“We left our boy( dog) with Michelle for 10 days while we were away, and WOW was the best decision to give our dog to Michelle and Ava ( who helped and our dog become attached to her 😊). Michelle kept us updated with pictures and daily messages about our boy. I didnt felt that we left Fidel with a stranger. Michelle and her family and Wilf and Ralf embraced and welcomed Fidel. He felt at home straight away. I will definitely bring Fidel back to Michelle and highly recommend the complete package that she offers.”

“Laura provided lots of photographs and videos of my puppy and I could see how engaged and busy she was at day care. Laura is very professional and makes upmost effort to make sure that my dog was comfortable before we arranged the first day care. It really put me at ease and felt reassured that my dog was taken care of. I got lots of clips of her on dog walks throughout the day and pictures of her playing with other dogs. It looked like my pup had the best day and I will be rebooking Laura again!”

“Christmas is such a busy and all-consuming time of year for so many, but Kevin & his family were very accommodating when looking after my beloved and bouncy border collie Heidi over the build up to this Christmas. He made every step of the process seamless. My dog was made feel so welcome, loved and cared for during her stay with Kevin and his family. She became part of their family unit for her stay! They provided the utmost care and attention, ensuring her care and playing needs were all met 🎾 Kevin provided regular communication & photo/video updates throughout Heidi’s time with his family. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you once again Kevin!”

About: I have always been around dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. From a young age, I have cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs and gained a strong understanding of their different personalities and individual needs. I have competed in dog training to a high standard, giving me valuable experience with obedience, handling and understanding dog behaviour. I know that every breed is different and requires the right amount of exercise, mental stimulation, routine and attention. When your dog is in my care, I will treat them as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after while giving them the care and attention they deserve. I am fully committed to providing the best possible care for every dog I look after. I am working towards making dog care my full-time career, so I am able to dedicate my time, attention and energy to giving each dog the care they deserve. My schedule is flexible and centred around the needs of the dogs in my care, including walks, playtime, training, companionship and maintaining their normal routines. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable and settled when away from their owners, and I will always make their wellbeing my priority. I am reliable, passionate and committed to building trust with both dogs and their owners. Pets in my home will be treated as part of the family. I will make sure they have a safe, comfortable and calm environment where they can settle in and feel relaxed. I will follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, exercise needs, medication (if required) and any specific behaviours or preferences their pet has. I believe every dog is different, so I adapt my care to suit their breed, age, energy levels and personality. I will provide plenty of attention, play, walks and mental stimulation while making sure they have time to rest and feel at home. My priority is always keeping pets happy, safe and well cared for while their owners are away.

“Clare looked after our dogs, Rocco and Lenny, for two weeks while we were away, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. From the very beginning, Clare took the time to really understand both dogs, their personalities, routines, and individual needs, which immediately gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear throughout their stay that she genuinely bonded with them and treated them with so much care and attention. We really appreciated her thoughtful approach and the reassurance of knowing they were in such capable hands while we were away. We would absolutely recommend Clare to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and we will definitely be using her services again the next time we travel.”

As always Katrina has provided the best care we could hope for our beloved older dog. I am always amazed to hear how much she remembers about our dog's needs and quirks. Our dog benefitted from a very caring setting and when collected settled back home straight away, which is a sign of a happy dog! We received regular daily updates and pictures throughout the stay, which kept us reassured, Katrina not only understand dogs, but also furry parents and their concerns, a five star service. Thank you again x

Lilly took care of our Weimaraner for two weeks while we were away, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. As any Weimaraner owner knows, they are high-energy, sensitive dogs that need a lot of love and attention—and Lilly went above and beyond in every way. It was so clear how much she genuinely cared for our dog, treating them like a member of her own family. We loved receiving her regular updates and photos throughout the two weeks. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our pup was happy, well-exercised, and thoroughly spoiled. We came back to a relaxed, joyful dog, and we will absolutely be using Lilly's services again in the future if possible!

Jade was very good with misty sent me pics and updates on how she was getting on. I can tell she has been spoilt, misty has been a bit quiet since coming home but that is due to her missing jade and the family. The only thing that let her down was she gave misty a bath but that was my fault as I should have told her not bath misty as she gets very matted if not blowdryed properly so she is going to groomers today so they will sort her out.would I use jade again the answer is definitely. I just want to thank jade again for taking such good care of misty

My booking with Dani was very last minute as I had been let down by another sitter, but how fortunate we were to have found her! We were kept updated with photos during our holiday and it was clear that Jasper felt very much at home. In fact he sulked for two days after we collected him because I think he was missing his ‘other family’! I can’t thank Dani enough and would definitely book with her again.

Laura and family looked after Teddy very well. They have sent lots of pictures and took Teddy for long walks. Teddy had a great time. I definitely recommend Laura and her family. Thank you again for accommodating us especially knowing Teddy has special a special dietary requirement and medication.

First time, weekend boarding, booking with Lea and Lucas for our Cocker Spaniel, Freddy. We arranged for a ‘ meet and greet’ the week before and I was immediately put at easy with their caring manor, interest in Freddy’s welfare and how they could makes Freddy’s stay a good one. Freddy’s stay went very well and we received many detailed updates and pictures of Freddy looking comfortable, happy and loved, which was so comforting for us. It made our time away relaxing knowing that he was being really well cared for and was happy. Freddy’s medication and food was given as instructed and he was given plenty of comfort breaks in their garden- they always put Freddy’s needs first. The weather was extremely hot and Lea and Lucas provided everything needed to keep Freddy cool- A cooling mat, fans and shade, were made available for Freddy, with walks given in the cool mornings and evenings making sure Freddy was cool and comfortable. I was extremely impressed with Lea’s and Lucas excellent care and attention to Freddy’s welfare and would 100% recommend them. We would definitely like to use them again for any future occasions - thank you Lea and Lucas for your excellent care, Freddy, Mark and I were very happy! 😊

Jenny was 11/10! We were slight nervous leaving kira as we always are but Jenny made us feel completely at ease. My labrador requires a lot of patience nd loving and Jenny did just that. She kept us up too date with photos and videos which were great! When we collected Kira, we was greeted by Jenny and her family which was lovely. She truly treated kira as part of the family aand we are extremely greatful. Would definitely be using Jenny again!☺️

We are so happy to have left Teddy our 5 year old cockapoo with Courtney. We received regular updates with lots of walks and we could see that Teddy was happy and comfortable over his 2 week stay. Courtney clearly loves and understands dogs and we would highly recommend her.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
