“Swathi and her husband did a fantastic job of looking after my Harvey. They made lovely videos and photos of him and shared them with me as well as keeping me updated throughout the time they were looking after him. They kept my house very clean and tidy, I'll certainly be using them again. I'm very happy”

“Catriona has been looking after my staffie, once a week for a while now & I can’t recommend her enough! Communication is great, and Catriona always helps out when she can, even on last minute requests. Ultimately I know my 12 year old pooch is in safe hands when Catriona is looking after her! Thank you for being so reliable & we look forward to seeing you next week x”

“Poppy was amazing and I highly recommend. I booked Poppy for an all day pet sitting service, she also came to meet Elton a few days before my booking, Elton is quite an anxious dog but Poppy was very calm with him and will 100% be booking with Poppy again.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was 10. Hamsters, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs, Chickens, Dogs, Cats and Goldfish. I've never had any problems with my pets or anyone else's. I work from home, so I'm available 24/7 to look after your pets. Depending on the pets needs, they can either laze in front of the telly or go out for walks 3 or 4 times a day Loads of walks. Great Garden. Love having animals in the house. Your pets will be looked after and pampered. Please let me know of any behavioural issues so I know how to deal with this. Please also tell me the rules in your house and any training you are currently doing so I can keep up to date with these
“Michelle was great, made friends with Kodi from the start and was great at calming him down as he’s very excitable when people come to the house. She took lots of pictures throughout the day so we knew all was fine and could relax. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Michelle for all pets and she’s confident with more lively dogs which was great for us.”

About: I'm a video producer, who is looking to de-stress with some cat cuddles! I've owned three cats in my life, and I currently live with my lovely little black cat Tilly. I'm a very organised, communicative person who will do my very best to be a loving, responsible sitter for your cat! This is my sixth year on Cat In A Flat, and I've really enjoyed my experiences.

About: I have a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Diploma - CPD certified - I am insured and I have a DBS check. I take caring for pets very seriously and provide them with safety, care and affection while you're away. I am a uni student, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets outside of my studies. I am quite flexible. I am able to look after pets on some weekdays, evenings and weekends, and I am available full-time outside of term time. Due to my flat's pet restrictions, I only provide pet care services in my clients' homes, such as house sitting and home visits. This also helps your pets feel more at ease as they remain in a familiar environment while you are away.

About: My extended family have always had dogs and I've got experience with many breeds from great danes to yorshire terriers through all stages of their lives. From a youngster we had German shepherd's in the family and I was raised knowing that dogs are not pets, they are beloved family members with complex needs. I've volunteered at a number of animal rescues over the last two decades, driven by my love of animals and skill in dealing with a wide range of species. I'm the proud dad of a large rescue staffy x who is the centre of my world. You can be assured I will treat your companion with the utmost kindness and respect. I'm flexible depending on your dogs needs, I really enjoy long walks but if your dog prefers a slower, more sniffy walk, I'm happy to amble along at their pace. I'm at home most of the day as I don't leave my dog alone for longer than 2/3 hours. I'm an electrician by trade but am currently on an extended sabbatical. I'm in a ground floor flat with an 80 foot long, secure back garden with a 6ft fence. We have a friendly rescue dog, a young male bulldog x staffy. He's well socislised and enjoys the company of other dogs, he's neutered but particularly loves the ladies. We're a 20 minute walk from parks and the sea front. I'm trustworthy, respectful and have a recent DBS check if you require me to attend your home.
About: Hi! I grew up with dogs and love the affection and care that they bring. While I cannot have a dog full-time I would love the opportunity to make new dog pals. Available for all services and amenable to requests. Low introductory price to build client base. I work from home so can fit in most care needs. There’s access to a small fenced in area for toilet facilities but I am in an upstairs flat. Happy to do walks in the morning, at lunch or in the evenings as fits their routine. I’m able to meet most needs and am flexible to whatever is in your pet’s best interests. I’ve got a lot of experience with anxious and reactive dogs too.
“We were delighted with how our house sitting went with Alison. Our boy had a great time and Alison was amazing at getting our boy who went on hunger strike to eat. Went out on early morning walks to avoid the heat and we were treated with some beautiful photos and had frequent updates. House was left immaculate. Very happy.”

