Pet care experience

Safe, Kind & Reliable Pet Care

🌟Hi! I am Julie, an experienced pet sitter based in Horsham who truly enjoys spending time with animals and making them feel safe and comfortable. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and attention, following their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel at home.
🌸I am comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, including young or energetic pets, senior pets who need a gentler pace, and nervous dogs who benefit from patience and reassurance. I can also follow basic training routines and administer simple medications according to owner instructions.
🌺For boarding and daycare, your furry baby will be staying in a calm, clean home environment where they receive plenty of supervision and companionship throughout the day. They are rarely left alone for long periods, and I plan my schedule to ensure they have enough interaction, care, and attention.
🌼Dogs typically receive two to three walks per day, depending on their energy level and owner preferences. Walks usually last 20–40 minutes and take place in safe local neighbourhood areas and nearby parks, always on leash for safety. I also include playtime, enrichment activities, and relaxation time so pets stay both mentally and physically happy.
🌷I prioritize safety by supervising outdoor time closely, using secure leashes and maintaining awareness of surroundings at all times. Inside the home, I keep the environment pet-safe and comfortable with access to fresh water, rest areas, and regular toilet breaks.
🌻Looking forward to meet you and your furry friends!

Schedule

Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine, as I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to each pet I look after. I plan my day around feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins to make sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel comfortable and cared for. I enjoy spending time outdoors and being active, so walks and play sessions are something I genuinely look forward to.

Safety, trust & environment

I always prioritise a pet’s safety, comfort, and routine whether I am caring for them in my home or in a pet owner’s home. I take time to learn each pet’s habits, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions so they feel secure and stress-free. In a pet owner’s home, I respect both the pet’s space and the home environment, keeping everything clean, secure, and consistent with their normal routine. I make sure doors and gates are safely closed, pets are supervised during walks and playtime, and they receive plenty of attention and companionship. I provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they are away. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and caring environment where pets feel comfortable and well looked after.

A typical day

A typical day starts with making sure pets are comfortable and settled, followed by feeding and a morning walk or play session depending on their routine. During the day, I spend time engaging with pets through walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and companionship. I adjust activities to suit each pet’s energy level and personality, whether that means active outdoor walks, games, or calm time and cuddles. I also make sure pets have regular toilet breaks, fresh water, and a clean, safe environment throughout the day. In the evening, pets are fed, relaxed, and given more playtime or a gentle walk before settling down for the night. My goal is to keep pets happy, active, and comfortable while maintaining the routine they are used to at home.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know important details such as their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, personality, and any medical conditions or allergies. It is also helpful to understand their behaviour around other animals and people, any training commands they respond to, and whether they have any fears or triggers. Knowing these details in advance helps me provide safe, personalised care and ensures your pet feels comfortable and well looked after while you are away.
