“A huge thank you to Grace for looking after our girlie so well. Could see from the pics that she was very relaxed with Grace and enjoying cuddles and fuss as always! Thank you for sending all those pics so reassuring to recieve them.”

“Lizzie was lovely when she came to us for a meet and greet and then came and did a pop in visit just as we asked. She is really nice and confident with our yappy terrier and we will use her again.”

About: I’ve had a dog since very young and always loved looking after my cocker spaniel who is now 12 years old. I have always been passionate about dogs as well as animals. I have looked after my relatives dogs before when they were on holiday, and have cat sitter twice with all responsibilities (in their own homes). Full flexibility except saturdays where I need to fit it around my job, so would need to be mornings ideally. I can walk or care for your dog whenever is best for you. I have had experience pet sitting in other people’s homes popping in to give lots of love and playing with their pets. As well as walking, I love giving pets the attention they deserve.
“Corinna was so lovely and communication with her was great. We have never used a dog sitter in our home before so i am so glad Corinna was our first experience. Gigi was so settled when we got home which we know means success! Loved the little watsapp updates to reassure us! Definitely recommend and will definitely be requesting her help again!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amanda was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t be happier with the care she gave our cat. Throughout our trip, she sent very detailed and thoughtful updates with lots of photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. We always knew how our cat was doing, and it was clear that Amanda genuinely cared and paid close attention. She was reliable, professional, and clearly has a real love for animals. We came home to a happy and relaxed cat, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. We highly recommend Amanda and would definitely book her again.”

“So incredibly happy to have booked with Courtney. I felt reassured whilst I was away and loved receiving updates and photos. Would definitely book with you again in the future. Thank you for looking after Skye 🥰🥰”

“I was so worried about leaving Bella, who I would describe as a bit of nervous cat, fearing she would spend nearly 2 weeks under the bed (her safe place) she hides there when anyone comes to visit. Well I couldn’t be more wrong. Emily’s first visit, which was 3 hours after I left and Emily was Bella’s new best friend. In fact I think Bella is disappointed I’m home. Emily provided great reports and pictures, which kept my mind at ease. Communication was great. I highly recommend Emily and will happily book her again.”

“Michael was so attentive with our cats while we were away on holiday. It is clear that he is a patient animal loving sitter who does the best for your pets always. We received updates every day with pictures of michael playing, feeding and cuddling with our cats. Michael also saved us when we forgot to take our bins out before we left! Absolutely fantastic service and would recommend to any one of my friends 🧡”

“Lani is great with our little kitten Leo. Nice calm personality to keep Leo at ease on the first meeting. Flexible and approachable with bookings. We have booked again with Lani.”

About: I have taken care of pets for many years as well as having my own. I understand that dogs and cats are not just pets but they are family too. I love to walk so walkies are great fun and snuggle time is just as important. I have also taken care of senior dogs and helped with medication and vet trips for support not just for the animals but for support for their parents too. I currently have a lot of free time although I don't currently drive I do have ways of getting to you. Early morning may be difficult if I am using public transport but again this may not always be the case. Depending on the owners requests I am very flexible and will work with pet parents to provide care and safety at all times. Routine and respect are key.

I’ve used Rover myself for many years too. I’ve loved my own dogs for well over 20 years and would love to extend this love, care, attention and protection to your fur babies too

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Maidstone
Jo has been brilliant with my two boys. Every day she took new toys round to give them some stimulation and play time, she brushed them and gave them the attention they like. When we got home she had left them a little goodie bags each, with a toy, a treat, some photos and a little figurine. It was very sweet. She left great notes every check in and uploaded a good selection of photos. I really felt like my boys were in good hands and that gave me a lot of reassurance that they were being well looked after.

AMAZING!! We had the best experience we could ask for this was our fist time leaving our cats with a sitter we had one 18 year old cat and two outside cats we rescued she followed are complicated instructions perfectly and bonded with the cats we felt so relaxed while away and wasn’t anxious at all we will definitely be rebooking every time we need a sitter 5 stars and would be happy to recommend and give references 💛
10/10! From the communication, the updates, the pictures and videos, the consistency with timings. She is the best sitter you could have. We went away for 3 weeks and had to leave our little boy alone. She completely eased our thoughts and bonded so well with him and took such good care of him. Honestly would recommend to everyone 🤍
Corinna looked after our two very shy cats over Christmas while we were away. She was very professional and gave us a sense that our cats would be well looked after from our first meeting. When it came to the visits she was always on time and we got great updates and photos through the app. It was extremely reassuring to hear from Corinna every day, as it can stressful being away from your pets - but we knew they were in good hands. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive carer. Thank you Corinna !

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. 100% reliable and I had no doubts that I was leaving my 🐈 in the most capable of hands. Provided regular updates whilst we were away and there were no complaints from 🐈. I can go away more often knowing I have nothing to worry about when it comes to someone looking after 🐈

Louise is a lovely young lady, very friendly and reliable. She kept me up to date with Sookie via messages and photos whilst we were away for a week. I have no hesitation in recommending Louise and will definitely wish her to look after Sookie again when we go away ♥️

We received updates every day with pictures of michael playing, feeding and cuddling with our cats. Michael also saved us when we forgot to take our bins out before we left! If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 76% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
