Pet care experience

Attentive & passionate pet care

My priority is your pet’s wellbeing: making sure they feel fully at home with plenty of exercise, socialisation, affection, and the right food. I have experience caring for dogs (including senior, puppies and rescue dogs), cats, birds, and guinea pigs. I tailor each day to suit your pet’s needs - whether that means long walks, playful games, relaxed cuddle time, or just a peaceful environment. What to expect: • Safe, pet-friendly home: I live with a few adults and no children (they do visit, however). • Custom routines: I am happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule, diet, medication, or special care instructions. • Regular updates: I send you regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and cared for. • Supervision: There’s usually someone home throughout the day, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. • Respect for your wishes: Let us know if you would prefer your pet not to be featured in any of our profile updates. A few important notes: • I cannot look after animals that aren’t house-trained (unless discussed and agreed beforehand). • Any damages caused by pets will need to be compensated by the owner - unless you let me know beforehand (e.g. Pickles loves scratching sofas!). Your pet’s happiness, health, and comfort are my top priority. I look forward to welcoming them into our home and treating them like family!

What a star AnnMarie has been!. Looked after Alfie, our crazy cockapoo for a month and he has never been happier. We will certainly be using Annmarie for any future holidays we have to look after Alf. Thank you Annmarie Stuart and Vicki

Basil seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself with Annmaire. Annmarie kindly shared regular photographs of Basil out on walks and playing in the house.

Great sitter! Queenie was well looked after and Ann-Marie had great communication,I received updates and photos of Queenie letting me know how she was getting on. As it was my first experience using a sitter I was anxious beforehand but she made me feel at ease. Many thanks again

Dylan and Annmarie, Thank you, What a fantastic and safe place to leave your dogs for a holiday, they loved it, daily updates sent with photos and videos and you can see how much they are enjoying themselves. I highly recommend them. Even knowing our dogs little quirks nothing was too much trouble.

My dog has been to Annmarie’s many times but unfortunately on this occasion she had a medical emergency due to no fault of Annmarie’s. Annmarie provided excellent communication and really went the extra mile to ensure my dog stayed as calm as possible before I could take her to the vet. Thank you for taking such good care of my dog while she was unwell and I wouldn’t hesitate to book in with Annmarie again.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

During the week, I keep your pet’s routine as close to their usual schedule as possible - including regular walks, feeding times, and any other care they need. Weekends are typically full of adventure for dogs who enjoy activity! I often have walks to the fields, forests and parks. Of course, if your dog needs more rest or a slower pace, I’ll happily adjust. For my feline guests, I make sure they are enriched and entertained with toys, gentle play, and all the affection they want - whether that’s a lot or just a little. I always match their energy and comfort levels.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything I do. At the moment, I can only take one household at a time so your pet won’t be in near proximity to another (apart from on their walks) I always prioritise the individual needs and personalities of each animal in our care. Cleanliness is a top priority in our household - not only to maintain a calm, pleasant environment, but also to minimise health risks and hazards for all pets. We regularly clean food and water bowls, bedding, litter trays, and shared spaces to ensure everything remains hygienic and safe. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I make sure to follow your pet’s usual routines as closely as possible - from feeding and walking schedules to preferred sleeping arrangements. I know how important consistency is for your pet’s happiness and security, so I take extra care to provide familiar structure, plenty of socialisation, physical exercise, and individual attention tailored to your pet’s needs. You can trust that: • Your pets will never be forced into interactions they are uncomfortable with. • Supervision is consistent - pets are never left alone for long periods. • Communication is always open: I send regular updates (photos and messages) so you feel connected and reassured. • I am attentive to small details - whether it’s administering medication, respecting nervous pets’ boundaries, or sticking to a specific training style you request. Your pet’s mental and physical wellbeing comes first - I aim to create a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can truly feel at home, whether they’re staying with us or being cared for in their own familiar space.

A typical day

For our dog guests, I take regular walks through nearby forests, parks and fields - giving them a chance to exercise, explore new smells, and enjoy the outdoors. The length, pace, and frequency of walks are always adjusted to suit your dog’s energy and physical ability. Whether they need a short stroll or a long adventure, we make sure they get the right amount of activity to keep them healthy and happy. Indoors, I focus on building a strong bond with your pet. I spend time playing interactive games, practising tricks (if your dog enjoys it), and offering plenty of affection, attention, and calm relaxation time. I aim to create a balanced routine - keeping them mentally and physically stimulated, without overwhelming them. For pets who are a little more nervous or low-energy, I’m happy to take things slowly, respecting their pace and providing gentle companionship. Each day is structured to give your pet a sense of security, fun, and love - so that whether they’re with us for a day, a weekend, or longer, they feel truly at ease and cared for
