While I didn’t expect updates every second, I always felt reassured that our dogs were in the best hands. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life & owned them personally. My dog, Liam, was my best friend and emotional support animal whom passed away May in 2025. I still have his sister, Molly, & together we are tackling life head on! I have always enjoyed sitting as a hobby. I love animals and dogs have always held a special place in my heart. About: I am 37 years old and have personally had cats and dogs for over 20 years and taken care of many dogs for friends and family when they have been away or busy with work. Every single one, from the Labradors to the Newfoundland, it has been a pleasure. I find all animals are a joy to be with and I thoroughly enjoy training them and playing with them. I enjoy finding ways to keep their minds active, as it benefits them greatly with their obedience and helps them rest. I recently lost my beautiful labrador friends, and currently have two smaller dogs, who are very friendly and get on well with other dogs and are very obedient. On a personal level, I have previously worked with the Police and volunteered for the Ambulance service. I have a completely clear enhanced DBS check. I have undertaken a pet first aid course to ensure I am able to deal with any emergency that may arise. I am happy working with all breeds of dog, and have experience with high-energy working dogs too, such as Malinois, but would need to know of any issues to be sure I can cater for it. Happy to train dogs whilst walking/sitting as well, but would need to know the issues prior. We are Sophie and Joshua - We require a meet and greet in our home prior to accepting any boarders Or day care, this allows you to see where your fur baby will be cared for and introduce your dogs to mine (I have 2 with details listed below) I have grown up around all breeds from small to large; specifically German shepherds, spaniels, Shih tzu’s and labs. My parents also run a dog rescue out in Spain which I often go and support and carry out UK Home check for. All dogs of shape and size welcome. I absolutely adore pets and know when you go away, if anything like me you just hope they are having fun and don’t think you’ve left them! It is my job to ensure they are happy and healthy, keep you updated and make sure they feel loved and cared until your return. I work full time from home so there is always someone for cuddles and attention, Any questions please feel free to ask we would be happy to help. I have an enclosed large fenced garden with lots of woodland and paths to go on lovely walks. They will be walked daily or twice daily dependant on your routine and have access to the garden when they need. All our pets are allowed upstairs, on the sofa and on the bed. Again if you prefer dogs not to go On furniture we will honour what they are used to! Under the stairs we have doggy pillows, blankets and beds so they can take themselves off for some peace and quiet should they wish. Before you leave your furry friend with us as I have dogs on my own I would like to introduce my dogs to yours and get them used to the environment and me. My shepherd can be a bit ‘barky’ at first meeting new dogs as she had a bad experience when younger but after 5 minutes she is fine and running round playing she loves other dogs to play with as my elder dog would rather sleep!
About: I have had pets of all kinds my whole life and my partner and I have just welcomed our own pup into our home- a little cockapoo called Paisley. Ever since I was a small child I have had the responsibility of cleaning and looking after fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs and rabbits. I am used to walking dogs both on and off the lead, whatever your preference, and my house is a short walk away from a lovely park. If your dog is happy to be in the car, there are lots of woodland walks and fields to explore very nearby. As a fellow dog owner, I understand the importance of having confidence in who would be looking after your fur baby and so I am happy to follow any rules or routines that you have in pace with your dog at home to ensure you, and your dog, are happy and comfortable.

About: I’ve taken care of dog for the past 4 years. We have a garden that is closed off suitable for a dog. We are close by parks too. Please note that I am able to board small dogs up to 7 kg. As I offer house sitting, and drop-in visits, I am flexible to up to 18 kg dogs. I work from home Mondays to Fridays so will be able to care for a dog easily. I usually walk my dog at least twice a day in safe neighbourhood with close by parks. I have a fenced garden. The doors are always closed. The living room and dining room are separated by doors too. We have dog bowls too.

