“Totally lovely lady, Millie is a very anxious girl and hates being separated from me but she warmed to Rebecca after a few minutes.. she enjoyed her walks and cuddles and fell asleep when we got home. Will definitely be using this lady again. She sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. I was so thankful she was so kind. Thank you so much”

“Joanna is wonderful and takes such good care of Daisy. Daisy is really enjoying her daycations, and she and Fuet are slowly becoming firm friends. Look forward to more walkies and cuddles on the sofa soon.”

About: Welcome! I am an experienced dog walker, sitter and boarder. I have looked after dogs with a range of needs including medical and nutritional. I have a back garden and access to two large parks in the area. I am caring, patient and professional. Speak soon! I am available most days and only work a couple of evenings a week. My husband works from home - so in the event I am at work, he is able to look after the animals also. He is experienced in pet sitting too and you will be able to meet him in a meet and greet. I treat them like a family member and I am intuitive to their needs. I will make sure they have lots of stimulation, affection (if wanted!), time to relax and exercise.
About: My partner and I grew up with dogs, cats and other pets and I have had animals around all my life. We are trusted by friends, family and Rover contacts to care for their pets covering a wide range of personalities, routines, and needs. Our experience includes all aspects of care such as feeding, grooming, administering medications, exercising, and providing calm support through illness or recovery and I am passionate about the wellbeing of the animal. We recently had to say goodbye to our own gorgeous dog who had a chronic heart condition. This meant regular medications and close monitoring as well as ensuring she remained physically and mentally stimulated without causing strain. I’m patient, observant, and reliable, and take time to understand each pet’s individual routine so they feel safe, settled, and well cared for. Whilst we are not ready to commit to another dog of our own we enjoy welcoming and reassuringly caring for your furry companion. I work from home most days, so I’m around throughout the day to provide company, care, and walks tailored to each pet’s energy level and needs. To ensure pets aren’t left alone for extended periods, I don’t accept bookings on days when I’m required to be in the office unless we can agree a drop-in whilst I am out. On available weekends, I offer boarding in a calm, home-from-home environment. My calendar shows when I’m generally available, but please feel free to get in touch if a date appears unavailable — there may be some flexibility. We have a private garden for regular toilet breaks. Although this is not fenced off we would make sure your fur-baby is safe. We also have several walks nearby. If allowed in your home, we are comfortable to have pets on the furniture.
“I booked a 2-day doggy day care for our pug, Cleo, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Isis was absolutely lovely – really friendly, super flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, and clearly a big dog lover. Cleo looked completely relaxed in all the updates we got. They sent through some really nice pictures too – it was great to see her looking happy and chilled ie asleep and snoring. Would definitely book again. Thanks”

About: What started as simple passion has grown into several years of dedicated dog care, during which I’ve worked with many different pups—each with their own personality and needs. I’m also a proud rescuer of a dog who wasn’t given much of a chance, and that journey taught me even more about patience, trust, and how the right approach can completely change a dog’s life. I truly believe there are no bad dogs. As a home educator, caring for dogs fits perfectly into our lifestyle. My 14-year-old daughter is very much on board, and together we give each dog plenty of attention, love, and gentle structure throughout the day. Your dog will never be left feeling bored, anxious, or ignored—they become part of our little family. When you’re away, we provide cuddles, calm reassurance, playtime, fun walks, and all the one-on-one care your pup needs to feel safe, happy, and content. With us, your dog is in devoted, loving hands and will be wagging with joy until you return! 🐶💛 Pet care is a natural part of my daily rhythm. As a passionate dog lover, I make sure each dog in my care gets everything they need—three walks a day, plenty of cuddles, playtime, and lots of attention. I treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved throughout their stay. Safety and trust are at the heart of everything I do. If your dog is closely bonded with you and might try to escape, I kindly ask that they wear a tracker—just as a precaution. Dogs are incredibly clever, and while I always provide a secure and calm environment, it’s important to be one step ahead. We spend our days surrounded by nature—fields, woods, and meadows—far from traffic and noise. I'm not a town girl; I believe the countryside offers the perfect setting for dogs to roam, sniff, and feel at peace. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.
About: I am new to Rover however, as a Dachshund owner myself and having had and looked after dogs my whole life, I will provide your pet a safe, warm and loving home whilst you are away. I only accept one Dachshund at a time. I will only have one Dachshund at a time so your pet will have my full care and attention alongside my own pet. I provide day boarding or cover for holidays. I have one miniature Dachshund called Rosie so your pet will always have a gentle play mate to have fun with. I will always try to match your home routine eg breakfast time, length of walks, favourite treats etc so that your sausage will settle and feel at home. I am within a mile of a reputable vet if any medication is needed. A meet and greet is welcomed before you decide to commit to a booking with me. I have a secure fenced large garden and plenty of beautiful countryside on hand if your pet would like additional walks. My house is single storey and there are no areas that your pet is not welcome…even on the couch! I have plenty of toys and bedding but I’m happy for you to bring along whatever you need for your pet to make them feel at home. If required I send pictures and updates whilst you are away so you can relax and enjoy yourself knowing that your pet is having a wonderful time too!!
“Jamie and Liv were great, we did a meet up the day before and they sent updates throughout the day. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to other dog owners! 😊”

“Francesca is a wonderful pet-sitter! Milo loved her and I think was a bit disappointed when it was time to come home. She clearly loves dogs and the work she does. Goes on long walks with the pooches, extending treats along the way. All fun and games with Francesca! Highly recommend!”

