For me finding someone who realised and understood how nervous I was leaving her with anyone was so important, she’s basically my emotional support dog(but aren’t they all). I needn’t have worried. She was welcomed into James’ family and was treated as one of their own. James sent updates daily which allowed me to relax into and enjoy my holiday safe in the knowledge that Pepper was being well looked after. Pepper is quite a needy dog, a “lock down pup”, so all the cuddles and attention was exactly what she wanted and she befriended James’ dog Bailey which was wonderful to see. I will definitely be asking James to look after Pepper again and can without hesitation recommend him.”

About: I have loved dogs and animals all my life and have many years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs. I grew up with a Border Collie and had my beautiful Golden Retriever for 14 years. I now have Hudson, my two-year-old chocolate Labrador, who I trained from a puppy. I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, happy and settled. I am patient, caring and responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether that’s walking, playing, cuddling or simply keeping them company. New to Rover, but certainly not new to dogs. 🐶 I work a mix of home and office-based hours, giving me good flexibility for pet care. My day starts with an early 5.30am walk, and I usually spend only a couple of hours in the office before working from home. I am home with Hudson for most of the day and we have another walk every evening, usually covering 4–5 miles a day. I can offer boarding and walks depending on your dog’s needs and my availability. I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a safe, comfortable home where dogs can relax and feel at ease. I have plenty of space and can use separate rooms if dogs need their own space or time to settle. Hudson is friendly and used to being around other dogs, but I understand that every dog is different and will always follow their individual routine and needs. I will provide plenty of supervision, exercise, affection and attention so your dog feels safe and cared for while they are with me.

About: Pets have been a constant in my family my whole life - dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, chickens - to name a few. I now run my own bridal alterations business, this however is notoriously seasonal so thought I would combine my love of animals and the outdoors with my daily steps. As an adult I have always wanted my own pets however for the last ten years whether it be for travel or university I haven't been home consistently enough for it to be fair. Now I have my own business and work from home I can provide full time care and attention to your beloved pets. All whilst I convince my boyfriend the time is right for us to rescue one of our own! About: Hello everyone, I've always had a great love for dogs since a child . I have a lot of experience and I am confident with all breeds and sizes . They really are a joy to be around . Please note when your dog is in my care they are treated like family. Lots of cuddles, kisses and good conversation hehe! They really do understand what are saying to them . Not to worry if your fur baby is on medication I am more than capable and comfortable with giving medicine, needles , if your dog has diabetes and checking their sugar levels to. I am here to make you feel at ease while you are away from them . A good long walk, play time and stimulating their brain with treats of course makes a very happy dog 🐕 I'm working from home so I'm available 24/7. Walking and playing can happen around the clock. They will not be left alone. They will be happy I live in a flat, there are so much parks at my finger tips to take them out for walk, run and play and fresh air.

About: I’ve been a veterinary nurse for over 8 years, working with cats and dogs of all different breeds and sizes. I’m comfortable administering medication and caring for both seniors and puppies. Having taken a short break from clinical work to go travelling I miss my furry friends and would love the opportunity to get to know yours! I’m currently taking a break from working having returned from a few months of travelling so I’m available to walk and play with your pets at a time that suits you best. I have two lovely cats of my own, but this means unfortunately I cannot have your pets over for a sleepover. But I love visiting pets in their own space and keeping them company. Having a stranger in your home can be daunting so I’m always respectful of any rules you have in place!

If I’m staying at a pet owner’s home, I’ll make sure their pet is comfortable and cared for in their familiar surroundings, while sticking to their usual routine and any specific instructions you leave me.

About: I have lived with many dogs and cats throughout my life. I have trained and looked after neighbours dogs as well as cats. I have also volunteered for a couple years in a cattery helping looking after (indoor/outdoor) cats. I am currently working part time, however only work about 10 hours per week so I have plenty of time throughout the week to provide services and take care of your pet. I will familiarise myself to new locations/walks near your home and adapt to any preference that you may have during visits and walks. At first, I will keep dogs on lead as I still get to know them and they get to know me to keep them safe. Your pup would always be supervised, unless in a crate, pen or any other enclosed and secure environment. And I will take plenty of photos and update you on how your pet was.

About: I have been looking after families pets since I was young and have grown up with dogs of all sizes. I currently look after my sisters labradoodle puppy and my nans bocker (beagle cross cocker spaniel). I have also had and looked after ferrets before so have experience with other animals. James sent updates daily which allowed me to relax into and enjoy my holiday safe in the knowledge that Pepper was being well looked after. Pepper is quite a needy dog, a “lock down pup”, so all the cuddles and attention was exactly what she wanted and she befriended James’ dog Bailey which was wonderful to see. During a period of extreme heat they made sure that he was not exhausted or stressed by the weather, only walking him during the cooler parts of the day, making sure there was plenty of shade in their garden and cool spaces in their house. They were really attentive to his mood and needs. I can not praise them highly enough, they really took great care of Ffinn and that meant we could relax, knowing that he was in safe hands. About: I’ve always had dogs and absolutely love animals. I currently have two French Bulldogs of my own, so I’m very used to the fun, character and care that comes with having dogs! I’m caring, reliable and naturally comfortable around animals. I’d love to help with dog walks, home visits and giving your pets some company and attention while you’re away. I’m available all day on Mondays and Wednesdays. The rest of the week, I’m available before 10am, and I’m also available all day on Sundays. I always treat every home and pet with care, respect and kindness. When visiting your home, I’ll make sure your pet is comfortable, safe and well cared for, while respecting your home and following any instructions you leave for me. For home visits, I’m happy to use a key safe or another agreed method of access and will always make sure your home is secure when I leave. For dog walks, I’ll make sure your dog is safely secured before leaving the property and will follow your instructions around leads, routes and any specific needs. I’ll keep dogs under control throughout the walk and make sure they are safely returned home afterwards.
