About: I've had dogs since I was 16 years old. My Mum first got a yorkshire terrier at this age! I've just lost my Collie x Dalmatian that I had from a pup, she lived to be 17. I have looked after my families' dogs including a golden retreiver, cockapoo, yorkshire terrier, dog de bordeux, belgian mallionois, american bull mastiff and my own collie x dalmatian. I currently work part-time and have weekends free so I'll have plenty of time to look after and play wuth you fur-babies. I've just lost my dog I had for 17years who was a collie x dalmatian. I have lots of cuddle and love to give! I have a fenced garden which are 6 foot, and a three bedroom house. I have a small park up the road and I am round the corner from Hadleigh Country Park! I have two Adult children and live with them and my husband.

Donna and her husband were amazing. We came round to meet them first and they have everything set up for a dog to feel at home. Our puppy was loving life and was so excited to go back and stay. They’ve got a big garden for the dogs to run around in sent us videos of how she was getting on which was lovely. I’m so glad we found them and now wouldn’t think twice about using them again.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of a wonderful 5-year-old Cockapoo, so caring for dogs is a big part of my everyday life. I also have plenty of experience with dogs within my wider family and friends and am very comfortable around different personalities and temperaments. Dogs really are like children to me (and, if I’m honest, I often prefer them to humans!). I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can trust, so I’ll always treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. That means lots of attention, affection, walks, playtime and, of course, plenty of cuddles. As a dog owner myself, I understand all the little things that matter — sticking to routines, keeping them happy and comfortable, and making sure they feel safe and loved while their owner is away. 🐾 I work from home, which means I’m around throughout the day to give your dog plenty of company, attention and affection. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily fit in regular walks, toilet breaks, playtime and cuddles throughout the day. Having my own dog means that walks and doggy routines are already a natural part of my day. I love having four-legged company while I work, and your dog will be treated like part of the family rather than simply being looked after. 🐾 Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my priority. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to know that your dog is in safe and caring hands. I work from home, so dogs in my care will have plenty of supervision and company throughout the day. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, toilet breaks and any specific instructions you provide. I have a fenced garden for the dogs to enjoy. I’m very attentive to each dog’s individual personality and needs and will make sure they have a comfortable, relaxed environment with lots of affection and attention. I’ll treat your dog just as I would want someone to treat my own — like one of the family. 🐾

Ria and Greg had been amazing dog sitters for our Gem. I was anxious because I was leaving Gem for first time for 5 days. They put me at ease and assured me they will take care of him and make him comfortable. The moment I left their home they started sending me photos and videos of Gem settling in . Throughout I got regular updates about Gem from morning to night. They took him on regular walks and he also had the company of their lovely dog Nala. I would definitely use them in future. Ria and Greg are really welcoming and easy to communicate with. Thank you Ria and Greg.

About: We’ve both grown up with dogs and have spent many years caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to older dogs. Between us, we have over two years of pet sitting experience, as well as a lifetime of owning and looking after our own family dogs. We treat every dog as if they were our own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. We enjoy playing with them, giving them plenty of attention, and taking them on regular walks in the lovely parks and green spaces near our home. We’re also happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication, and any special care they may need. As a couple, there’s always someone available to give your pet the care and companionship they deserve. We understand how important it is to leave your dog with people you can trust, and we’ll do everything we can to make them feel right at home. We both work full-time from home, which means we’re around throughout the day to provide plenty of care, attention, and companionship. Dogs won’t be left alone and will have regular toilet breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of affection. We enjoy being active and love taking dogs for walks in the nearby parks and green spaces. We also make sure each dog has time to relax, stick to their usual routine, and feels comfortable and settled while staying with us. Your dog’s safety and happiness are our top priorities. We have a secure, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely play and explore. We also have our own friendly two-year-old miniature Dachshund, Bella, who is calm, gentle, and very sociable. She has never shown any signs of aggression and enjoys the company of other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for visiting pets. We’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, medication (if required), and any specific instructions you provide. We supervise interactions, keep the environment clean and safe, and treat every dog as if they were part of our own family, ensuring they receive plenty of love, attention, and care throughout their stay.

About: I’ve always had pets in my family home and we currently have 2 dogue de bordeaux’s! All of the dogs we have owned have lived with us until they passed, meaning I have experience with puppies through to seniors! As well as this, I have always had large dog breeds, the biggest being 2 Newfoundlands, so I am able to cope with many challenges our pets can throw our way. I’m a university student currently at home for the summer which makes me perfect for caring for your pets! I absolutely love getting out and about so I’d love to take your dog for a lovely new walk! I have a fenced in back garden and two loving female French Mastiffs, they’re giant teddy bears with no prior issues with other animals! If you would prefer for me to sit inside your home, I will be happy to leave my two at home as my partner will be there, do not feel like they are necessary as well! :)

Well, we certainly hit the jackpot when we asked Ria and Greg to look after Hector for the night. They are such a lovely and friendly couple and took great care of our boy, sending pics and a video. So much so that, I don’t think he was that bothered to leave when we went to pick him up 😂. Will definitely be using Ria and Greg in the future 😀

Our little Dolly stayed with Donna and Neil for 12 days and I can honestly say she had the best time. Donna and Neil are simply the best dog sitters you could wish for. So kind, caring and accommodating. They genuinely love all the dogs they care for and it shows. Dolly was so relaxed and happy the whole time she was there. Such a relief to know she is well looked after while we’re away. Thank you both so much. I think Dolly misses you both already ❤️❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Castle Point on Rover is £33.35 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 13,117 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Castle Point. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