About: I have my own dog, Truffle, who is nearly four. Prior to that I dog sat for friends and on Rover for several years. I’ve looked after dogs of all age and sizes. I also grew up with cats and have a cat (Clarence). I am looking to get out the house more as I work from home most of the time and only moved to Tunbridge wells last year - typically I wouldn’t bring truffle as she doesn’t always get on with new dogs but perhaps with the right ones I could also be available to take them on our lunch walk. Truff has had some behaviour issues with barrier reactivity that we’ve been working on so I definitely understand how to adapt to different dogs needs and have become quite adept at reading their body language. Please message - I’m happy to share any additional info and to be flexible around your needs (although my lunch walk is reserved for Truff so ideally would be mornings and evenings to start and then happy to introduce lunch for the right match) :) I am mostly looking to do walks and drop ins which I would do without truffle but also open to doggy day care for calm dogs as truffle usually adapts pretty well when she learns that another dog isn’t a threat (we would keep Clarence seperate and truffle can get on with most dogs usually smaller ones) I work from home (except for two days each month). We usually go for our walks between 11-1300. We go for an average of 45 mins with a mixture of sniffs, training and playing. I would be able to Come before 9 or after 5 to take your pupper out for similar adventures or to drop in and give attention and anything they need. I am very neat and tidy and would treat your home as if it were my own just before visitors are arriving (if you knew me you’d understand this is the highest standard!). I am also a strong communicator and always ensure the plan is clear
“Ana was the first person to look after our 4-month-old puppy, and he clearly had a wonderful time. Ana sent me regular photos/updates, and when I came to collect our puppy he was in no rush to go--he was having a lovely time with Ana and her dog! I am looking forward to booking Ana again and I know my puppy is too.”

“Liam is such a fantastic sitter! He really understands that each dog is one of a kind and loves them for it! He kept me updated with pictures and videos and it seems like Frankie had a lovely time and was well cared for. He took Frankie’s needs in to account and because of that I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“Lovely sitter. Very chilled, accommodating and friendly. Rosie took great care of cooper and he loved playing with her two dogs in the local fields. Will definitely be using Rosie again! :-)”

“Olivia looked after our dog Molly for us for the day at relatively short notice when we had to be out of town. She was very helpful and responsive, and Molly clearly had a great time staying with her. We would recommend her unreservedly and will no doubt book with her again.”

About: I’ve always had dogs in the family and longed for one of my own! As soon as we could, we left London to get a house in the country so we could get our own puppy! Our Ruby has the best temperament and is always looking for a furry friend to play with! As she’s such a gentle soul, she good with dogs of all sizes and ages! I currently work from home on weekdays except Tuesdays (when I have to be in the office). My hours are flexible and we have Knights Wood 5 minutes round the corner. This gives me plenty of time to dedicate to watching and playing with pups as well as giving them a good walk as often as they need it! We walk our Ruby for up to 3 hours everyday. I have a medium sized enclosed back garden, but Knights Wood round the corner which is great for walks. Inside the home, like our Ruby, all furry visitors will be welcome on the furniture and all round the house!

“Jen and her family are stars! Ottie is clearly looked after so well, as if she's Jen's own dog. You can tell ottie feels safe and relaxed from how she pulls up Jen's road whenever we walk past! Thank you Jen!”

“Sarah looked after Rain for the first time yesterday and he had such a lovely day. She was really friendly, took the time to understand his routine beforehand, and it’s clear she’s great with dogs as he warmed to her straight away. She kept us updated with a photo during the day (she asked how many photos we’d like to see), and when we picked him up he was happy, relaxed and had clearly had a brilliant time. It was also lovely knowing he’d been out walking on the Common, one of his favourite places. We’ve already booked Rain in for a week with Sarah while we’re on holiday and feel really confident he’ll be in great hands. We’d happily recommend her!!”

This was Fiadh’s first stay with Ellie Victoria and safe to say that we will not hesitate to book again. Communication has been brilliant - from the meet and greet to messages and photos on the day. Fiadh has come home very happy and it’s clear she’s been well looked after. Thank you Ellie.

Celia looked after my 2-year-old cockapoo for the day. She responded to messages on Rover promptly, sent a photo and update during the day, which was reassuring. She took him out for a nice long walk to the town centre and park and played with him in her flat. I would recommend Celia for doggy daycare and be happy to book her again in the future. Thank you Celia for looking after Oatchi so well 🙂🐩

Always happy to leave Milo with Georgia. As usual he pulled me up the driveway and started to settle in immediately. The at-home pic says it all. We were delayed 30 mins+ on the way back due to a crash on A2 but Georgia was not worried and took the delay all in her stride. Thanks Georgia. Milo’s obviously very happy staying with you!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
