“We were very happy with the care provided by Faith. She was always on time, sent updates and our cat was very well cared for. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Faith again and would recommend her.”

“Terry is certainly an animal lover as my two dogs took to him straight away. Terry is very accommodating and takes loads of photos of the dogs while he visit and is very responsive. I would definitely recommend.”

“I'm very happy I found Lesley to look after my Princess Jazz when I'm away. Jazzy lost her brother and she's grieving, she doesn't like visitors much but Lesley was able to feed her from her hand the first time they met. I was amazed.”

About: Hi. I’m keris. I have been an animal lover all my life. I studied animal care at college and have my own horse and 4 cats. Three are Maine coons. I used to dog sit 4 poodles regularly and I cat sit for 4 cats often too. I’m responsible, tidy and reliable. I work full time, Monday-Friday. 8-4:30 in Sidcup, because of my work I am DBS checked. I am also happy to cover this area. My schedule works better with cats sitting weekdays. And dogs over Friday-Sunday. If local to Sidcup I can pop in on my lunch times Monday-Friday. Our 4 cats get fed twice a day. Three are on raw. And one is on regular cat food. We also check the litter tray twice a day and remove any poo and wee with a full clean once a week. We have a water fountain for ours cats. Unfortunately my rescue isn’t that great with new cats so I am unable to offer home boarding.
About: With over a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, I bring passion, patience, and genuine love for animals to every visit. From playful walks and cuddles to meal times and cozy snuggles, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s housesitting for friends, family, or through trusted pet services, I’ve built a reputation as a responsible, reliable, and attentive caregiver who truly understands the unique personality and needs of each animal. Your pet’s happiness and safety are my top priority. I’ll keep tails wagging, purrs flowing, and owners at ease knowing their furry friends are in caring, capable hands. I'm self-employed running my own coaching business from home and have full flexibility and autonomy of my diary. I can work remotely from anywhere and currently, only have a handful of regular, commited client hours to cater for. This flexibility means I can be on hand to deliver attentive, dedicated time, focus and care to your pets. I love caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, creating a safe, calm, and happy environment where they feel completely at ease. I always respect each pet’s space and boundaries, paying close attention to their body language so I can respond to their unique personalities, knowing whether they’re in the mood for play, cuddles, or some quiet time. I stick to their usual routines for feeding, walks, and enrichment for minimum disruption to them and helping them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. From keeping their home safe and tidy to giving them gentle attention and companionship, my goal is to build trust and make every pet feel loved, happy, and cared for.

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs since I was little. I have personally owned small - medium dogs, whilst also caring for my partners large/giant dogs. I have trained puppies basic skills and recall. I have also looked after cats for family members previously. I have a love for all animals, big or small and would love to provide a service your pet requires. I currently work shift patterns so each week my availability will change. However, with regular time off, I am able to accommodate your pets needs. I have a fenced, large read garden to accommodate any and all of your pets needs. I do not currently have any pets within the home. I do not have any children within the home and only live with my partner.
About: I have been around and taken care of dogs since I was 6. Family and friends have often relied on me to take care of their dogs. I myself am a dog owner and know how much they mean to us. I am currently not doing any other work and have plenty of time to take care of your dogs. I am basically free any time and day. I have a fenced back yard with good space, as well as I have a friendly puppy my self which can make company to your dog, which if needed I can also keep apart. Large parks and fields at walking distance when I can also go for a walk with your dog.
About: I've grown up with dogs, my dog as a teen was my best friend. We went everywhere together and she was always by my side, so I truly know how much a dog becomes part of a family and how much they mean to you. I've also had multiple rescue cats over 20 years, my current cat i found at 6 weeks old and hes now 10. Im always nervous to leave him so completely understand if you are too. 4 years ago I started looking after other people's dogs and soon gained regular dog sitting. I also took on 2 dogs as a temporary foster care while the owner was unwell. Taking care of dogs isn't just a job, it's a passion. At the moment im at home so can provide care for your pets majority of the day. Unfortunately due to having an elderly cat i can't accommodate any animals in my own home, but im more than happy to pet sit in the pets own home. I also have 2 children who loves animals just as much as i do, they've been taught how to take care of animals and know how to respect an animals boundaries. I currently have availability between 9 and 2 on weekdays without my children but if your pets are good with kids then these hours can be extended later and during weekends. My children absolutely adore animals and know how to care for them. Unfortunately due to having an elderly cat, I can't accept dogs into my home. I will follow any routine that your pet needs in your home, follow any guidance on how your dog is walked, personalities, etc. And I will take care of them just like I would my own.

