Pet care experience
Haywards Heath dog lover.
Hi, We are David and Rachel, a couple of dog lovers who live in Haywards Heath. Rachel grow up with dogs and is a fully qualified vet and we have had three dogs of our own. Herbie and Teddy, our Shi Tzu's, and Isis, our Chocolate Labrador. Unfortunately Herbie and Isis passed away over the past two year but we recently rescued Teddy, a two year old Shid Tzu from Liverpool and would be keen to socialise him with dog boarders. Senior care: Isis and Herbie reached old age (13 and 18 respectively) so we have a lot of experience in older dog care. In addition to my experience, my wife is a Vet so as you would expect has extensive knowledge on how to treat dogs, deliver medication etc. We live in a semi detached house with a fully fenced garden and only 5 minutes walk from the local park.

Ratings and reviews
Tilly was so happy to see David again, she wagged and cried herself silly! David was very sensitive to the special needs of an old dog , especially in the recent heat wave. I totally trust this team to look after Tilly's whole welfare.

David was fantastic with Charlie, especially as I was nervous leaving him overnight with him for the first time. He gave regular updates through the day, which I really appreciated. So delighted to have found him.

Thank you so much, Rachel, for saving the day and agreeing to a last minute walk for Min Pin! And all 15 pee breaks he took!

our dog is quite nervous but seem to settle well on his first trial day. great communication and flexibility from David
David and Rachel and just fabulous with my dog. I’m so glad I found them. Not least for the advice they have given me about my reactive doggy but also the patience and professionalism they have shown too. Would 100% recommend

Whiskey was very well looked after. Delighted to find a reluable dog boarder.

Schedule
I work from home/remotely, so I'm always around to ensure they have the company, care and supervision they need. I can drop in or do a walk on my lunch break or before and after work.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
During dog sitting, I will be the primary carer for your dog/dogs, but my wife can be a secondary carer. I will keep in regular contact with pictures and pupdates while we take care of your beloved dogs, so you can have peace of mind that your pet is being well looked after.

A typical day
A day in my care can involve: - Games - Lots of walks; we are keen foragers and fossil hunters so that they might join us for an adventure. - We let our dogs on the furniture/bed, so if it's something they are used to, we are happy to have them up there for a snuggle. - There is a nice park nearby, and if they are up for a short car ride, then Scaynes Hill and Wivelsfield are a short car ride away.
- 0 to 7 kg7 to 18 kgDogs over 1 year oldNon-neutered males accepted, spayed females onlyNo females in heatTakes only 1 client at a timeDavid can host up to 2 pets per night
- We are open to taking on more than one dog from the same household. Before dog sitting, I would like to meet your pup/s in a neutral place(probably the local park) to introduce them to Teddy and then head to our house discuss their needs and see if they are a good fit. I'll need to know all the normal things: Any medical conditions, everyday routine, what rules they follow inside the house, any behaviors to look out for, their likes and dislikes etc. We prefer to have a short (1-3 night) stay before longer holiday bookings so we can get a feel for the dog.
