very well looked after. Got on famously with Piper and had a whale of a time by all accounts. Would definitely book again with this lovely family.”

“Bentley has been going to stay with Gemma one day a week for the past 6 months. He has also boarded on a few occasions. Bentley loves his day with Gemma and is always so excited when we drive up to her house. It is obvious he has a lot of fun socialising with Gemma’s dogs and he comes home happy and exhausted. We would highly recommend Gemma.”

About: 🐾Home-from-Home Boarding - One Dog Family at a Time - Secure Garden - WFH Hi, I'm Maria, and I live with my wife Helen and our teenage sons in the beautiful village of Handcross, near Haywards Heath. For many years, our home revolved around our much-loved cockapoo, Sox. After recently saying goodbye to him, we're not quite ready for another dog of our own, but we really miss having a furry companion around the house and would love to share our home, care and affection with your dog. One thing that makes our care a little different is that we only welcome dogs from one family at a time. This means your dog won't have to compete for attention or share their space with lots of unfamiliar dogs. Instead, they'll enjoy a calm, relaxed environment with plenty of one-to-one care and affection. Having cared for Sox from puppyhood through to his senior years, including supporting him with mobility issues and medication, we're experienced in caring for dogs at every stage of life. We're both home during the day, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will enjoy plenty of companionship, attention and love throughout their stay. We know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog in someone else's care. That's why we'll take the time to get to know their routine, personality and individual needs, helping them settle in at their own pace. Whether your dog loves long countryside walks and adventures or prefers a cosy spot on the sofa and plenty of cuddles, we'll make sure they feel safe, happy and completely at home. Your dog will have free run of our home and be treated as one of the family, just as Sox always was. We have a secure enclosed garden and are surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland trails and private estate grounds, offering plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and lots of sniff-filled adventures. We'll also keep you updated with messages and photos during your dog's stay, so you can relax knowing they're happy, settled and being well looked after. We can't wait to meet you and welcome your dog into our home-from-home. 🐾 We’re used to having a dog who enjoyed at least three walks a day, and as we’re both at home, we have plenty of time and flexibility to follow your dog’s usual routine. We offer a calm, safe home from home where your dog is treated like part of the family. Lots of one to one attention without other unfamiliar dogs around 🐾 We would like to keep everything familiar for them, including walks, feeding times, rest and any little extras like medication or special care.

About: I've been around dogs for most of my life and genuinely love spending time with them. Growing up, I had a family dog, which gave me a strong understanding of the care, attention, and exercise dogs need. I've also provided dog sitting and dog walking for several owners through BorrowMyDoggy, caring for dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I'm currently on the waitlist for a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, so I've been continuing to learn about training, enrichment, and responsible dog ownership while I prepare to welcome my own dog. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care while they're with me. I’m currently not working so have plenty of time to care for your pet, I’m active and like be outside so would love to take your dog on a walk or run with me! Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In your home, I'll respect your pet's usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if required), and any house rules you've set. I'll also make sure your home is left clean, tidy, and secure. If caring for pets in my home, I'll provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where they can relax and feel at home. Pets will always have fresh water, plenty of attention, regular toilet breaks, exercise, and lots of affection. I never leave pets unsupervised for longer than necessary and always ensure they're secure on walks using the lead and equipment you're comfortable with. Communication is important to me, so I'll keep you updated with regular messages and photos, giving you peace of mind while you're away.
“This is the second time Delilah has looked after Rory (6 month-old golden retriever). Delilah is great with her and I think Rory really enjoys the company of Rio, Delilah’s dog. They went for a shady walk (hot day again!) and chilled inside and in the garden. I received plenty of photos during the day. I highly recommend Delilah.”

