“My 1st time using the site, and I was a bit nervous. Ashley was very accomodating, and suggested meeting prior to the booking so I could meet him, and I could see how my dog reacted to him. Which put me at ease. Ashley took great care of our puppy, and sent us regular pictures and updates. I was very happy with the service, and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.”

“We knew the boys were in good hands when at the meet and greet Mowgli found a box of new dog toys to play with. The boys have been so well looked after and enjoyed their chasing round the garden.”

“Dean was an excellent Dogsitter. He very kindly provided daily updates and our dog was clearly very happy with him. Loved seeing her chilling and playing at his home and will definitely be using him again Thanks Dean!”

“Juliet is amazing and our dog Logan had a lovely stay with her! From when we first did our ‘meet and greet’ Juliet and her family were welcoming and asking questions which showed they had a genuine love for dogs and taking care of them. Their home is lovely and Logan especially loved the garden to run around in! We got plenty of updates from Juliet, photos and videos of all the fun things Logan had been up to whilst he stayed with them and he looked so comfortable and settled. We will definitely be using Juliet again and would recommend her to anyone that asks 😊”

“Alfie once again had a great time staying with Eleanor for three weeks. He remembered the house and couldn’t get in quick enough! All of his needs were fully met and nothing was a problem. Updates were given whilst I was away and it helped to have a great holiday knowing he was being well looked after. Thank you so much for taking care of him so well x”

“Thank you so much ! Daniel looked after my two setters for 4 nights and they had a superb time. They were very well looked after as he took them for long walks during the day, gave them treats and once even got an extra pack of food as he was able to look after them til the following morning - which was lucky! Two very happy dogs, thanks again.”

“Thank you for easing Rufus into a night away from home! This was a new one for us but I could trust he was being taken care of and that really made the experience less worrisome :)”

“We were very nervous about leaving our puppy and looked into lots of different options before speaking to Rita. We were away for 18 nights and I couldn't recommend Rita enough. She replied straight away and arranged a house viewing. We went with our pup, Teddy, and she answered all our questions. Whilst we were away she kept us updated with photos and check ins. Teddy had a wonderful time. We are away again next year and won't hesitate to leave him with Rita and her family again.”

“Melissa has been amazing, we were nervous to find a dog sitter as we have only left Poppy with family before but I explained all of this to Melissa and she put so much time into building Poppy’s trust before Poppy went to stay with her - we met her for walks and she even came to ours to take her for solo walks too. Soppy also built a relationship with Melissa’s dog Mabel and started to look forward to seeing them both. During her stay Melissa regularly messaged me with updates and photos or Poppy having the time of her life. I’m sure Poppy is sad to be back with us after all the fun she had with Melissa and Mabel and we won’t hesitate to book her again in the future.”

“I couldn’t have wished for a nicer couple to care for our Princess. They were kind, considerate and most caring for our little girl. We felt as ease as we were sent beautiful pictures and messages regarding how Princess was doing. Thank you so much Ria and Greg as you helped us to enjoy our little break ?”

“We can’t rate Lauren highly enough! Our Bella loved her time with Lauren and the kids. Trying to pick Bella up to bring her home and she curls up next to Lauren, which I’m taking as the dog equivalent of “I want to live here now”. We’ve already rebooked with Lauren for the next trip away”

“Sandra has been absolutely wonderful from day one. She was so friendly and accessible right from the initial enquiry, which instantly put me at ease. Throughout Miley’s stay, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, and that made such a difference - I always felt reassured knowing how happy and settled my dog was. It’s clear that Sandra genuinely cares, and the level of communication and attention she gives is exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommended.”

“I would give a 100 stars! Cyan was absolutely brilliant as always. Tofu got unwell on day 4 ....I was away for 2 weeks;-( and she handled it all so responsibly, taking him to the vet, getting him to take the prescribed tablets (not an easy task at all!), got scratched and what not.. but didnt complain once!! Cattu & Tofu are very thankful!!”

“Rhiannon was amazing, I cannot recommend her enough and will hopefully be asking her to do drops in for me in the future! :) she was rapid at responding whilst I was away and was really communicative. Most importantly, she was really chill with my cat Aya who can honestly be quite mean sometimes! I so appreciated Rhiannon’s help and I fully trust her! :)”

“I am very happy with Nicole, she did a fabulous job looking after my 3 furbabies, she was kind and patient with my nervous boy Oscar. She sent pics and updates at each visit, I felt I could relax while I was away knowing they were cared for. Will definitely book her again, and would highly recommend her services. ”