“My partner was upset when he dropped our dog Ruby round on the first day, she just ran through the house straight to the garden and didn't look back! Ruby isn't a walker even though she is only 4yrs, so she was in her element, Gillian having such a lovely big garden for Ruby to explore and sniff and for them to play ball with her. I gather Ruby gave Gillian and her husband a good workout chasing Ruby to get the ball off her, as she is not one for bringing it back she likes you to chase her for it! About: We have two dogs (12 year old Puggle and 8 year old Chug) and have always loved animals. Our 8 year old is a rescue pup, so we also have significant experience with and patience for reactive dogs. Melanie used Rover for years and our experience as pet owners lend to deeply understanding what pet owners are looking for when it comes to hiring care for their babies. We are both reliable and responsible in personal and professional settings, and look forward to helping you with your pet needs! We can be available for dog walking and drop-in visits! We tag team this, so you may get one or both of us depending on our schedules and your request. Melanie will almost always have our young child strapped into a carrier for walks and drop-ins, so please let us know if this will create any sort of issue for your pet. We are ready to follow all instructions for taking care of your beloved fur baby/babies. Between the two of us, we can be available to walk or drop in for a mid-day potty break many days. About: No personal pets but have looked after family/friends dogs and cats. Not fussy can meet what you need on the weekends and help where I can. Currently in the forces looking for part time work on the weekend to some extra cash and something to do on the weekend from Friday to Sunday. Happy to follow whatever request or needs you have for your pet from walks to looking after your pet over nights over the weekend if anything specific please ask.
About: Since i was a baby I've grown up around many different kinds of animals, as well as being raised in a 4 cat, 1 dog household until i was 15. I dealt with high energy pets. I was also often left in charge of my cousins cocker spaniel, for long periods of time, where my requirements were to walk, feed a special diet, and play with for multiple hours in a day, sometimes more than a few days back to back. Over time i learned to adjust my care to suit my pets ages, my Yorkshire terrier has had asthma and a collapsed trachea for most of her life, i understand how to care for a dog with health issues along with cats, my senior 18 year old Bengal has many of her own health issues and needs special accommodation for her separation anxiety and dietary requirements. I am well versed on giving medications in various forms, and I'm not afraid to provide these to bigger dogs. Along with this, i have previously helped my own sister with her professional dog sitting for the past year when she's needed extra support for bigger dogs or fuller households, though i am able to manage this task on my own too. I currently don't work, so my schedule is completely open, and I'm more than happy to dedicate as much time as you need to accommodate your pets! Anything that may take a lot of time in a week is the perfect fit for me, i love spending time getting to know and understand your animals. I have a very private garden that backs onto other gardens, separated by a fence, and fitted for all dogs. I have fake grass which highly reduces the chance of ticks especially at this time of year, and it is located in a quiet neighborhood with no noisy traffic or noise during the day or especially at night. I have a larger open house, big enough for larger dogs to roam around and explore! My neighborhood is quiet and rather large, with many various places to walk dogs.

Sam took this all on without fuss and followed the instructions we left with her. We we provided regular pupdates and Sam asked questions if she wasn’t sure about anything which was very reassuring as this was Billie’a first stay and she was just getting to know Billie. Billie had a lovely stay and will look forward to having another stay with her new friend Sam soon.”

While I didn’t expect updates every second, I always felt reassured that our dogs were in the best hands. About: I am 37 years old and have personally had cats and dogs for over 20 years and taken care of many dogs for friends and family when they have been away or busy with work. Every single one, from the Labradors to the Newfoundland, it has been a pleasure. I find all animals are a joy to be with and I thoroughly enjoy training them and playing with them. I enjoy finding ways to keep their minds active, as it benefits them greatly with their obedience and helps them rest. I recently lost my beautiful labrador friends, and currently have two smaller dogs, who are very friendly and get on well with other dogs and are very obedient. I take it upon myself to learn new ways to care for and train dogs, it is a huge interest of mine. On a personal level, I have previously worked with the Police and volunteered for the Ambulance service. I have a completely clear enhanced DBS check. I have undertaken a pet first aid course to ensure I am able to deal with any emergency that may arise. I am happy working with all breeds of dog, and have experience with high-energy working dogs too, such as Malinois, but would need to know of any issues to be sure I can cater for it. Happy to train dogs whilst walking/sitting as well, but would need to know the issues prior. I have experience working with dogs that are nervous or scared of specific things, as well as experience of dogs that pull when walking, and/or can be aggressive towards others. I will only ever work with one client at a time and never take multiple jobs at once. This ensures peace of mind that your dog would have my full attention and there should be no conflict with other unknown dogs. Please ensure that you are happy paying me through Rover before booking. I’m currently working for myself in IT which gives me the flexibility to work different hours and enables me to be able to walk and play with dogs when needed to help others. I will have a discussion with you about what you would prefer for your pet, and any specific needs. I will always endeavour to meet your needs/requirements where possible and I will always look after your property.
