About: Hello! My name is Louise and I am animal obsessed and have been for my entire life. I have pet sat since early teens and have 3 separate animal based qualifications. I am currently running a small educational animal sanctuary and a dog grooming parlour. I also compete at flyball with our own dogs. I have years of experience working with animals doing things such as pet sitting, walking and training among many other things. We have 3 children who also adore animals and are turing into great little helpers and trainers in their own right. Animals in our care are looked after as our own and really become part of the family. We love taking any dogs in our care with us on day trips and some even enjoy coming camping with us in the caravan when we go to dog events. A little holiday of their own! Most of the income we make from pet sitting goes straight back into our animal sanctuary to help us care for our rescues, so its all for a good cause! Your dog will become part of the family, joining us for animal sanctuary duties, dog walks, going to the grooming room and more. They can join us at flyball in the caravan where they will be utterly spoilt. We are happy to care for a wide range of animals and have knowledge from dogs to guineapigs, to parrots and snakes we do it all. We work with the animals and their personalities having cared for very nervous and reactive dogs to the cuddliest rabbits you have ever met. We work with them all and my knowledge and qualifications in animal behaviour are invaluable!

“I would highly recommend Mirranda. Both my cats are very shy around new people - so although she only saw one of them briefly (instead of hunting for them and stressing them out). She was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. From feeding, watering and keeping on top of the litter tray.”

“I went away for two weeks and asked Sophy to look after my four fur-babies. They were very well looked after. After every visit (morning and evening) Sophy sent me photos of my babies playing and a message telling me how they were doing that day. I’m very happy with Sophy’s service provided and wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again or recommend her.”

“Heather was brilliant kept us updated the whole time the dogs looked like they were having a blast 😁 we would recommend Heather to anyone looking for a drop in visit. She stepped in last minute when another canceled on us. Thank you 🙏”

