“Clare was just amazing! She sat my 2 year old mini goldendoodle, Tessy, for a week at my home. It was my first time leaving Tessy alone for longer than a couple of days and I was super nervous! Clare made the experience nothing short of perfect. From meeting a couple of times ahead of the stay to make sure Tessy was comfortable with her to keeping me regularly updated with lots of pictures which made me so at ease! Tessy absolutely loved her and looked so sad when Clare left. They had so many fun activities together! Clare also left the house and everything is great condition. I couldn't recommend her enough and she will always be my go-to person for Tessy's care. Thank you for making my girl so at ease and looking after her so well ❤️”

“Suraj was wonderful with our cocker spaniel. From the moment he entered the house he put Berry at ease and they got on really well. Suraj sent lots of photo updates and I felt totally secure knowing Berry was well looked after - we will definitely be rebooking!”

“Thomas and Zoe are fantastic sitters! We have two big, stubborn doggies including a rescue and they were both very happy when we returned, our apartment was well taken care of too. They are great communicators which is very important to us, and we were kept updated with lovely pictures- all of our dog’s routines were kept to perfectly. They were flexible through some changes in plans and we will definitely be using them again. We are grateful we found such trustworthy people!”

About: I grew up with dogs as much as I did with cats. My first experience was when I was two years old and visiting my home country. There I interacted with and befriended my family’s guard dogs. I kept this up through all my visits to my country as well as during my childhood in the UK. I spent a good chunk of my primary and secondary school days playing with the neighbours’ dogs and also got to look after two of the puppies while the neighbours were away. I then took on work experience at a vet where I got to see dogs every day and interact with them as a healthcare provider as well as a friend. I got to know dogs as patients and companions and learned a lot about their physiology, body language and communication quirks. I have always loved dogs and cats. In my domiciliary care experience, I have found myself taking care of patients and their pets. This has increased my experience and confidence in working with dogs. I have never met a dog that didn’t like me. I am a medical student with days on and off campus. Most of my time is spent at home, studying. I’m a homebody and rarely go out aside from school and grocery shopping. I can board your pet or visit your home to check on them. I am also available for house sitting if there is ample parking and I am close to my university campus. I live in a large house with lots of great hiding spots and high points. I also have a large fenced garden for your cat to play and bask in. There are several secure buildings on my property in case your cat requires a smaller, darker or lower foot traffic area. My cats live in the main house but are very chill and friendly. However quarantine is possible if they don’t get along with your furry friend. When it comes to your own home, I have experience in domiciliary care and so I am accustomed to working in people’s houses whilst respecting their space. I can visit your felines and ensure they are fed, watered and that their litter tray is clean. I can also provide them with company for a while and sit outside with them if they would like to get some sun. I will always leave the place as I found it and may also do some light cleaning if I find a mess.
“Natalie was fantastic. My nervous rescue lab was completely at ease and when I returned from my weekend away I could tell that she was very contented. Would recommend Natalie without any hesitation ☺️”

About: Growing up with dogs has been one of the best parts of my life. Some of my earliest memories are filled with me walking the dog with my mum and the happiness it bought us. I'm currently a University student in my third year, I'm only at University on Monday and Wednesday between 12pm-3pm. Other than that I am completely free and have a very flexible schedule I have a fenced back garden, so when the dog needs to go out, it will be completely safe. On walks the dog will mostly be on a leash just to avoid any unforeseen circumstances

About: I have taken care of friends and family dogs over the years and currently have a cocker spaniel who is a ball of energy. I have looked after a variety of dogs such as French bulldogs, to sprniger spaniels and staffies, and also up to larger dog such as a vizla. I create a strong bond so they feel safe around me and in doing so this allows me to trust them that they will listen me on a walk or at home. I work from home 5 days a week so can be on hand to take care of your dog throughout the day whether that is at my house or at yours, if your dog would prefer a more familiar environment. Come the weekends im generally free and spend time with my wife and newborn son. I have a cocker spaniel at home who will happily play with your dog and I will take him with me on the walk to help burn off your dogs energy. On a walk I have an energetic cocker spaniel who is more than happy to play with your dog in a field. He just wants to chase and be chased and is extremely friendly. Alternatively if your dog likes a gentle stroll of the streets I am more than happy to accommodate. If im house sitting or popping in I will makes sure they have food and water and will always give them a fuss, good ear scratch and play with them to help burn some energy.