Having said that we never have more than 3 or 4 dogs at any one time to ensure we can give them the attention they deserve. We always arrange a meet & greet to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. If you’d like to have a chat or arrange a meet & greet, we’d love to hear from you 😊 Between us, we can cover all weekly pet care needs. As I work on a freelance basis, I have a flexible schedule which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care throughout the day. My colleague works within a school and has regular time off, including holidays, so between us we’re able to offer consistent, reliable cover across weekdays, evenings and weekends. This means we can be flexible to suit your needs and ensure your pets aren’t left without care or companionship. When caring for pets, whether in our home or the owner’s home, we always aim to keep things as calm, familiar and consistent as possible. We take the time to understand each pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements and any specific needs, so they feel comfortable and settled. In the owner’s home, we respect their space and follow their pet’s normal routine closely, providing companionship, care and plenty of reassurance while they’re away. In our own homes, we offer a clean, safe and relaxed environment with fully enclosed gardens for secure outdoor time. We only take on a small number of pets so we can give them plenty of attention, care and supervision, making sure they feel at ease and well looked after. We’re also very happy to provide updates and photos, so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy, safe and in caring hands.
“Caroline is absolutely fantastic! She’s great with Hoxton and so communicative with updates and photos! Can’t thank her enough for taking such good care of my pup and every week I know he looks forward to it! Smiles all round.”

Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses, I've always understood how important it is for pets to feel safe, happy, and loved-especially when their humans are away. 🐶What I Offer Whether it's playtime in the garden, long walks in the park, or cozy cuddles on the sofa, I tailor my care to suit each pet's unique personality and needs. I want every animal to feel loved, and every owner to feel completely at ease knowing their pet is in good hands. 📸 Peace of Mind I know how comforting it is to receive updates while you're away, so I always send regular photos and messages to keep you connected with your pet's day-to-day adventures. 🦮Experience & References I've looked after pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, and I'm happy to provide references from other happy owners. Whether it's a playful puppy, a senior cat, or a spirited spaniel, I'm here to give them the love and attention they deserve. I currently work from 9am to 3pm Monday to Thursday. I would be available for home visits before 9am and after 3pm. Friday to Sunday and all school holidays i am available throughout the day! I will follow your requirements for each and every pet. I would be happy to water plants, open or close windows and curtains, clean out litter boxes, feed and water bowls. All while giving your pet some love and attention!
“Philippa was lovely, my dog did not wanna come back in from their walk, he kept leaning on Philippa and showing her affection. Photos and activities provided! Very happy with the service and a very happy pup !”

“Marc came round to do a special extra walk prior to booking him for a house sit. Marc was very good with both dogs. They are two large GSD and he was able to walk and look after them. I have now booked Marc to house sit for a weekend in October.”

About: The companionship of animals has always been part of my life. Growing up in the countryside our dogs, Kimmy & Lady - Rough Collies & Tramps a Lab/Alsatain cross were apart everyday life and my best friends. For the last five years I've regularly looked after friends' dogs, so I have become accustom to the different rhythms a dog can have, the ones who want a good long walk to settle, the ones who just want you near, the ones who take a little longer to trust a new face and the ones who don't. There's a particular kind of trust that builds slowly over time with an older animal too, a language of small signals, and a practice of paying real attention, which one learns to read. I've also shared my home with cats for most of my adult years, two of whom lived a good life all the way to 21 and 23, so I'm well practiced with the needs of aging pets generally, not just dogs. Right now I share my home with a 12 year old moggie/Norwegian Forest cat, who came to me as a rescue at six and settled beautifully once he felt safe. So I know what it is to live alongside family pets who have their own mind, their own rhythm, and their own way of letting you in. Whether it's a puppy full of energy or an old soul who moves a little slower these days, I meet each animal as they are. No rushing, no forcing, just quiet attentiveness and the kind of care I'd want for my own. If you're picturing your dog settled, unbothered, still themselves while you're away that's exactly what I'm here to give them. I am a self employed sound and movement coach and manage my own appointments & sessions accordingly, so bookings vary from day to day and at various times throughout the day.I also deliver my services online so can be at home so variety, flexibility is why looking after pets works in synergy with what I do, . I find out as much as possible about your pets likes & dislikes, habits and the things you know work well. I'm there to make sure that your home and pet is cared for as if you were there, so keeping things as normal and familiar as possible. favorite toys, sleeping & eating patterns. Discipline & routines eg, re allowed or not on furniture, sit & wait before receiving food. no begging or tip bits, etc.