About: I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by dogs, and my love for them, running, and the great outdoors is at the heart of everything I do. Why trust me with your best friend? I know first hand that every dog is unique, and not every pup thrives in a standard group walk setting: 🏥 Dog First Aid Trained: Fully certified in canine first aid, so you have total peace of mind knowing your dog’s safety and well-being are in trained, capable hands on every trail and track. 🐶Experience with Medical & Dietary Needs: My Staffy, Lola, lives with allergies and strict dietary restrictions. I’m completely comfortable administering medication, managing special diets, and keeping a watchful eye on health conditions. 🫶🏼Support for Anxious & Reactive Dogs: Lola is also an anxious and reactive dog, giving me years of hands-on experience managing triggers, keeping dogs calm, and ensuring 1-on-1 walks are safe, positive, and stress-free. 💫Safe & Reliable Transport: I drive a spacious vehicle equipped to transport your dogs comfortably and safely for pickups and drop-offs. 🔑🔒Fully Insured & Professional: By day, I work full-time as a Project Accountant—so detail, safety, and reliability are built into my DNA! Combining my career with my love for trail running and Canicross means your dog gets 100% focused, high-quality care during pre-work mornings or post-work evenings. Whether your dog needs a high-energy Canicross trail run to burn off steam or a patient, structured solo walk, my goal is to give you complete confidence while giving your pup the absolute best time. 🌿🏃♀️🐕 I currently work full time as a Project Accountant. I have 5 dogs of my own, all from different backgrounds with different temperaments. I enjoy spending time with animals and ensuring they are living the best life possible. I enjoy walking and running. Especially canicross! I regularly run with my own dogs and others. I've lived in the area my entire life and know all of the best walking spots for whatever your dog is into! I am fully insured, DBS checked and first aid trained. I'm there to see your dog, not your house. My main focus and priority is to provide a simple but effective service to ensure your pooch gets the best care possible.
About: We regularly look after a 7 year old golden retriever for a family friend which involves regular walks, feeding and bathing. We love to give her lots of attention and play time! We have been trusted to look after her when the family are away for long periods of time on holiday on a regular basis. My partner and I currently work full-time but we have days where we work from home to take your dogs out on walks, drop in for feeding or play time! In the weekdays where we do not work from home, we are available for dogs walks or drop ins in the evenings from 7pm - 9pm. We are able to care for your dog at your home or in our home in whatever way works best for your dog. We could use a crate if needed. We do not own any other dogs but would love to keep your doggy company
About: I rescued my Romanian street dog, Skyler, 9 years ago, and since then we've shared countless adventures together - including over 10,145 miles of walk as of July 2026! We love exploring the outdoors and I've built up a collection of 25+ walking routes within a 20 mile radius, giving my dog and others plenty of variety, enrichment, and opportunities to enjoy new sights and smells. Living with Skyler, who is naturally sensitive and cautious, has given me extensive experience caring for nervous, shy, and more reserved dogs. I understand the importance of patience, building trust at the dog's own pace, and creating a calm, positive environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I have also cared for family dogs, giving me experience with a range of personalities and needs. Alongside my hands-on experience, I have a career in veterinary pathology, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health, behaviour, and recognising when something may be out of the ordinary. I'm also a keen photographer in my spare time, so I love capturing beautiful moments and can provide owners with high-quality photos of their dogs enjoying their time with me. I work full time during the week, so I am available for pet car primarily on weekday evenings and throughout the weekends. I offer drop-in visits and dog walking during those times, and I can also provide house sitting services from Friday through Sunday. I'm committed to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure each pet gets the time, exercise and attention they need within my availability. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routines while their owners are away. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and familiar by following care instructions closely. I treat every pet and home with respect.
About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 20 years old from pet sitting, long or short walk, boarding and of course taking care of our own pets. I've got experience with it all. I am currently at the beginning stage of setting up my dog walking business as full time. Your pup will have my full love and compassionate care. I am available all days anytime. My wife and I live in a two bedroom house across the massive park. A huge trail is nearby and long walks will be taken along the woodlands. I am very clean, my Siberian Huskey have his own place to sit next to me on our sofa so your pup can too! My goal is to make sure your dog enjoys their stay away from home and is as comfortable as possible. I will maintain any schedule you have and will make sure your dog gets extra love during your time apart.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life! Ex dog handler so used to all types of dogs which was all about training and looking after the dogs. I also studying animal management, including canine care at college when I was younger. Previously had cats at my family home too. I currently work shifts so I have lots of spare time when I’m not at work in the fitness industry! I love being around/working with animals especially dogs so this is perfect whilst I hopefully transition out of the fitness industry and into canine behaviour! My little French bulldog absolutely owns the house!! She sleeps where she likes and has full access to the whole house and that’s just how I like to treat other pets! They are a blessing to have with us in this life and I wouldn’t want them treated any differently!
About: I’ve taken care of dog for the past 4 years. We have a garden that is closed off suitable for a dog. We are close by parks too. Please note that I am able to board small dogs up to 7 kg. As I offer house sitting, and drop-in visits, I am flexible to up to 18 kg dogs. I work from home Mondays to Fridays so will be able to care for a dog easily. “Giuliana was brilliant with our dog. Nothing was too much trouble and they seemed to get on really well. She was really helpful in advance of our visits as she arranged to come and meet our dog and talk through his needs which gave us alot of confidence.”

About: I started dog walking as a teenager and have always grown up around pets. I am now a cat-dad to two British Shorthairs. I love meeting all animals and can't wait to meet your pets! I am an insured pet sitter. I am fully self-employed and work remotely from home so I am often available at short notice. My wife is able to look after our own cats should I be needed to house sit for long periods of time for your pets. I appreciate very clear instructions. I always prefer to err on the side of caution and will take safety extremely seriously. I am happy to do meet & greets if it means getting the chance to have a thorough understanding of your pet's specific needs.
About: I have had pets of all kinds my whole life and my partner and I have just welcomed our own pup into our home- a little cockapoo called Paisley. Ever since I was a small child I have had the responsibility of cleaning and looking after fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs and rabbits. I have been a dog walker for neighbours and house sat for cats and dogs for friends and family for years as well. I know that the school holidays and the weekends are a time where lots of families struggle to get away or have days out because of pet care so I want to offer a solution, as a teacher who loves animals. I am currently working part time and mostly from home in a job where I get to choose my hours so would love to help however I can :) We have one pet- Paisley- who is very friendly and good with dogs of lots of breeds, I would recommend our pups meeting before the booked service though to ensure they get along- and we have no children. We have a garden with high fences and when we have dog sat in our home the dogs have been happy and content here. I am used to walking dogs both on and off the lead, whatever your preference, and my house is a short walk away from a lovely park. If your dog is happy to be in the car, there are lots of woodland walks and fields to explore very nearby. As a fellow dog owner, I understand the importance of having confidence in who would be looking after your fur baby and so I am happy to follow any rules or routines that you have in pace with your dog at home to ensure you, and your dog, are happy and comfortable.