“I needed to go away at short notice to deal with a family emergency, and it was very reassuring to have Jason look after my cat as my cat already knew and liked him from a previous cat sitting period. I was getting my cat used to raw food and Jason was great at getting him to stick to that while I was away, and kept me updated regularly. ”
About: I have over five and a half years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs, both in my own home and in owners’ homes. I come from a strong rescue background; we cared for over 30 cats at a time, rehomed cats internationally, and regularly rescued cats from the streets. For more than two years, I personally managed to feed almost 50–60 stray cats every evening, ensuring food, clean water, hygiene, and regular monitoring of their health and wellbeing with a friend's help, who was providing food. This taught me responsibility, consistency, and deep compassion for animals. I have also provided trusted in-home pet sitting for many families. Owners regularly chose me when travelling because they wanted their pets to stay comfortable in their own environment. I stayed in their homes for short and long periods, caring for cats and dogs, following routines, administering food, walking dogs, playing, and providing companionship. I always send daily photo and video updates so owners feel reassured and connected. I understand how emotionally difficult it can be to leave a pet behind, and I take that trust very seriously. I am calm, patient, observant, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. My goal is to give pets love, safety, routine, and comfort, and to give owners complete peace of mind. I’m a university student with morning classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I’m free most evenings and other days, flexible, reliable, and always prioritise pets’ safety. I had many cats back home and took care of the dogs of my neighbors and people from social media. I follow each pet’s routine exactly, learn their food, walks, and habits beforehand, arrive on time, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
About: I've been around animals my whole life and currently share my home with my own Labrador and Cavapoo, so I understand first-hand what different breeds and sizes need day to day, from a Lab's energy to a Cavapoo's smaller size and routine. Friends and family have always trusted me with their pets, whether that's a quick check-in or a full house sit while they're away, and I know how much of a difference it makes for a pet to stay in their own home with their own routine rather than being uprooted. I have real experience with pets who need a bit more patience, including anxious or reactive dogs who need a calm, steady presence and clear boundaries rather than pressure. I'm comfortable reading body language and adjusting my approach so nervous pets feel safe rather than overwhelmed. I'm also confident with puppies and kittens, from basic house training and crate routines to gentle socialisation, and equally experienced with senior pets, including administering medication, managing mobility issues and keeping an eye out for changes that owners should know about. Whether it's a drop-in visit or a full house sit, you can expect close attention, honest updates and a pet who's genuinely cared for in the comfort of their own home. I'm flexible with timing and always aim to follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible. I offer morning, afternoon and evening drop-in visits, as well as overnight house sitting. I confirm exact visit times in advance and keep them consistent throughout the booking, which helps cats and dogs alike feel settled and secure, especially those who rely on a predictable routine. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority. I follow all instructions exactly as provided and make sure doors, windows, gates and feeding areas are secure at all times. I maintain a calm, respectful presence in your home so your pet can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment rather than being uprooted. I also send regular updates so you always know how things are going while you're away.

