A Dog’s Best Friend
Hello, I’m a BIG lover of dogs and their individual personalities. We had a family Labrador called Baileys who loved beach walks. I’ve co-parented a Pug called Darcie, who became disabled (her back legs buckled) and I took her for walks in a doggy rucksack, which she loved! Also, before they moved to Scotland, I was an auntie to my friend’s French Bulldog called Travis, who’s a rescue. I currently look after a French Bulldog called Tina. Therefore, I have experience with a diverse range of dogs, including dogs with disabilities as well as nervous, reactive dogs. Being a lover of the outdoors and nature, I enjoy taking dogs out for walks and on little adventures. I believe in giving all dogs the best quality of life and would love the opportunity to be a part of their doggy journey. I work at a local university and work from home a lot, so I’m open to a dog keeping me company at my ground floor flat where I live alone with no pets, and have a front garden. I also have spare time some evenings and weekends, and am open to looking after dogs in owners’ homes overnight and for holidays. I’m happy to answer any questions you have and I look forward to hearing from you and your fur baby.

Keira helped with a last minute request to have Oreo while we went for a family meal. Communication was great and he was well looked after.
Keira is the most loving person to be around, she treats my animals as her own and looks after them as if they was hers, I would highly recommend Keira to look after my cats any day of the week.
I have known Keira for about 15 years, she is a very conscientious, caring and responsible person. Over the years I have known her keira has house sat for me when I have been on holiday several times and has looked after my 3 cats during those times. I don't like to leave my cats in a cattery as one of my cats is very nervous and another one has a few health problems, but I have always felt they are very safe and well looked after with Keira. In recent years I have moved in my partner who has a dog. Keira often comes to stay and adores spending time with George, who loves her equally, and will often sleep cuddled up with her when she stays over. She has walked him with me on many occasions and has looked after him and taken him on walks on her own for us. She has a great way with animals, but especially dogs.
I am a dog owner, Keira has always been great around pets, particularly dogs, she seems to have a natural ability to read dog behaviour; she understands what is needed to make dogs feel comfortable and they respond really well. She is competent at handling dogs and has looked after my dog many times.
Keira is a kind, reliable and trustworthy individual with a really big heart. She has a genuine love for all animals, big or small and seems to have a natural way with them. My fur-babies just love her!! She had great experience caring for a variety of animals, most of which have been from looking after and walking dogs. I would recommend Keira to care for any animal, I know my fur-babies are always in good hands and feel at ease when they are in her care.
Keira is my daughter who has had a lot of experience caring for various dogs which she loves to do. She cared for my golden lab who we had for 11 years when I went away on holidays etc. Keira was a dog-stepparent for several years to little pug D'Arcy, who she looked after a lot when D'Arcys owner was unwell. When D'Arcy's mobility started to deteriorate, Keira carried her in a special doggy backpack so she wouldn't miss out on fresh air. More recently, Keira looked after Travis, a rescue Frenchie who was found wandering the streets. Travis was understandably nervous of people and was difficult to take out for walks but Keira persevered with him which paid off. She doesn't give up easily. Keira also cares ad hoc for friend's dogs as they know she's trustworthy and their pets will be well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Keira to care for your pet, you won't be disappointed!

Schedule
I work from home 4 days a week (days vary), and can take your fur baby to the toilet when needed during this time, and for a walk at lunch and/or after work. At weekends I like to get out in nature and would be happy to take them with me to enjoy the outdoors.

Safety, trust & environment
I have an unfenced front garden (where I would keep your fluffy one on a lead if required, or would supervise them if they can be off-lead). I live in 2 bedroom flat where I live alone, so lots of space for your fluffy one to be free with me.
A typical day
I love seeing dogs and cats happy and active (for those who can be active). Together we will play fun games for stimulation, and when looking after a dog, we would go for a walk in nature for exercise and to experience new sniffs throughout our journey.
