First time using this app and a cat sitter in general. Was sceptical at first, but I cannot fault Courtney, she did everything I asked and nothing phased her. My two cats have had all their needs met. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse myself, I would highly recommend Courtney to look after your pets, from my personal experience. Thank you!☺️

About: Hi, I’m Lily. I’ve had dogs all my life and currently have two of my own, Buzz and Lola. They’ve been with me for over 10 years, so they’ve quite literally watched me grow up. They’re family to me, and anyone who knows me knows I’m completely obsessed with them. Growing up around dogs has given me a real understanding of their different personalities, routines and needs. I’ve spent years caring for, walking and looking after dogs, and I love being around them. Earlier this year I took a job in London, and one thing I found really difficult was not always being around as much to walk my dogs. Luckily, I had family members that did this when I wasn’t there, but ultimately that’s what I enjoyed and I’m no longer working there and able to spend all my time with them. It made me realise how many owners are in exactly the same position. Sometimes work, holidays or simply life get in the way, and that’s completely okay. That’s why I decided to join Rover. I love being outdoors, I love spending time with dogs, and if I can help someone by giving their dog the walks, company and care they deserve while they’re busy, then that’s something I’d genuinely enjoy doing. Although I’m new to Rover, I’m reliable, caring and will treat every dog as if they were my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll always take the time to understand their routine, personality and anything that makes them feel comfortable and happy. I’ll also make sure you stay updated while you’re away, with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe and having a great time. Pet care is my main focus at the moment, which means I can dedicate my time to providing reliable, flexible care throughout the week. My schedule allows me to plan my days around the pets I’m looking after, whether that’s walks, home visits or overnight stays. I enjoy keeping dogs company, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise and care, and I always adapt my routine to suit their individual needs. I only provide care in your dog’s own home, as I believe they’re happiest and most comfortable in familiar surroundings. Before every booking, I like to arrange a meet and greet where I’ll bring a short form to go through your dog’s routine, feeding schedule, walks, any medical needs, favourite sleeping spots, house rules and anything else you’d like me to know. That way I can keep their routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe and well looked after.

About: Hi! My name is Lauren and (along with my partner) I absolutely love dogs 💗🐾 I've been around dogs of all breeds since I was young, and have been dogsitting for family and friends for over 10 years. I've looked after everything from Dobermans to Labradoodles! I also really enjoy pet training, and have taught many family dogs basic commands. I currently have my own lovely Dachshund, who absolutely loves the company of others doggies. 🥰 I work part time and my partner works from home, so there is almost always someone at the house! Our routine always includes some training, lots of playtime, time in the garden and walks when needed! We live next to a lovely park for nice long walks. I have a fenced, secure garden with lots of space for your furbaby to run around! I have a dog flap so they can easily come in and out of the garden without waiting for someone, but we often leave the back door open too. Dogs are allowed everywhere in our house, and we have lots of cozy beds around. We also have a crate and a metal pen, if your dog prefers a separate space for sleeping.

I was so worried about leaving Bella, who I would describe as a bit of nervous cat, fearing she would spend nearly 2 weeks under the bed (her safe place) she hides there when anyone comes to visit. Well I couldn’t be more wrong. Emily’s first visit, which was 3 hours after I left and Emily was Bella’s new best friend. In fact I think Bella is disappointed I’m home. Emily provided great reports and pictures, which kept my mind at ease. Communication was great. I highly recommend Emily and will happily book her again.

About: Hi, I’m Charly, a dedicated dog lover who knows that dogs are family, not just pets. I have over 20 years of experience pet sitting for friends and family, as well as 6 years fostering rescue dogs, helping them feel safe and settled while they waited for their forever homes. For the past year I’ve been walking dogs professionally, caring for a variety of breeds, ages and temperaments. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or a relaxed environment, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for. My home provides a calm, welcoming space for dogs, and I have a fully fenced garden with plenty of room for safe play and exercise. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, so I always aim to provide reliable care, regular updates, and a loving environment where your dog feels right at home. I am currently working as a professional dog walker and can make my schedule work around you and your family pets needs you ask you and I’ll plan I have a fully fenced garden, for morning play and evening zoomies. There are plenty of countryside walks with walking distance and even more a few minutes drive away for those that like to go for a small ride in the car.

About: Hey, I’m Madi! 👋🐾 I’m a caring, reliable, and passionate animal lover who treats every pet as if they were my own. I’ve grown up with dogs since I was three years old, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. For the past four months, I’ve been running my own dog walking business, which has given me experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve also owned my own rescue dog, Ruby, for the last six months. Through training and caring for a rescue, I’ve gained valuable experience with building trust, understanding canine behaviour, and providing patient, compassionate care tailored to each dog’s individual needs. My motivation for pet sitting comes from a genuine love for animals and wanting every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having someone calm and caring around, I’ll make sure they receive the attention and love they deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I’ll always care for them with kindness, patience, and plenty of affection. I’ll also keep you updated throughout their stay with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re having a wonderful time. 🐾 I’m currently working Full Time in London as a Facilities Coordinator Monday-Friday however i’m available Monday/Friday afternoons and All day Saturday&Sundays as well as bank holidays. I currently have two guinea pigs which I care for everyday. I would love a dog of my own but at the moment it wouldn’t fit into my busy work schedule. Im currently not accepting dog sitting in my home but i’m happy to come to your homes!

We really can't thank her enough for easy and effortless quick communications and readiness to be supportive and assisting us not just with our dogs. We were provided with photographs and everything we needed to know our pets were happy. We're so grateful and will certainly be using her in the future.

I booked Corinna for the first time for my cat Tiga who is 20, nearly 21 who needed special care whilst I went away on holiday. Tiga has to eat a special renal wet food diet and blood pressure tablets. We had a meet and greet before booking and I immediately felt like we were in safe hands. Corinna straight away met Tiga, asked lots of questions, made notes and covered everything so I felt that peace of mind when I went away. Whilst I was away I had regular twice daily updates and I loved the photos too. I really looked forward to that too. I would highly recommend and would love to book again. Thank you so much Corinna 😊

Jo has been brilliant with my two boys. Every day she took new toys round to give them some stimulation and play time, she brushed them and gave them the attention they like. When we got home she had left them a little goodie bags each, with a toy, a treat, some photos and a little figurine. It was very sweet. She left great notes every check in and uploaded a good selection of photos. I really felt like my boys were in good hands and that gave me a lot of reassurance that they were being well looked after.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Maidstone pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maidstone choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 84% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
