Samara was very quick to reply to queries prior to the booking and was very friendly and engaging during the initial visit. She also provided regular updates during the time we were away. My cats were happy and appeared relaxed on my return. They had obviously been very well cared for and given lots of love and attention. I would certainly not hesitate to book Samara again! Helen B

About: I have had cats guineapigs. Rabbits. Gerbils and even pet snails in my care. And the odd reptile too! All loved, cared for equally each visit is special! The puppy and dog drop in visits are ideal for puppies that are too young to go out. Or dogs that are struggling to walk and just need a toilet break and a fuss. Pet care is my focus. So your pets will get 100% attention from me. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon! Thank you! I don't care for in my home. I prefer to do drop in visits to the pets home where they may feel more comfortable and settled. Happy pets!

About: Having worked in a vets for many years, and having grown up around dogs, Matt and I are a safe pair of hands. Most recently, we lived with my flatmates husky, and therefore spent alot of time walking, socialising and looking after him. Matt and I both work full time, but generally 3-4 days from home. We love walking, and would love to add your dog into our routine. We would be looking for a dog in the Tonbridge area. We have a fenced garden with side access, and also plenty of space inside for the dog to make the house their home. We can also easily seal off rooms if required.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs that range from cocker spaniels to labradors for the past 3 years. My experience include house sitting and many muddy walks. I’ve looked after dogs with very different personalities whether that’s shy or friendly. I’m currently an online student, so dog sitting is the perfect thing to fit into my schedule. Apart from the gym of a morning I am able to be at home with the dog for most of the day. When it come to caring for a dog in their own home I will always follow what the owner has told me, my main aim as a dog sitting it to ensure that the dog isn’t being taken out of it usual routine and environment.

About: Having grown up with three cats—including an adopted rescue who required specialized care—I know firsthand how to build trust with sensitive pets and manage specific health or behavioral needs. I am also highly adaptable to multi-pet households, as I am often in a household with both a dog and a cat. Whether I am providing the structured patience and consistency needed for training young pets or the gentle, attentive pacing essential for senior care, I tailor my approach so your furry family members feel safe, secure, and loved while you are away. Having recently graduated from university, my schedule is completely open and highly flexible. This means pet care isn't just something I squeeze into a busy day—it is my primary focus. Whether your pets need midday walks, constant supervision and training consistency for a young pup, or frequent check-ins and relaxed pacing for a senior pet, I have the unrestricted time to match their exact routine. I exclusively provide care in your home, as I believe pets are most relaxed and confident in their own familiar environment. When visiting or staying at your house, my goal is to seamlessly replicate your pet’s daily routine while treating your home with the utmost respect.

About: I’ve dog and cat sat for as long as I can remember, a drop in to feed a neighbours cat or looking after a friend’s new puppy overnight. I love all animals and couldn’t be happier to take care of them! I work from home three days a week so can pop in or take dogs for a walk throughout the day on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m free before 8:30 and after 6pm. If available I could also do weekends! I have no animals myself so no problem bringing a pet to mine, also very contactable to pop by yours for a drop in or walk

About: I own a friendly cockapoo and have previously owned family dogs and cats all my life growing up. I have experience looking after many dogs, but especially cockapoos and puppies! I think it’s good for dogs to spend time with other dogs to get them used to them. I’m an affectionate lover of animals and would be happy to put proper care and time into looking after your dog. I’m female, aged 30 and currently working from home 3 days per week (my partner works from home the other 2 days) and i’m around most weekends so can be flexible for your schedules. I have plenty of good parks and walks around me so great for doggos - I like to keep it different each time to give them variety! Happy to drive and pick up dogs if you’re a bit further away. We have a ground floor 2 bed flat with a fenced garden. Whilst working from home, your pet won’t be left alone and I’m happy to put in time and care to ensure they have a great time! Our garden is fenced, has some grass and is perfect for toilet trips. We allow our dog to sit on sofas and furniture as we love cuddles but happy to flex to your requirements.

About: Home from home care for your dog. I have a friendly labradoodle called Rosie who is 6. I've had her since a puppy and trained her to be a well behaved disciplined doodle. I also regularly care for family & friends dogs, big and small. I am confident and experienced with handling dogs, whether this be as part of a group of dogs or those needing solo time. Rosie is happy to accompany me on walks but also happy to remain at home catching up on her R&R! We can provide home from home care for your dog. My wife and I are huge dog lovers and will care for your dog like one of our own. I have a flexible role so please see my availability for times I can care for your pet. My wife does shift work so between us we can ensure to be home to provide care for your dog. We have a secure house and garden to offer. If boarding your dog will need to be sociable as we have Rosie our labradoodle too. Rosie is vaccinated and spayed. We have plentiful space if your dog needs a crate in our home. We live near lots of open space to enjoy walks and play time too. Willing to do meet & greet of yourself and your dog if you would like.

About: Hi there fellow cat people! My name is Emily and I’m 28, my passions in life are animals (especially cats, art, music and books! I have 2 gorgeous black cats of my own, one is a 14 year old who I raised from the day they were born in our rabbit hutch and a 5 year old lock-down kitty. I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and have also volunteered a couple times at SCAR (animal rescue) in the cattery, and a wildlife conservation centre in Bali. So I have extensive experience with pets in general, but cats are my true love. My experience also highlights my passion for animal rights and fighting against animal cruelty, so I hope you can trust your animals will be in the best care.

About: I have had pets all my life from cats, tortoise, hamsters and dogs and often cared for friends’ pets. I treat every pet like family, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care whether it’s an energetic pup or a senior needing extra comfort. Pet care fits easily into my routine as I already care for my own cat daily and I look after my landlords dogs time to time. I finish work at 5pm, so I’m available most evenings, and I also have weekends off. Since I can work remotely twice a week, I’m flexible and able to give pets the time, attention, and care they need whenever you’re away I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe and loved while you’re away, my whole family is in spain so when I am going away I can only trust Sephi to closest people. In your home, I’ll always follow your routines closely whether it’s feeding times, playtime, or keeping litter trays fresh so your pet feels comfortable and secure.

About: Hello! I’m Lucy and I’m based in Hildenborough. I’m currently on maternity leave with my little girl, Hallie. We also have our own dog, Nino, who is nearly three and very much the centre of our world! In my free time, I love exercising and getting out on long country walks, so returning to dog sitting after really enjoying it during my Master’s degree in London felt like the perfect fit. I’ve always been a huge animal lover. I’ve had cats since I was two years old and have experience caring for cats with nervous temperaments, as well as those with medical conditions and additional care needs. More recently, my family have had a working Cocker Spaniel (pictured!), and my husband and I welcomed Nino into our family in 2023. Over the years I’ve looked after dogs for family, friends and Rover clients, caring for a wide range of breeds including Chihuahuas, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and one particularly lazy Alaskan Malamute called Hugo! I know how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pet. Whether they’re energetic, senior, nervous, or simply love plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they’re cared for as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Tonbridge pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tonbridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
