About: I grew up with a big, silly Irish Red Setter who was truly part of the family. He set the bar for how fun, gentle and full of personality dogs can be and we still laugh about his antics today. In recent years I’ve looked after friends’ and family’s dogs while they’ve been away, making sure they’re fed, walked, played with and properly cared for. I absolutely love going on long walks, so having a four-legged pal to join me is always a joy. I’m a naturally caring person and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy and like they’re having their own little holiday too.
About: I live in Basingstoke with my family and have been in the UK since 2003, having grown up in South Africa. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I can’t imagine a home without pets in it. I share my home with one awesome little Jack Russell who is truly the centre of my heart and my family’s world. Growing up with pets has taught me how important they are as family members, not “just animals,” and I understand the love, patience, and care they deserve. I’m fortunate to work from home, which means I’m always around for my children and our fur baby. This also allows me to offer reliable, attentive care for other people’s precious companions. I have the time, availability, and genuine passion to help give pets the care, comfort, and attention they need while their owners are away. I work flexible hours from home and do the daily school run, but outside of that I’m available for pop-in visits, walks, daycare (at my home or yours), and overnight boarding — both during the week and at weekends. Pets in my care are treated as part of the family and looked after in a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in a family home with children who are kind, gentle, and used to being around animals, as well as our friendly 1-year-old Jack Russell, who is well socialised and loves having company. All interactions are always supervised to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe. In my home, pets are never left alone for long periods and their routines are kept as close as possible to what they’re used to, including feeding times, walks, play, and rest. My home is clean, secure, and pet-safe, with plenty of space for relaxation and play. I carefully consider each booking to ensure it’s a good fit for a home environment and introduce pets slowly and thoughtfully. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I’m respectful, reliable, and follow all instructions closely to maintain consistency and trust. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone else, so I treat every animal as if they were my own and provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Eleanor did just over a week of daily drop-in visits for my 19 year-old cat. He was very well cared for and I was sent daily photos of him - very reassuring. I'm very happy to recommend Eleanor's pet serivices, and will definitely be asking her to help me out again.”

“Eve is very attentive, diligent and most importantly loves our doggos ! She is super reliable and her flexibility around days and timings is very convenient. She will remain as one of our go to dog sitters !”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats, and over the years I’ve built a strong foundation of hands-on experience and knowledge in animal care. I hold a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and I’m also a dog handler in the military reserves, which has given me a high level of discipline, responsibility, and confidence working with dogs of all temperaments. I have my own German Shepherd, so I naturally have a soft spot for larger, high-energy breeds and understand the level of exercise, structure, and stimulation they need. I’m very passionate about animal welfare and always provide a safe, enriching, and positive experience for every pet in my care. Alongside this, I have a strong understanding of dog behaviour and experience in training dogs to a high standard. I aim to reinforce good habits on every walk, from lead manners to calm social interactions - helping make life easier and more enjoyable for both dogs and their owners. As well as furry companions, I’m also experienced in exotic pet care. I have 8 reptiles of my own, so I’m very confident handling and caring for a variety of species, making me a great option for multi-pet households. I am a full-time dog walker/pet sitter so have all the time in the world for your fluffy friends! I do however attend one weekend a month for my military dog handler role but I'm sure I'll be able to fit you in around that! I offer in-home pet care through house sitting, so your pets can stay happy and relaxed in the comfort of their own space. I really value creating a calm, safe environment and I treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own. I naturally like to keep things clean and organised, so helping out with household tasks is never a problem. I always like to go the extra mile, I always aim to go the extra mile, so you can return to a home that feels just as clean - if not cleaner than you left it, with your pets happy, settled, and well cared for.