I highly recommend Emma. Emma was absolutely brilliant with our cat, who is normally quite picky at who he allows to stroke him, and within the first couple of visits she was able to give him head tickles. She gave us lovely updates each day with photos and was very responsive to messages. I am so glad to have found Emma, and will continue to use her in the future.
Rhea was fantastic looking after Freddie and Bowie. Even shy boy Bowie came out to say hello! She kept me updated throughout with lovely photos and videos, which gave me real peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. It was clear they were in great hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Rhea again. Highly recommend! 🐾😊

Emily looked after our cats for 8 days, and she was absolutely brilliant. She took wonderful care of them, kept us updated, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy a truly stress-free holiday knowing our cats were in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will definitely book her again.

We booked 2 home visits with Michael for an afternoon and evening visit. We are beyond grateful to have found Michael - we were looking very last-minute and yet Michael made it possible - and even made sure to meet Nelson (and us) beforehand which really put our minds at ease. It was the first time that Nelson was home alone for an extended period of time, and Michael helped it be a huge success. Nelson seemed calm and content whenever we checked in in between Michael's visits, and the feedback and photos Michael sent us after the visits confirmed this also. We are genuinely beyond grateful and felt that Nelson was in capable hands during the visits. I am sure Nelson can't wait to be left home alone again so that he can see Michael again! :) Thank you, Michael!

We have nothing but a big thank you to Heather for looking after our Monty with her good care. This was the first time for us to use Rover but she was patient answering any of our questions and eased our anxiety leaving Monty at home for 2 weeks. She is professional and has good observation as well as very friendly. Her comments and lots of photos from her visits have assured us that Monty has been relaxed and happy for his company with Heather. We definitely would not hesitate and come back to her next time again. Thank you verymuch.

Becca looked after our cats very well over 2 sets of 2 days and did everything requested. Everything was left neat and tidy and she made a good effort to make friends with them despite them being nervous and wary. Thank you very much Becca. We hope to book you next time we need cat sitters.

Sophy have been Tux's visit human for a number of months now... she is so lovely with him. I get incredible updates of how he is doing, even spotting changes in his character if he is having a tough day. Highly recomended! Tux continues to look forward to his weekly visit.

I would highly recommend Mirranda. Both my cats are very shy around new people - so although she only saw one of them briefly (instead of hunting for them and stressing them out). She was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. From feeding, watering and keeping on top of the litter tray.

Emma looked after my kittens beautifully. They are difficult and a bit naughty but I felt like they were safe with her. She kept me informed of how they were doing, and they were safe and happy when we got back. I highly recommend her. Thank you again Emma!

Holly is incredible!!! Warm, kind, caring, reliable, I simply could not ask for better care for Filemon. I am beyond grateful that Holly agreed to care for Filemon during my family visit abroad. We are simply to lucky to find her! Filemon was safe, relaxed, happy, cuddled, Holly sent us visit cards and photos absolutely fantastic.

Natalie and her partner were amazing with our cat Tigger whilst we were away. You can tell they both really love cats and genuinely cared, staying to cuddle him not just dropping in to feed him. I would highly recommended, really nice people and made the experience so stress free and easy x
Karen was a great find, reliable, friendly and totally trustworthy. She took great care of Dotty and spent time making her feel happy and relaxed. I got regular updates and pictures which I very much appreciated. I am so impressed that I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