“Melissa was great! My rescue cat Winnie can be a little temperamental and doesn't trust people very sometimes. However, I felt reassured that Winnie was safe with Melissa as she checked in throughout and provided updates including about Winnie's mood/behavior which was lovely! Winnie also has annoying behaviors such as not covering her litter but Melissa took all this in her stride, which allowed me to not have to worry about Winners for the weekend! 😊 Would definitely book Melissa again (and plan to this year if she is free! 😊)”

“Elizabeth S. Looked after my 2 French Bulldog with care and love. This was the first time I have had someone look after the girls. Elizabeth followed their food needs, clean up after them, made them feel safe. Also, the updates she sent were reassuring. I was able to have a day out to see A Chorus Line with friends knowing my girls were well looked after. I would totally 100% recommend Elizabeth S. When I got home, my girls were settled, happy, fed and my home was clean,”

“Rebecca's been great. She kept us updated daily, which was very reassuring for us. I highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much for looking after our ginger boy.”

About: Hi! We’re Betül, Yavuz Alp, and Freud 🐾 We moved to the UK from Turkey three years ago with our beloved dog, Freud. We were lucky enough to meet him when he was a 2-year-old stray, and he has now been part of our family for five wonderful years. Since then, he has travelled with us to many places and is at the heart of our home. We live in a house with a secure, fully fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day enjoying the outdoors. I work Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, in Rayleigh, while my husband works from home full-time. During the summer, you’ll usually find him working from the garden rather than his upstairs office! At weekends, we love exploring local woodland walks such as Belfairs and Hockley Woods. Weekdays are a little quieter, but the garden is always full of games, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We also enjoy shorter evening walks after work. Freud is a friendly, easy-going dog of around 10kg. He gets on well with dogs of a similar size and enjoys having canine company. As with many smaller dogs, he can be a little cautious around much larger breeds, so we always make introductions thoughtfully. Guest dogs are welcome throughout our home and are free to relax on the sofas or beds if that’s what they’re used to. We simply ask that they are toilet trained and comfortable living in a home environment. One of the reasons I joined Rover is that I would love to adopt another dog one day, but for now I need to prioritise my finances and health. Looking after other wonderful dogs seemed like the perfect compromise—and Freud certainly won’t complain about making new friends! If you have any questions, we’d love to hear from you. Betül, Yavuz Alp & Freud 🐶 We are living in a house with a fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day. I am working Monday to Thursday 9to5 in an office in Rayleigh. On the other hand my husband is working from home and even though he has an office upstairs his main base is garden especially in Summer. We mostly spend our weekends with a long walk in the woods around, such as Belfairs and Hockley. We are a bit lazy during weekdays but garden is full of games. We tend to have 15 to 30 minutes short walks to the shops etc after 6 pm during weekdays. Freud is friendly with the dogs his size. He can be a bit protective of himself with bigger dogs with a lot of barking and hiding behind us😂 We have a crate which is large enough for Freud to move if needed, but not preferred.
“My dog Leo absolutely loved his day with David, he can be unsettled when in unknown environments for the first few times & David made an effort to even come & do a meet & greet beforehand out of his own time & was very understanding. He is reliable, friendly, accommodating & very kind, you can tell he has a real passion and just loves dogs which makes you feel so comfortable leaving your beloved pet with him. Would 100% use again!”

About: I have owned dogs throughout my teenage and adult years. I am now too busy with work to be owning one but sorely miss the furry company. I am experienced with dogs of all ages having owned dogs from puppy stage till end of life. I understand the nuances needed in the handling and also have owned dogs that needed to stick to strict medication plans. I’m happy to discuss this further in person and am open minded to your dog’s individual needs. I am mobile and love taking dogs to the beach. Cat owners: Unfortunately I am unable to provide the same in-depth level of care for your furry friends as I have developed an allergy in my adult years. I am available for feedings and short time care only in emergencies. Please contact me only if this is the case. I work from home and that can also include your house if your furry friend needs my attention for multiple days on end. I schedule most of my day myself so am quite open to drop by your house to let your dog out, go for walks or for feeding times. I’m happy to discuss further. This depends on your individual needs. I can be available for walks, play dates or overnights. I prefer you to tell me what you are comfortable with. Do you like your dog on the lead only? Do you prefer to stick to certain walking routes or do you give me the freedom to build a foundation of trust with you and your dog to take him/her on adventures. Let’s discuss!
About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs. Whilst I was at university, I began dog walking as a hobby — helping my neighbours care for their dogs during the day while also giving myself a reason to get outdoors and do something that truly made me happy. What started as a small pastime quickly became something I looked forward to every day. Since then, my love for dogs has only grown, and I’m now the proud owner of a cockapoo called Peggy. She’s incredibly friendly, loves meeting new furry friends, and is always happiest when she’s surrounded by other dogs. I currently work remotely, which means I have plenty of flexibility and time to give your pups the attention, play, and exercise they deserve. Having a dog of my own means I’m always ready for an adventurous walk, rain or shine! I’m also available for house sitting during the week or at weekends, and I’m happy to work around your needs to make sure your dog feels comfortable and well cared for. With plenty of experience caring for dogs in their own homes, I’m more than happy to stick closely to your dog’s usual routine to keep them calm, comfortable, and settled. If your pup enjoys playing and socialising, they’ll have a wonderful time spending the day with my friendly cockapoo, Peggy — she loves the company of other dogs! Above all, I’m always happy to follow your lead and care for your pet in the way that suits them best.
“Lynn walked my dog for nearly an hour even though I had only booked half hour! She sent me updates and photos and I felt very comfortable letting my fur baby go out with her. We spoke at length before she left and I felt reassured as I had never done this before! I would definitely use Lynn again. Thanks Lynn he has been asleep all afternoon x”

