About: After losing my beloved Shih Tzu, Teddy, who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years, I realised just how much joy a dog brings to a home. Dog sitting has been a lovely way to share the love I had for Teddy with other dogs while giving them a safe, happy home away from home. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality and individual needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing, or is more of a couch potato (I’m happy with either! 😂), I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re having a great time. I work part-time and mostly from home, which means I’m available to give your dog plenty of attention, walks, and playtime especially throughout the day. My home is friendly and lively, and I ensure every dog feels safe and cared for while their owners are away. I’m flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Your dogs safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully walled garden and a dog flap, so dogs can safely enjoy outdoor play whenever they like. I work mostly from home, so your dog will have plenty of companionship throughout the day. There is almost always someone at home, ensuring your pet is never left alone for long. My home is friendly, calm and designed to make dogs feel secure and happy.
About: My autistic son LOVES animals and so they have always played an important role in our home. Over the years we have owned and cared for 2 dogs, 7 cats, 2 guinea pigs a hamster, and a goldfish as well as the pets of family friends that we also care for. I have completed 'Dogs for Good' Family Service Dog workshops, have experience with senior care (our Japanese Akita lived til nearly 14 yrs old), have had our Cavapoo since puppy and have raised a litter of 5 kittens from birth. I home educate my son and as such we spend a lot of our time at home. We love nothing more than hanging out, snuggling with our cats and dog on the sofa during down time, playing with them in our garden and going for walks through the woods near our house. I have a large 20 sqm fenced garden which your fur babies would have full access to. I live on a quiet cul-de-sac with a recreation ground and woodland within a couple of minutes walk. I can accommodate a crate if your dog is crate trained.
About: I've grown up surrounded by animals of different kinds, and have had our own family dog for 11 years now, and a new edition to the family just over 2years ago now. Having lost my last doggie after 12 years. I regularly look after family and friends furbabies when needed. My boys are friendly and love other dogs company, however, my youngest is a little nervous around new people and big boisterous dogs so I wouldnt be able to accommodate this unfortunately. He is very playful with dogs of his own size or a little bigger and your baby is guaranteed to be exhausted by the end of the day with him around! I'm currently at home full time so am flexible to care for your babies most days and evenings and would be happy to drop them home locally if you were unable to pick them up at the end of their stay. I have a fenced garden with a lockable side gate and 2 friendly dogs who can keep your furbaby entertained in between walks. I can facilitate seperate areas at dinner time if there are any special dietry concerns and have plenty of beds or the sofa to choose from if they want to nap. I have several large open spaces within walking distance for long or short walks and can offer cuddles and kisses all day long at no extra cost. I have no rules unless specified by you. My home is their home and they will be treated like my family.
“Thank you so much Gabriela! Fiadh clearly had a lovely day with you. Thank you for taking such good care of her. It’s always nerve wracking leaving our fur babies with new people but I needn’t have worried. It was lovely to receive the photo and video updates - seeing Fi playing in the garden, having her naps and making new doggy friends. We will be back!”

“Had the best experience with Nadene. She looked after my 5 month puppy for the day and I would definitely use her services in the future. Also sent me pics and kept me updated. Thanks Nadene!”

“Olive had a wonderful stay with Patricia’s partner George who accommodated her last minute! He was kind, warm and caring and I know Olive was in great hands. We would absolutely book with them again. Thanks for taking such good care of our pup :)”

“Carol is so lovely, I can tell Cooper really enjoyed himself by all the update pictures I received throughout the day. It’s such a great feeling to know your little fur baby is being well looked after in your absense. Will definitely be using Carol again!”

“Christie is a friendly easy going dog lover. Our frenchie Lily loves going to stay, jumping out of the car and running to the door. She’s great mates with Dolly, eats all her dinner whilst there, a true sign she happy. This is a great home from home for our pampered pooch.”

