Hi, I’m Daniel — a compassionate and reliable pet sitter based in Southampton. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, including dogs, cats and small pets, and they’ve always been a huge source of joy for me. There’s something special about being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I’ve looked after pets for friends, family and colleagues, including dogs, cats and rabbits. Whether it’s an energetic dog who needs a good walk, a nervous pet who needs patience, or a senior animal who needs a gentler approach, I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m naturally calm, attentive and caring, but also playful when the situation calls for it. I genuinely love what I do, and nothing beats seeing a pet relaxed, happy and thriving in my care.

When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always prioritise keeping their routine and environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all instructions provided, from feeding and walks to any specific behaviours or needs, and I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space. I’m respectful of the home, keep everything clean and tidy, and ensure doors, gates and any safety measures are properly managed at all times. I stay attentive to each pet’s behaviour and wellbeing, and I’m always prepared to respond calmly if anything unexpected arises. I also keep owners updated regularly, so they can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for.

Dan did a really good job looking after my fur babies. He made every effort to make them feel comfortable and in a routine. I got videos and pictures every day and even TP licked his head- which she never does for new people! Lovely person, would definitely use him for my next trip!
Our staffie boxer cross is nuts, but Daniel knows the secret to burning off that extra energy - tennis ball playtime! If you asked, I'm pretty sure he would say Daniel is his favourite uncle.
Dan was an excellent pet sitter. He looked after Alfie for a long weekend and it went without a hitch. Alfie came back happy and relaxedand it was clear he'd a great time. I got nice updates along the way which was really reassuring. Sounds like there were loads of frisbee sessions, plenty of walks and lots of love and attention. Alfie gave Dan two paws up, I would happily book him again anytime.
Dan has looked after our pets several times now (2 rabbits and 2 cats)! Always reliable and the animals love him. He's great at keeping us in the loop and always happy to send a quick video of our pets and keep us at ease!
My dogs, Optel and Diesel, love Daniel and the care and attention that he gives them. He is a very trustworthy companion to all creatures great and small. I would strongly recommend him as a pet sitter. He knows his stuff and is responsible with both the care of the pets and the space, if staying in your place. Great communication, punctual and reliable.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work from home most of the week, which gives me good flexibility during the day. I’m typically available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends, and I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks or check-ins to make sure pets get consistent care and attention. Because of this flexibility, I can also adapt to different routines, whether that’s morning visits, evening care, or multiple check-ins throughout the day.