I am very active so more than happy to take your dog for long walks or even runs. I have 2 persian cats who are world and completely understand wanting to have the best care for your furry babies. I just love spending time with animals and wherever I go I always seem to make furry friends! I am very flexible with days and times for walks/drop ins. About: 7 years experience ✅️ Hi, my name is Victoria. I am a pet sitter in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, close to the beach and surrounded by lots of beautiful parks and woods. From a young age, I have always loved animals of all kinds (sometimes more than humans🤭!). Growing up, we had cats, rabbits and hamsters at home, so animals have always been a big part of my life they bring me so much peace and happiness. When I got married, my husband and I welcomed a Beagle cross into our family from a puppy. We sadly had to rehome him when he was seven years old, which was a very difficult and heart breaking decision for us. As a family, we have always loved animals, and my son was especially gentle and caring with our dog, knowing when to play with him and when to give him his own space. I love exploring different places on my walks, whether that's the woods, the beach or beautiful country parks, so having a furry friend to enjoy these adventures with would be wonderful company. I’m a caring, reliable and genuinely animal-loving person, and I will always treat your pets as if they were my own. I love to give them lots of fuss, cuddles and attention, while also respecting their individual personalities and giving them space when they need it. I can offer flexible and personalised pet-sitting services to suit you and your pets, and I’m also happy to help with things such as flea and worming treatments if needed. For your peace of mind i am DBS CHECKED/FULLY INSURED/CPR & FIRST AID TRAINED. If you're looking for a pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and will give your pets plenty of love, care and attention, then feel free to get in touch - I’d love to hear from you! — I’d be very happy to chat about your pets and how I can help! Thank you, Victoria 🐾 I’m currently a stay-at-home mum, so I have lots of time, love and attention to give to an animal who needs it. I also drive and have an estate car with a large boot, so there’s plenty of room for dogs to travel safely and comfortably. I’m also available for drop-in pet visits, whether your pet needs feeding, some playtime, company, cuddles or just a little bit of attention while you’re out. Since rehoming our dog, I’ve really missed having a furry friend to take on walks, discovering new places to explore together and giving them all the love, care and attention they deserve. When we had our dog, we would go out every day and find somewhere new to explore, whether that was the beach, woods or country parks. He absolutely loved going on adventures, meeting other dogs and having lots of exciting new smells to investigate! I would really love the opportunity to share those walks and adventures with another dog and give them the same love and happiness that I gave to our own. 🐾❤️ We live in a spacious two-bedroom flat with access to a communal garden area. Pets are welcome on the beds and sofas — our dog used to sleep in bed with us, so we’re more than happy for your dog to do the same if they’re comfortable. I’m happy to administer flea and worming treatments if needed. We don’t currently have a crate, as we got rid of ours because our dog found it distressing, but I’m more than happy to use your crate if your dog is happy and comfortable being crated. Our dog suffered from severe separation anxiety, so I completely understand how difficult and stressful this can be for both dogs and their owners. I was unable to leave him alone, and he came everywhere with us. If your dog experiences separation anxiety, please be assured that I will not leave them alone and will do everything I can to make them feel safe, settled and comfortable. I can also provide home visits, including check-ins, walks, playtime and feeding, if that’s what your pet needs. 🐾

“Catriona was great, lots of lovely updates and great communication which made the whole process really easy from start to finish. Bronson was very comfortable and happy in her care. Can home a happy tired pooch. Her home is clean, tidy and very dog friendly. Would definitely use Catriona in the future.”

“Donna and her husband were amazing. We came round to meet them first and they have everything set up for a dog to feel at home. Our puppy was loving life and was so excited to go back and stay. They’ve got a big garden for the dogs to run around in sent us videos of how she was getting on which was lovely. I’m so glad we found them and now wouldn’t think twice about using them again.”
