“We’re extremely happy with the care Sushi received! Mirrand is clearly very experienced with cats and genuinely loves and understands them. She spent lots of quality time with Sushi—playing music, interacting with her, giving her plenty of cuddles and attention, and brushing her fur. She also kept everything very clean and tidy. When we came home, Sushi was happy, healthy, relaxed, clean, and clearly very well cared for. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. We’re very satisfied and truly grateful for all the care and attention. Highly recommended! ❤️🐱”

“Jess came for a drop in session while myself and hubby were out for the day. Great communication throughout the booking process and looking at the photos she sent through, Dotty and Marey had a great time with her playing in the garden!! Thanks Jess, hoping we can book you in again in the near future! xx”

About: Hello! My name is Louise and I am animal obsessed and have been for my entire life. I have pet sat since early teens and have 3 separate animal based qualifications. I am currently running a small educational animal sanctuary and a dog grooming parlour. I also compete at flyball with our own dogs. I have years of experience working with animals doing things such as pet sitting, walking and training among many other things. We have 3 children who also adore animals and are turing into great little helpers and trainers in their own right. Animals in our care are looked after as our own and really become part of the family. We love taking any dogs in our care with us on day trips and some even enjoy coming camping with us in the caravan when we go to dog events. A little holiday of their own! Most of the income we make from pet sitting goes straight back into our animal sanctuary to help us care for our rescues, so its all for a good cause! Your dog will become part of the family, joining us for animal sanctuary duties, dog walks, going to the grooming room and more. They can join us at flyball in the caravan where they will be utterly spoilt. We are happy to care for a wide range of animals and have knowledge from dogs to guineapigs, to parrots and snakes we do it all. We work with the animals and their personalities having cared for very nervous and reactive dogs to the cuddliest rabbits you have ever met. We work with them all and my knowledge and qualifications in animal behaviour are invaluable!

“We have nothing but a big thank you to Heather for looking after our Monty with her good care. This was the first time for us to use Rover but she was patient answering any of our questions and eased our anxiety leaving Monty at home for 2 weeks. She is professional and has good observation as well as very friendly. Her comments and lots of photos from her visits have assured us that Monty has been relaxed and happy for his company with Heather. We definitely would not hesitate and come back to her next time again. Thank you verymuch.”

Our first time using Rover and having a cat sitting. Jess did such an amazing job of putting our minds at ease She arranged for a meet & greet before we went away to meet the cats and then kept us up to date with photos and comment on how the cats were. The cats instantly took to Jess which is all you really need to know. Highly recommend. Thank you Jess.

Becca is amazing! This is the first time we have left our two indoor cats whilst we went away so I was a little anxious, but absolutely no reason to be, Becca has brilliant communication & sent lots of pictures & videos after every visits. My cats were really well looked after & when we arrived home it was as though we hadn’t even been away. Were really pleased to have found Becca & will definitely be using her again 😀

Char was great and looked after our kitten really well while we were away. We were given photos and video updates which added to the peace of mind. Char was also very diligent in capturing all the details on food and habits and also left us a lovely note detailing how the visits went at the end. Great and quick communication as well. Highly recommend.

We were really happy that Emily was able to look after our cat while we were away. Meggie took to Emily immediately, giving us peace of mind that she would be well looked after with the added bonus of knowing the house would be regularly visited. Thank you Emily!

I'm always nervous going away and leaving our 2 kitties. Needn't have been as Charlie is fantastic. Her updates, photos, and thoughtful care gave us real peace of mind. She went above and beyond to ensure they were looked after and getting their meds. Tackled a few auto feeder problems encountered too. Skylar loved playing with the toys she brought along. Luna shocked us all by coming out of hiding the last few days, unheard of with other sitters. We’ll definitely book her again, highly recommended! Thank you Charlie xx

I highly recommend Emma. Emma was absolutely brilliant with our cat, who is normally quite picky at who he allows to stroke him, and within the first couple of visits she was able to give him head tickles. She gave us lovely updates each day with photos and was very responsive to messages. I am so glad to have found Emma, and will continue to use her in the future.
We booked 2 home visits with Michael for an afternoon and evening visit. We are beyond grateful to have found Michael - we were looking very last-minute and yet Michael made it possible - and even made sure to meet Nelson (and us) beforehand which really put our minds at ease. It was the first time that Nelson was home alone for an extended period of time, and Michael helped it be a huge success. Nelson seemed calm and content whenever we checked in in between Michael's visits, and the feedback and photos Michael sent us after the visits confirmed this also. We are genuinely beyond grateful and felt that Nelson was in capable hands during the visits. I am sure Nelson can't wait to be left home alone again so that he can see Michael again! :) Thank you, Michael!

We have nothing but a big thank you to Heather for looking after our Monty with her good care. Sophy have been Tux's visit human for a number of months now... she is so lovely with him. I get incredible updates of how he is doing, even spotting changes in his character if he is having a tough day. Highly recomended! Tux continues to look forward to his weekly visit.

Emma looked after my kittens beautifully. They are difficult and a bit naughty but I felt like they were safe with her. She kept me informed of how they were doing, and they were safe and happy when we got back. I highly recommend her. Thank you again Emma!

Holly is incredible!!! Warm, kind, caring, reliable, I simply could not ask for better care for Filemon. I am beyond grateful that Holly agreed to care for Filemon during my family visit abroad. We are simply to lucky to find her! Filemon was safe, relaxed, happy, cuddled, Holly sent us visit cards and photos absolutely fantastic.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rushmoor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