About: I am confident with dogs, as I’ve grown up with small dogs and then Weimaraners and now I am often with my partner’s Working Cocker Spaniel with and without my children. I did used to help care for a Pointer a few years ago on Borrow My Doggy whilst the owner worked a couple of days a week. I would walk the dog and then the dog would come back with me for some company. Not sure how many years to put as ‘years of experience.’ With borrow my doggy I would say a year and longer with a family Dog and now my partner’s dog. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work around my family commitments, meaning I can offer dog walking, day care and overnight stays during both weekdays and weekends. Caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so I make sure every pet receives plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection and one-to-one attention while they’re with me. I am based between Wotton, Surrey and Sevenoaks. In Wotton there is a large fenced grass garden and our friendly female Working Cocker Spaniel lives here. In Sevenoaks - there is a small paved garden that is fenced.
“Cristina is very friendly and reliable. We knew immediately that she would be the perfect fit for my fur baby. I was able to relax knowing that Yoshi was in very good hand.”

“Jessica and her family were very accommodating. They took good care of Cooper, with a lunchtime run and an evening walk plus lots of cuddles! Jessica was also very easy going and good at communicating! Would recommend her!”

About: A lifelong animal lover, I grew up surrounded by dogs and have cared for my own pets for over 20 years. With flexible hours, I’m available all day to provide your dog attentive care, companionship, and a safe, happy home while you’re away. Thanks to my flexible working hours, I’m available every day throughout the week and free every weekend to care for your pup. As a mum of two, I have two school runs daily, so your dog will only be alone for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon—never left lonely for long. In my home, pets are treated like family. I provide plenty of love, attention, and gentle care throughout the day, including toilet breaks every two hours. Your dog will enjoy companionship from my two friendly cats and animal-loving children, so they’ll never be alone. We have a fenced garden and a gated, private woods just a two-minute walk away, offering plenty of safe outdoor space and stimulation to keep your dog happy and active.
“Alex's home provides a lovely setting for dogs. I felt reassured that he was going to have a lovely time there, and he sent photos of my dog and kept me up to date with how their day was going.”

“Scotch had a fun and relaxed time at Samantha’s. Hugo and Chester were absolutely wonderful companions. We really appreciate the care, attention and updates we received. Would highly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

About: I am new to Rover however, as a Dachshund owner myself and having had and looked after dogs my whole life, I will provide your pet a safe, warm and loving home whilst you are away. I only accept one Dachshund at a time. I will only have one Dachshund at a time so your pet will have my full care and attention alongside my own pet. I provide day boarding or cover for holidays. I have one miniature Dachshund called Rosie so your pet will always have a gentle play mate to have fun with. I will always try to match your home routine eg breakfast time, length of walks, favourite treats etc so that your sausage will settle and feel at home. I am within a mile of a reputable vet if any medication is needed. A meet and greet is welcomed before you decide to commit to a booking with me. I have a secure fenced large garden and plenty of beautiful countryside on hand if your pet would like additional walks. My house is single storey and there are no areas that your pet is not welcome…even on the couch! I have plenty of toys and bedding but I’m happy for you to bring along whatever you need for your pet to make them feel at home. If required I send pictures and updates whilst you are away so you can relax and enjoy yourself knowing that your pet is having a wonderful time too!!
“Hugo had an amazing day care with Reya. We very quickly received many pictures of him settling in, enjoying play time, walks and cuddles, all followed up with a lovely compilation of his day care. This was a test in preparation for a short boarding period, and we are now very reassured to go ahead. Thank you.”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences – Sevenoaks
Emma and Genc have looked after our dog multiple times now, and we are so happy to have found them. Our dog is getting happier and happier going there and always comes home relaxed and chilled. Emma’s communication is excellent, always replying promptly and kindly sharing regular updates on what our dog is up to. Can’t recommend them enough!

Ana was brilliant. She started with a house sit so Cosmo could settle in comfortably before transitioning him to her place just down the road. She sent a care form in advance covering feeding, walking, commands and tricks, which gave me real confidence ahead of the stay. Throughout, her communication was prompt and reassuring, with regular updates and photos. Cosmo got plenty of fuss and was clearly well looked after. Trustworthy and professional. I’ll absolutely be booking again.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