I have my own two extremely sweet, loving and playful girls - Judy, and Ava that I’ve had since a pup. They are my babies, have been socialised plenty growing up and are amazing around other animals! I work part time at Lloyds bank 3 days a week where the rest of the time I’m at home or out with my doggies! My garden is all fenced around at almost 6ft high and big enough for large dogs to have a good run! I always let me girls out for a morning toilet and play around 7am followed by a walk to the park 2 mins away and breakfast when home and then some rest and cuddles on the sofa. By afternoon I usually like to take my girls to leyborne lakes, shorne country park and venture somewhere new! No requirements at all- all doggies are allowed on furniture and can make noise, making sure they’re as comfy as can be! I can be fully flexible to your babies needs and their schedules as I want them to feel as at home as can be ❤️
About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve walked multiple dogs and looked after/fed pets while their owners were away, making sure they were happy and well cared for. I’m friendly, reliable, and always happy to help. I work 9–5 during the week, so I’m available for evening walks and visits Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, which means I can be more flexible with timings and available for drop-ins or walks throughout the day. Weekends are also usually flexible for me, with no regular commitments, so I can often work around your pet’s needs. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I keep water bowls fresh, clean up after them, and make sure the home is left tidy and secure. I’m calm, friendly, and patient, helping pets feel relaxed with a familiar and caring face while you’re away.
About: Hi! I grew up with dogs in Spain and have been caring for them since I was 11 walking, training, feeding, you name it. I’ve also looked after friends’ and family’s pups for years, and earlier this year I adopted my own mini sausage dog. She’s well trained, gentle, and loves company once she’s had an intro. If boarding, I ask for 2–3 meet-ups so both dogs can get comfortable. My partner also works from home full-time, so someone is always around to give your dog care and attention. I’m happy to help however I can, being around dogs is genuinely the best part of my day! 🐾 Typical 9-5 girl. Working from home most days along with my bf . We live in a house with garden and love finding friends for Nina. I will follow any instructions you give me and give the love and guidance to your little or big ones. If you want me to take your dog in for a few nights, we need to discuss that a bit futerh and make them to meet nina prior so everyhting goes smothly

About: I’ve loved cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a cocker spaniel who was my best friend for 14 years sparked my passion for pet care. Since then, I’ve happily cared for many dogs belonging to friends and family, and I’m currently a proud cat parent to three unique cats each with their own personalities, routines, and quirks. Whether it’s energetic walks, calm cuddles, or keeping up with feeding and medication schedules, I always adapt to whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable and loved. I recently moved to Gillingham from Margate, and I’m really missing the joy of being around dogs every day! While I share my home with my four cats, I’d love to bring some tail wags and dog energy back into my life. I’m reliable, gentle, and genuinely enjoy building bonds with every animal I meet. You can trust that I’ll treat your pet like part of the family. I work a 9–5 schedule with an hour lunch break, which gives me time for morning visits or walks before work, quick check-ins during lunch, and evening care after hours. I especially enjoy early morning walks - it’s one of my favourite ways to start the day! I’m available on weekends and can be flexible with timing outside of my work hours to make sure your pet gets the attention they need. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your pet’s usual routine, whether that includes feeding times, walks, medications, or specific house rules. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language and needs, and I aim to build trust through calm, consistent care.

About: I have a Foundation Degree in Animal Management. I grew up with dogs and have had dogs and cats as pets for most of my life. Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Medway
Maria has been a fantastic cat sitter, she sent daily updates, pics and videos of Pebbles. On top of this Maria fed the fox, hedgehog and fish plus watered the plants and groomed Pebs. I would highly recommend Marie, she is a lovely lady, followed instructions left by myself for all there needs, and most of all Pebbles enjoyed spending time with Maria.

Carrie-Anne looked after our cat Sid. We received daily reports on Sid and we received pictures which really helped us to know he was OK. Sid isn't keen on strangers so it was lovely to see him interacting. We have already booked her again for our next holiday.
Angela looked after our 4 cats while we were away for the night. As always they loved her, I have a strange sensation that they would be happy if she came and feed them every day! Updates showing our darlings not missing us at all but enjoying tickles from her. It's true that cats do not bite the hands that feed them. I cannot recommend Angela highly enough, this is our third booking with her and every time we go away know they will be loved. Thank you A
Melissa was fantastic, we booked her for drop in visits for our two sphynx cats whilst we went away, super friendly and caring, which is so reassuring when you are away from your pets knowing they are in good hands. Highly recommend Melissa, and thank you so much!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
