“First time using this app and a cat sitter in general. Was sceptical at first, but I cannot fault Courtney, she did everything I asked and nothing phased her. My two cats have had all their needs met. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse myself, I would highly recommend Courtney to look after your pets, from my personal experience. Thank you!☺️”

“I was so worried about leaving Bella, who I would describe as a bit of nervous cat, fearing she would spend nearly 2 weeks under the bed (her safe place) she hides there when anyone comes to visit. Well I couldn’t be more wrong. Emily’s first visit, which was 3 hours after I left and Emily was Bella’s new best friend. In fact I think Bella is disappointed I’m home. Emily provided great reports and pictures, which kept my mind at ease. Communication was great. I highly recommend Emily and will happily book her again.”

“Hollie has been absolutely fantastic. She single handedly saved our holiday and on multiple occasions filled in gaps that were crucial to sustaining it. We really can't thank her enough for easy and effortless quick communications and readiness to be supportive and assisting us not just with our dogs. We were provided with photographs and everything we needed to know our pets were happy. We're so grateful and will certainly be using her in the future.”

I booked Corinna for the first time for my cat Tiga who is 20, nearly 21 who needed special care whilst I went away on holiday. Tiga has to eat a special renal wet food diet and blood pressure tablets. We had a meet and greet before booking and I immediately felt like we were in safe hands. Corinna straight away met Tiga, asked lots of questions, made notes and covered everything so I felt that peace of mind when I went away. Whilst I was away I had regular twice daily updates and I loved the photos too. I really looked forward to that too. I would highly recommend and would love to book again. Thank you so much Corinna 😊

Lizzy looked after our cats last week and did a fantastic job. She clearly spent plenty of time with them, making sure they had company as well as being fed and cared for. We really appreciated the regular updates and all the photos she sent, which gave us peace of mind that they were happy and well looked after while we were away.

Erin is 100% a true cat lover, and it shows in the way she cares for cats. She understands their nature and takes the best approach to make them feel comfortable. She accepted my booking at very short notice, which was really helpful. Erin kept me updated every day with messages and photos of my boy. I am grateful for the attention she showed him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Erin to anyone looking for someone who will treat their cat like one of her own.

Jo has been brilliant with my two boys. Every day she took new toys round to give them some stimulation and play time, she brushed them and gave them the attention they like. When we got home she had left them a little goodie bags each, with a toy, a treat, some photos and a little figurine. It was very sweet. She left great notes every check in and uploaded a good selection of photos. I really felt like my boys were in good hands and that gave me a lot of reassurance that they were being well looked after.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amanda was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t be happier with the care she gave our cat. Throughout our trip, she sent very detailed and thoughtful updates with lots of photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. We always knew how our cat was doing, and it was clear that Amanda genuinely cared and paid close attention. She was reliable, professional, and clearly has a real love for animals. We came home to a happy and relaxed cat, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. We highly recommend Amanda and would definitely book her again.

AMAZING!! We had the best experience we could ask for this was our fist time leaving our cats with a sitter we had one 18 year old cat and two outside cats we rescued she followed are complicated instructions perfectly and bonded with the cats we felt so relaxed while away and wasn’t anxious at all we will definitely be rebooking every time we need a sitter 5 stars and would be happy to recommend and give references 💛
10/10! From the communication, the updates, the pictures and videos, the consistency with timings. She is the best sitter you could have. We went away for 3 weeks and had to leave our little boy alone. She completely eased our thoughts and bonded so well with him and took such good care of him. Honestly would recommend to everyone 🤍
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. 100% reliable and I had no doubts that I was leaving my 🐈 in the most capable of hands. Provided regular updates whilst we were away and there were no complaints from 🐈. I can go away more often knowing I have nothing to worry about when it comes to someone looking after 🐈

Louise is a lovely young lady, very friendly and reliable. She kept me up to date with Sookie via messages and photos whilst we were away for a week. I have no hesitation in recommending Louise and will definitely wish her to look after Sookie again when we go away ♥️

Michael was so attentive with our cats while we were away on holiday. It is clear that he is a patient animal loving sitter who does the best for your pets always. We received updates every day with pictures of michael playing, feeding and cuddling with our cats. Michael also saved us when we forgot to take our bins out before we left! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
