“Faith looked after our young puppy for four days and nights. She regularly kept us updated and Rex had a lovely time with her. She even got up through the night to settle and reassure him.”

About: I have cared for small and medium dogs (from very nervous to very energetic) through rover, including walking weekly and boarding for up to 10 days, I make sure to let the dogs out to potty every 1-2 hours and I typically walk them at 6/7am and around 5/6pm (during boarding). I am located near Gillingham high street, so the Great lines is on my doorstep. Drop me a text if you need a pet that requires walks/boarding/drop ins and I will let you know my availability as it may change weekly dependant on my uni schedule. I am currently studying for my Masters in Forensic Psychology, so I am at University two times a week. I am always happy to meet prior to booking, so that we can discuss your dog’s needs, their behaviour towards other dogs and their typical schedule. My busiest days are Thursday and Friday, so I typically get back at 7pm but I always make time for pets so that they can have one or two walks per day. Other than that my schedule is free so I can spoil your dog with attention and lots of play. In terms of boarding, I have a fenced garden so I can take dogs for regular potty breaks with no problem. I usually walk dogs twice a day. I make sure to play with the dogs and try to teach them new tricks, so don’t forget to bring their favourite ball/toy and other necessities like treats 😊 I like to educate myself on the best ways to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulation, whether that hiding treats in blankets or freezing carrots so your pet can work for their rewards. If there’s anything similar to this that you like to do with your dog, I am happy to take on new suggestions and try them out.
“Fabulous 👌 the girls adored her and took to her from the initial visit. Very confident and kept us well informed as to the girls well-being. Lovely to see them relaxed and out walking after only 1 day”

“Harriet is a friendly warm person who was brilliant with my puppy. I can tell she is a natural and has a love for dogs. Harriet was very knowledgable, professional and caring. Followed all instructions and made sure my puppy had fun. I would highly recommend to everyone. Thanks again!”

“I had confidence in Francesca from the moment I met her, she clearly has a love for and a natural affinity with dogs. My dog can be a bit shy with minders sometimes but she knew exactly what to do. She gave the right amount of photos and texts, which were very welcome. I would have no hesitation in hiring her again.”

“We can’t thank Keris enough for the amazing care she gave our dog and cat while house sitting for us for 4 days at short notice. Thanks to her, I was able to surprise my partner with a birthday trip to Rome without having to worry about our pets or home. From the moment we left, Keris kept us regularly updated with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind — especially as it was our first time having someone stay in our home to care for our pets. It was so reassuring to see how happy and relaxed they were in her care. Keris was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We came home to two very happy pets and a well-looked-after home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet/house sitter!”

“Emine was so lovely and our dog LOVED her (and I think visa versa haha), she was punctual and responsible, I felt totally safe leaving her with our dog and we would definitely book her again”

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life, having had cats since childhood and, more recently, my own much-loved dog. I’ve also regularly cared for pets belonging to friends and family, so I understand just how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy and genuinely cared for while you’re away. My own dog had epilepsy, so I have experience caring for a pet with additional needs, including administering medication and keeping a close eye on their wellbeing. This has made me particularly patient, attentive and comfortable following specific care routines. Having recently lost my own dog, I really miss that special companionship, which is one reason I’ve decided to offer pet sitting. I have plenty of love, cuddles and attention to give! Whether your pet loves company and affection, enjoys their own space, needs medication or simply likes their routine kept just the way they know it, I’ll treat them with the same kindness and care I would give my own. ❤️ I run my own online business from home, which gives me lots of flexibility and means I can work from your home too – all I need is an internet connection. This allows me to be around during the day to keep your pets company, give them plenty of attention and maintain their usual routine. Until recently, I had my own much-loved dog, who sadly passed away a couple of months ago. I really miss having an animal around and would love the opportunity to spend time caring for other people’s pets. Whether your dog needs regular walks, cuddles and company throughout the day, or your cats simply need someone around to feed them, play with them and give them affection (on their terms, of course!), I can be very flexible around their individual needs. I know how reassuring it is to have someone genuinely present with your pets while you’re away, rather than simply popping in and out, and I’m very happy to give them the time, companionship and care they’re used to. ❤️ I mainly offer pet sitting in your own home, as I believe many pets are happiest and most settled when they can stay in their familiar surroundings and keep to their normal routine while their owners are away. I’m very happy to follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, medication and bedtime routines, as well as giving them plenty of company, cuddles, playtime and attention. As I work online, I can work from your home with an internet connection, which means I can be there for much of the day rather than leaving your pet alone for long periods. Every pet is different, so I’ll always take the time to understand their personality, routine and individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including pets who need regular medication. For small dogs, I may also be able to offer care in my flat, where I work from home and can provide regular walks and toilet breaks. However, my preference is caring for pets in their own home, where they can feel safe, comfortable and relaxed while you’re away.