Lots of games or chill out with cuddles
“Freya did regular drop in visits with our very young puppy for a few weeks and she was absolutely brilliant. From the meet and greet Freya was very professional, respected every request and routine we wanted for our puppy, and communicated effectively every day with updates of how he had been. On top of this, she took top quality photos of him which we will treasure forever. Thank you Freya”

About: I’ve taken care of Dogs since I was 10 years old. I have lots of patience and I have taken care of pets for my aunts, grandmother and my own dogs. Back home, I had three Boerboels two Jack Russells and a German short haired pointer. I regularly bathed, walked and groomed my dogs. I have such a love for all animals. Dogs are so important because they’re a part of your family. I currently don’t have any other employment so I’ll be able to put my full attention into taking care of your pets to the best of my ability. I take dogs for regular walks, give them treats feed them on time and bathe them when necessary. I love playing with pets out in the garden or the park. I feel that exercise and love the two most important things that you can give to a dog

I live in a house with a secure, fully fenced garden where pets can safely enjoy time outdoors. I have a gentle, well-behaved dog who is calm and used to being around other animals. I always introduce pets carefully and make sure everyone feels comfortable and settled. Your pet will be treated like one of my own, with a safe, clean home environment and plenty of attention, care, and routine maintained throughout their stay. 🐾
“Hollie was really lovely with Goose, she made sure to play with him and we got lovely photos of him while we were away. So was always so diligent with making sure he didn’t get out as he is an indoor cat. I’m sure he was sad to see her go. Will definitely contact Holly again !”

For me dogs are not just pets – they are family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and being active outdoors. About: Hi my name is Anna :) I simply adore all animals and do believe a home is not a home without one. I cant think of anything better than to be curled up on a sofa with a doggy by my side. Having recently lost my Mini Schnauzer Mutley earlier on this year I now feel ready to put all my love and care into something as rewarding as this. In the last few years I have had 4 Mini Schnauzers one of which was a rescue from Battersea (Missy) She came to me a scared nervous dog who had never even seen grass or been on a lead and struggled being in the same room. She eventually after a little time blossomed into the sweetest poppet and lost her fears and lived the life she so truly deserved. I can honestly say it was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I dearly love all animals and want you to know they would receive the best care ❤️ in my company. A truly pampered pooch ! X I am currently at home so able to give full commitment to your pet. I have a completely fenced off back garden in a fairly quiet area. I have a fenced off back garden in a reasonably quiet area. My home is their home and I would allow them everywhere in the house.

Ever since the initial quote, Ella’s communication has been excellent. During each visit, she kept me updated with what was done and sent photos, and spent time on each visit to be with the cat. I couldn’t have asked for anything or anyone better, and I would 100% recommend
Hollie was really lovely with Goose, she made sure to play with him and we got lovely photos of him while we were away. So was always so diligent with making sure he didn’t get out as he is an indoor cat. I’m sure he was sad to see her go. Will definitely contact Holly again !

Emily is so lovely, she took a real interest in Frank and made him feel safe with her calm loving nature. I felt so at ease knowing she was with Frank and that he was in good hands. I’d definitely love for Emily to look after him again in future. Thankyou 🫶🏼

Chantelle is absolutely amazing. She looked after my 3 cats and 4 guinea pigs. She handled all their feeding, litter cleaning, and medications. I was especially grateful for how she managed the guinea pigs during the heatwave, constantly changing ice packs and managing fans to keep them cool, alongside keeping up with the daily poo picking. Plus, the daily photos she sent were so good, better than any I’ve ever taken of them 😂 I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter.

We had a great experience with Krizsta looking after our little female cat. She was very attentive and punctual, ensuring our cat builds a bond with her beforehand, making sure she had everything she needed and even going an extra mile by asking us to let her know if the cat needed anything else. When we came back from our holiday, our cat seemed very happy and well looked after, so we would definitely book her again.

Katherine was great from start to finish. She was friendly and professional when meeting her and catered for everything we'd asked for. Dexter instantly befriended her and was a happy contented boy when arrived home. We would highly recommend Katherine, and will request her again. 😊

First time getting someone to look after our cats and was a bit of a last minute booking so very appreciative of Megan for helping us out. She came over and we talked through all of their needs a few days before which was very reassuring. Got some lovely pictures sent through whilst she was with our boys and you could tell they both had a great time with her! Thanks again Megan, will definitely be booking you again when needed! 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