About: From a young age i have always loved all kinds of animals (more than humans🤭) We had cats, rabbits, hamsters at home from a young age then when i married my husband we homed a beagle cross from a puppy who we had till sadly we had to rehome at the age of 7 years. We as a family love animals including my son who was really gentle with our dog and played with him whilst letting him have his own space. I love going to different places for walks, the woods, beach & country parks so having a dog to take with me would be lovely company after rehoming ours. If your searching for a pet sitter who loves animals and will give them lots of love and attention look no further! I offer flexible and customizable pet sitting services to meet the needs of both you and your pets. Please get in touch. Thankyou Victoria I am currently a stay at home mum and have lots of time & love to give an animal. I also drive i have an estate with a large boot big enough for dogs, also available for drop in pet visits play, feed, etc. After rehoming my dog i really miss taking him for walks, finding new places to explore and giving an animal that love and attention they deserve. When we had our dog we would go out everyday somewhere new for a long walk exploring and meeting other dogs which he loved. We live in a spacious 2 bedroom flat with a communal garden area. Please see pictures. Pets are allowed on the beds and sofas, our dog used to sleep in bed with us so its not problem if they wanted to. I can administer flee and worming tablets if needed. I dont have a crate as we got rid of ours as it distressed our dog but can use yours if your dog is happy & content in a crate. Our dog had severe separation anxiety so I couldn't leave him he came everywhere with me, so if your dog suffers with this please be assured I will not leave them alone and fully understand how anxious it makes them. I can also come to your house for check ins, walks, play and feed.
“Yi was absolutely amazing. She sent us pictures throughout the day and gave us regular updates, and big bonus, she gave us some great advice regarding our pup’s allergies. She truly looked after Boris, we’re grateful we found her on Rover. We hope to see her again as we will definitely reach out next time we need someone to look after our pup”

“Ashley was fantastic; he looked after our dog Crumble for a week and sent updates and photos throughout. Crumble was very relaxed and played with him which was great to see. Ashley took amazing care of him, giving him his medication and taking out for walks as needed. As this was our first time with a dog sitter Ashley also met us ahead of the week to make sure Crumble wasn't reactive to him. This gave us reassurance that Crumble would be calm during the week and put our minds at ease for our holiday. Ashley also kept the house clean and had great communication throughout. Ashley was very reliable, trustworthy and an all round pleasure to meet; we were very happy to have found sound a brilliant dog sitter. Would not hesitate to book again; thank you so much!”

Great experience! My dog was well cared for, and it was clear he was treated with kindness and attention. Communication was easy, and I felt reassured throughout. I would definitely recommend Swathi and her husband to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitters. Jane and Darren Wilson

Catriona has been looking after my staffie, once a week for a while now & I can’t recommend her enough! Communication is great, and Catriona always helps out when she can, even on last minute requests. Ultimately I know my 12 year old pooch is in safe hands when Catriona is looking after her! Thank you for being so reliable & we look forward to seeing you next week x

I didn’t know Alison before my trip away, but I had read all the reviews, which were excellent. I have a 17 year old Cavachon, who I rescued 4 and half years ago. I was worried about leaving her, but once I met Alison, I knew my girl was in very safe hands. Alison took exceptional care of my little dog and she kept me updated with how she was doing. When I got home my house was spotless. I would absolutely recommend Alison - she is a very kind person and my little dog loved her.

Highly recommended Elisa! She has looked after our boys a few times now and they love her. We can see from her updates how comfortable they are with her and how she understands their personalities. She gives regular updates, always leaves our house clean & tidy and the boys are always happy when we get home. Our cats are quite high maintenance with their grooming and different diets so it gives us such peace of mind when we go away knowing they are being well looked after.

Ashleigh looked after my 12 year old doggy Mya recently and I instantly knew my girl was in good hands. You can tell Ashleigh has a genuine care and affection for animals and Mya went in for cuddles immediately on meting her. Ashleigh even got my dog out for a walk, which she is reluctant to do with most dog sitters! Communication with Ashleigh was great in the lead up to the booking and then regular updates throughout the day. I would certainly book Ashleigh again (I already have) and would recommend her to anyone needing help looking after their pets. Thank you Ashleigh and see you soon x

We had Daria stay for a week while we were away and she was fantastic! Our boys took to her straight away, and she kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which we really appreciated. She’s so easy to get along with, and we came home to a spotless house and two very happy dogs. Couldn’t thank her enough! we’ll 100% be booking her again!

Bethany was great, asked all of the right questions to make sure she was looking after our dogs the way we wanted to and she kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and to let us know they were okay. I will definitely use Bethany again to look after the boys they look like they had a great day

Laura was amazing. She has in depth knowledge of English Bulldogs and took great care of our boy whilst we were away. We received daily updates and pictures and an end of week review. We came home home to a very healthy looking and very happy dog. I would 100% recommend Laura without hesitation and we will certainly rebook next year for our holidays.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 83% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