About: I’ve loved cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a cocker spaniel who was my best friend for 14 years sparked my passion for pet care. Since then, I’ve happily cared for many dogs belonging to friends and family, and I’m currently a proud cat parent to two unique cats each with their own personalities, routines, and quirks. Whether it’s energetic walks, calm cuddles, or keeping up with feeding and medication schedules, I always adapt to whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable and loved. I recently moved to Wainscott from Margate, and I’m really missing the joy of being around dogs every day! While I share my home with my two cats, I’d love to bring some tail wags and dog energy back into my life. I’m reliable, gentle, and genuinely enjoy building bonds with every animal I meet. You can trust that I’ll treat your pet like part of the family. I work a 9–5 schedule with an hour lunch break, which gives me time for morning visits or walks before work, quick check-ins during lunch, and evening care after hours. I especially enjoy early morning walks - it’s one of my favourite ways to start the day! I’m available on weekends and can be flexible with timing outside of my work hours to make sure your pet gets the attention they need. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your pet’s usual routine, whether that includes feeding times, walks, medications, or specific house rules. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language and needs, and I aim to build trust through calm, consistent care.

I have looked after a variety of dogs such as French bulldogs, to sprniger spaniels and staffies, and also up to larger dog such as a vizla. Come the weekends im generally free and spend time with my wife and newborn son. If im house sitting or popping in I will makes sure they have food and water and will always give them a fuss, good ear scratch and play with them to help burn some energy.

I genuinely love animals and want every pet I look after to feel happy, safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’ve cared for dogs and cats throughout my life, including raising my own fox red Labrador from a puppy. I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines and energy levels, and I’m also experienced with administering medication when needed. I recently spent two weeks house sitting for two spaniels, looking after their daily routines, walks, meals and everything they needed while their owner was away. I really enjoyed it and would love to build on this experience through Rover. What you can expect from me 🐾 I’m happy to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime and cuddles, while keeping your pet’s usual routine as consistent as possible. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I’m available for house sitting in your home, dog walks and drop in visits around Caterham and the surrounding areas. I work during the week but have flexibility around my working days, as well as availability in the mornings, evenings and weekends. I’ll always arrange a meet & greet beforehand so we can get to know each other, go through your pet’s routine and make sure I’m the right fit for you and your pet. I’d love to meet your furry family! 🐶🐱 For house visits and dog walks 🍃 I work full-time, so my availability is mainly evenings, weekends and when I’m able to work from home. For dog/house sitting 🏠 I am able to work remotely for long period of time if I have some warning to give to work. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s usual routine and make sure I can give them the time and attention they need before accepting a booking. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my priority. I’m responsible, attentive and will always follow your instructions around feeding, walks, medication and anything else they need. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and settled.
“Sophie was very reliable and everything went well. Sophie was at our home and locked up and all seemed to go smoothly. Lyra seemed relaxed and entertained and we would definitely have Sophie back again if she were free. Thank you.”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been the person that friends, family & neighbours come to when they need someone to look after theirs. I also have my own Frenchie, who is 3 and quite honestly my absolute baby! I genuinely see her as another child, so I completely understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own, making sure they get lots of love, attention, cuddles and of course plenty of walkies! 🐶❤️ I work as a school cook Monday to Friday, so I’m available for pet care after 2pm on weekdays. I’m available for overnight care throughout the weekends. I can also offer weekday boarding for dogs who are comfortable being left at home with my resident Frenchie until I finish work at around 1:30pm. Outside of work, I’ll be around to give your dog plenty of attention, playtime, walks and cuddles 🐶❤️ I have a secure, fenced garden and a friendly 3-year-old Frenchie who is very much part of the family. I live in a village with lots of lovely fields and walking routes nearby, so I can offer shorter walks around the area or longer walks for dogs who enjoy getting out and exploring. I’m also happy to visit your home for walks, feeding, toilet breaks or just some company. I’ll always follow your instructions and your dog’s usual routine and treat them with the same care and love I give my own ❤️🐾

I had confidence in Francesca from the moment I met her, she clearly has a love for and a natural affinity with dogs. My dog can be a bit shy with minders sometimes but she knew exactly what to do. She gave the right amount of photos and texts, which were very welcome. I would have no hesitation in hiring her again.

Ryan come to the rescue for our last minute booking! Easily arranged a meet up beforehand as well. Ryan was great, kept Holly entertained and provided plenty of her demanding cuddles 😂 the house was clean and tidy when we returned and Holly was as happy as we left her - all round Ryan seemed a great bloke and we were really happy, would definitely use him again!

We’ve just returned from our first week away, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible care Jen gave to our dog, Lexi. Kennels would be far too overwhelming for her, and she’s the type who needs to really get to know someone before she’ll fully accept them — let alone share her bed with them! 🤣 From the moment Jen arrived, Lexi absolutely adored her. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such capable, loving hands. Jen kept us updated throughout the week with messages and photos, which meant we could relax and enjoy our holiday without a single worry. We feel so lucky to have found someone who understands Lexi so well. We’ve already booked Jen again for our next trip because there’s truly no one we’d trust more. Thank you, Jen, for taking such wonderful care of our girl. 💛

Kat was an amazing dog sitter for our dog, Leo! She was very easy to communicate with during the stay, which made everything feel stress-free. Leo was clearly well cared for and happy, and when we came home the house was left incredibly clean. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness and reliability and would absolutely trust her with Leo again. Highly recommend Kat to anyone looking for a wonderful sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Medway walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Medway choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
