Hi, I’m Daniel — a compassionate and reliable pet sitter based in Southampton. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, including dogs, cats and small pets, and they’ve always been a huge source of joy for me. There’s something special about being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I’ve looked after pets for friends, family and colleagues, including dogs, cats and rabbits. Whether it’s an energetic dog who needs a good walk, a nervous pet who needs patience, or a senior animal who needs a gentler approach, I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m naturally calm, attentive and caring, but also playful when the situation calls for it. I genuinely love what I do, and nothing beats seeing a pet relaxed, happy and thriving in my care.

When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always prioritise keeping their routine and environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all instructions provided, from feeding and walks to any specific behaviours or needs, and I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space. I’m respectful of the home, keep everything clean and tidy, and ensure doors, gates and any safety measures are properly managed at all times. I stay attentive to each pet’s behaviour and wellbeing, and I’m always prepared to respond calmly if anything unexpected arises. I also keep owners updated regularly, so they can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for.

I will definitely be using Daniel again, his care for animals is evident. I had been sceptical about hiring a sitter that I didn't already know, but he put us at ease from the first meet and greet. He cared for our senior staffy extremely well, ensuring all her medications were given on time, keeping her routines as normal as possible, and giving her lots of love.
Daniel was brilliant looking after our beautiful bengal, Freddie. He’s often a bit stressed when we get back from a trip but this time he seemed remarkably calm and happy. The pictures and videos every single visit were something we looked forward to and it was such a relief to know that he was being looked after so well back at home whilst we were away. We will always come back to Daniel for cat sitting - something I suspect Freddie will be very pleased about!
Daniel is an excellent sitter, exactly the kind of person you want watching over your pet and your home. He clearly loves and is knowledgeable about cats and connected with Ned right away. He was also very considerate in making sure our home was 100% ready for us before we returned. We will absolutely be booking with him again :)
Daniel was great and we'd really recommend him. Communication was easy right from the start and arrangements were straightforward. He kept us updated while away and did a great job looking after our old cat.

Dan did a really good job looking after my fur babies. He made every effort to make them feel comfortable and in a routine. I got videos and pictures every day and even TP licked his head- which she never does for new people! Lovely person, would definitely use him for my next trip!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work from home most of the week, which gives me good flexibility during the day. I’m typically available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends, and I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks or check-ins to make sure pets get consistent care and attention. Because of this flexibility, I can also adapt to different routines, whether that’s morning visits, evening care, or multiple check-ins throughout the day.