I am a newly qualified Vet with plenty of availability over the summer until I find my first job in practice. Please don’t hesitate to contact me and we can create a tailored plan for your pet. About: I’ve loved animals ever since I was young, but my first real hands-on pet care experience began 15 years ago with my black Labrador puppy, Buttons. I trained and cared for her throughout her life until she sadly passed away last year. We had 14 years of fun together - walks, cuddles and plenty of mischief. She now lives on in my memories as a reminder of why I love caring for pets so much. She also taught me how to care for an animal through all stages of life - through the puppy years up to having her medications as a senior dog. I also share my life with many cats. Cleo, my first, joined me three years ago and had a litter of kittens. Helping care for them and assisting in their upbringing, including keeping one kitten we named Tavvy, was an unforgettable experience. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and now I’m thrilled to use my experience to help others — with the added bonus of even more cuddles along the way! I have 3 years’ professional experience in the pet care industry. I began by completing an animal care course, and the 3 years ago I joined Rover. Since then, I’ve loved every moment of caring for wonderful pets, no matter how challenging. My experience includes working with large dog breeds, animals with disabilities or medical conditions, and multiple-pet households — once caring for 5 cats and 5 dogs at the same time! I look forward to meeting even more incredible animals and their owners, and hope I can help care for your furry family members too. I currently work in accounts alongside my pet sitting work. My role is flexible and local, which means I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for your pets. When I’m with them, they’re always my number one priority — their comfort, happiness, and well-being come first every single time! You can trust that your pets will be treated with the same love and care I give my own. My own pets are loved, well cared for, and kept to a routine — something I truly believe helps them feel safe and happy. I know every pet is unique, and no one knows them better than their owner! I’m always happy to follow your routines, schedules, and preferences to make sure your pets get the same care they’re used to at home. No detail is ever too small — the more I know, the better I can tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs and personality. My goal is to make you feel completely comfortable and confident that your furry (or scaly!) friends are in safe, loving hands

“Seb helped me with a few walks whilst we were on holiday recently. My dog can be reactive but got on very well with him and didn’t seem to have any issues. Intelligent and empathetic, good at taking on your routine. Seb was also good at coming back to me quickly as our plans changed slightly so will be using him again. Recommended.”

Alisha and Dan were fantastic sitters—friendly, reliable, and clearly very caring. They kept us regularly updated with plenty of feedback, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. There needed to be an adjustment of end date to the booking whilst away and it was easy and seamless on the site. I would definitely use Rover again if I need to and Helen if she is available and happy to have him.”

“My dog felt very comfortable and happy in Nikki's company. She certainly knows her dogs! She was also very understanding when we had to cut short his stay due to an unexpected hospital visit. We have already booked another stay.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Nicola. Despite it being a last minute booking, she and her family took such kind and attentive care of my dog, especially because he was already unwell from the first day, he arrived with gastrointestinal issues and she went above and beyond to keep him clean, comfortable, and well looked after, even cooking rice to help him feel better and making sure he felt right at home. I also really appreciated the level of communication. Nicola kept me updated all the time, which gave me great peace of mind and reassured me that my dog was in safe, caring hands. She was also very mindful of his arthritis, making sure to walk him with extra care. What truly stood out was the level of love and attention she gave him. My dog is part of our family, and it meant so much to see him treated as if he were part of hers. He was genuinely happy staying with them and clearly felt safe and cared for. He also had a wonderful time with their lovely dog, Gino, who is kind and playful. The spacious garden gave them plenty of room to enjoy themselves, and my dog really made the most of it. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care Nicola provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a genuine dog lover who will make their pet feel comfortable and part of the family.”
