“I left our kitten for the first time, with Stacey popping in for visits during the time. We have to say from the pictures that our little girl was having a blast, seemed very relaxed which was fantastic and meant we could enjoy our time away knowing that our girlie was being well looked after. A huge thank you to you Stacey”

“Michael is great with animals. He has looked after my staffie x many times and she absolutely loves him. Always happy to see him, he takes her on lovely long walks, to see all her favourite rabbit chasing or rope swing spots. I know that I can trust him to look after her and she has the best holiday ever. And I would highly recommend him.”

14. Darshinni R.
About: I have two puppies and have had rescues previously; I have cared for a range of dog personalities and temperaments. I have experience training several breeds of dogs in key commands such as sit, wait, stay, bark on command to let us know they need to go out for toilet. I will give the same amount of attention and care to your dogs as I would to mine. If you prefer to drop off this can be arranged. I have a decently large garden for their play time, two puppies with great temperament, no children, & smoke free home. I am home Monday and Friday and I am potentially available on weekends. It fits perfectly with my current routine and I am well equipped and stocked to look after younger dogs. I have a good sized garden for my two puppies, Winter a Great Pyrenees who is 6 months and Little Rex a Miniature Dachshund they both have kind and calm temperaments. They both walk different times and varying distances in the day. I have parks and nature walks within 15 minutes of walking or less. I have plenty of toys which my puppies do not mind sharing, and a selection of enrichment activities to keep your Dogs happy.

15. Joanne L.
“Very pleased that I was introduced to Jo for dog sitting. She shows great care and is highly trust worthy. Great communication before and during and I feel completely at ease leaving our pets in her care.”

16. Hollie J.

“Hollie has been absolutely fantastic. She single handedly saved our holiday and on multiple occasions filled in gaps that were crucial to sustaining it. We really can't thank her enough for easy and effortless quick communications and readiness to be supportive and assisting us not just with our dogs. We were provided with photographs and everything we needed to know our pets were happy. We're so grateful and will certainly be using her in the future.”

17. Natalie H.

She puts the pet first and has great communication throughout. I would deffo recommend Natalie to look after your pets if you are looking for a worry free experience!”

About: We decided to become sitters after successfully settling two stray rescue dogs from the other side of the world, one extremely nervous, one with 3 legs. This comes after a lifetime of having dogs and cats in the family, and looking after or visiting neighbours dogs over the past few years. As a couple in our 40s we can approach your pets needs maturely and pro-actively, while also being a fun visitor or sitter for them. We have had a mixture of dogs in the family forever, particularly over the last ten years or so, sharing everything from shitzhu's to jugs and old hunting dogs with our families, as well as being lucky enough to spend time professionally working with behaviourists and trainers even before rescuing our pair. We're confident we can tune into the needs of a pampered princess, or a nervous rescue, but most importantly are here to give your dog the environment you need them to have. Having also had two cats from kittens all the way through their lives, we can visit and take care of indoor and outdoor cats, or just pop in to feed them. For both dogs and cats we are extremely security conscious when entering and leaving homes, so that no one sneaks out. We decided to take our two dogs in during 2022 after looking after neighbours' dogs informally, but over periods of days if necessary. Life changes meant we were also able to work from home full times, confidently giving them our full attention. This also means we are able to look after other dogs too! Because our two came so far, into such an alien environment, there was a good period of settling and learning for everyone, so we ask anyone to never be shy about bringing us lists of do's and don'ts for your pets! We were so happy to be able to finally get our own pets, but often need to find a sitter last minute, which is where Rover is so helpful, and would love to help others who want to keep being busy, but also be confident that their dogs are happy. Our nervous dog has gained so much confidence by meeting sitters from Rover, and it would be great to pass that on (the 3 legged one will accept anyone that might give her food). We can do home stays, where one of us visits and looks after your dogs, or drop ins and walks, which is a Rover service we regularly use ourselves. Hopefully we can share our experiences, as well as what our own dogs have taught us, and help you manage your and your pet's life a bit more easily. Feel free to contact us to pop round for a meet and greet with your pet before booking. My wife, Claire, and I both work from home, and are able to attend to almost any needs or bookings. Happy to drop in locally or come and take care of your pets. Even with our own dogs' needs, we can provide assistance without disrupting them. We encourage owners to suggest items that their pet will feel comfortable and safe with, as we would with our dogs. We also focus on minimising disruption to their schedule and expectations, so we can follow your set schedules, from walk times to exactly where their food bowl needs to be put. Our dogs are always walked on a lead, and that would be the case with yours. We are extremely keen on safety and security of pets and other animals when out and about. We are also happy to abide by any key words or instructions you may use, be it for discipline or training, and can be as giving or strict with treats as desired! Our youngest dog has nervous quirks, and takes a long time to trust people and animals in her space. She doesn't like new people offering hands to sniff, or being at her level. She wants to explore by herself. We would similarly follow your lead. Each dog is different, with a different story, and we will work with them to your instruction.

19. Victoria P.
“I have seen Victoria work with dogs for many years now. And she has a natural affinity with all types of dogs. Her own pup Bolt is the most beautifully natured, polite and well behaved dog! I would leave my cherished Girl with her anytime knowing 100% she is in safe and capable hands.”

20. Jade C.

“Jade was really friendly and communicative. She was quick to respond and was happy to drop in and look after our boy. She even washed up his bowl. Both Darwin and his parents are very happy with the service provided!”