“Caitlyn is such a lovely girl...when she first came to visit Poppy hid under the settee, but Caitlyn suggested that she'd bring some treats in case she does it when she sits for her. It all turned out well and Caitlyn, who was unwell at the time of the sit still came along and didn't let me down. I was let down by another sitter so I really appreciated her coming. I would highly recommend her and would definitely ask her to sit again”

About: I appreciate you taking the time to read my experience,I have always lived with cats as my parents loved to adopt from the RSPCA so i actually lived with 8 beautiful cats from across all breeds so I know very well how to gain there trust and help them to be most comfortable.i have also spent time looking after my neighbours dog when she goes on vacation. I’m currently unemployed as I just finished college and love animals so thought I would chose a job I know I will love, I have always been around animals and feel a strong connection with them. I can easily care for your dog/cqt if there shy or timid not putting any pressure on your dog/cat to show trust instantly
About: I live alone in a flat with a balcony, which is has plenty of greenery just outside and is a 5 min walk from the river in a quiet area. I grew up with cats all my life since a young child and during my adult life, my dad and I had two gorgeous Shetland sheepdogs who have sadly now both passed away. However he has now got a new Sheltie puppy who I regularly spend time with when I visit my dad. I therefore have a wealth of experience with both dogs and cats and I am a true animal lover. Living alone now, pet sitting will enable me to have more company and I also work from home full time (very occasional days in the office which can often be negotiated), which means I can offer constant companionship when pet sitting. I am also able to pet/house sit and work from home from your home if preferred. I love having a cuddle with pets so they are always most welcome on the sofa and on the bed - if they love a cuddle at night, that’s even better! I work from home full time, only having to go into the office occasionally, which is known in advance. I’d be able to have pets in my home or be able to pet sit within your home, and working from home allows me to offer constant companionship. If your dog was boarding at mine, I would be able to offer multiple walks a day (before work, after work, and a quick lunchtime walk if needed). I live in a flat so I don’t have a garden but there is greenery just outside and areas to go for long walks. I have a balcony where a dog can sit and watch the world go by. I prefer to walk dogs on a lead at all times. I am able to pet sit within your home and work from your home as long as there is reliable internet for work.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and my family currently has two Pomeranians, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I also have hands-on experience providing dog boarding and sitting services, which has given me a strong understanding of different temperaments and care needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply providing calm, cosy companionship, I always make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I live in a house with a large garden, surrounded by wooded areas and plenty of great walking routes, so your dog will have lots of space to explore and enjoy. Our two family dogs live separately with my sister in an annexe, so if your dog prefers their own space or needs to be away from other dogs, I can easily accommodate that. I’m also happy to care for reactive dogs and will always take the time to understand your dog’s specific needs and routines to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. As a part-time worker, I’m available evenings Monday through Wednesday, and all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, giving me plenty of time to dedicate to your dog. In my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure a pet-friendly environment with plenty of space to play, cozy spots to rest, and constant supervision. I make sure all areas are secure to prevent any escapes or accidents. When I visit your home, I follow your routine, maintain a familiar environment for your pet, and ensure they are comfortable and safe. Whether it's checking on food, providing medication, or simply offering companionship, I always take extra steps to create a calm and secure atmosphere. Your pet’s well-being is always my focus!
About: Hi everyone, I’m a genuine animal lover with years of experience caring for pets throughout my life. I currently have my own cat, Nahla, who I absolutely adore, so I understand how important it is to know that your pet is with someone kind, attentive and trustworthy. I’d be very happy to help with dog walking, cat/dog drop-in visits, feeding, companionship and pet sitting in your home. My aim is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable and well cared for, and I’ll treat them with the same patience and affection I would give my own. I’m reliable, responsible and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding instructions, walks, playtime and any particular preferences they may have. I’m also very happy to send you updates and photos while they’re in my care. My availability is generally flexible throughout the week, particularly from around 11am onwards. I can also accommodate mornings for regular arrangements. As I have a cat of my own, I’m currently focusing on care in the owner’s home rather than boarding pets at mine. If you’re looking for someone caring and dependable to look after your pet, I’d love to hear from you. 🐕🐈🐾 My schedule is currently quite flexible throughout the week, so I can accommodate daytime walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting. I’m generally available from around 11am onwards, although I can also arrange earlier mornings for regular bookings or when agreed in advance. Safety, Trust & Environment I always follow the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll take time to understand their personality, feeding schedule, walking habits and any specific needs before caring for them. I’m attentive, reliable and respectful of both your pet and your home, and I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates while you’re away.

Anna has been our sitter for my dog , 2 cats and rabbit and she has been brilliant. The animals have been spoilt rotten and cared for exceptionally well. Anna has sent updates , pictures and videos of all my animals. I could not recommend her enough. Thank you so much .

Clare is very special, nothing is too much trouble for her. I know that Poppy and my home will be in good hands. She gives me regular reports with photos on how Poppy is and she also washes and dries the bedding and towels before she leaves, which is above and beyond what I would've expected but really appreciated. I can't recommend her enough!

- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
