“Alison looked after our cocker spaniel for 3 days starting early morning Saturday and finishing late this evening. Alison was wonderful from start to finish. She took great care with Maggie and gave her lots of attention. We also received reassuring updates from Alison during Maggie’s stay to let us know how she was settling in and what she had been up to including long walks, naps and play. Maggie enjoyed the company of Alison’s very lovely poodle Bella who is very calm and gentle. We will not hesitate for a second to use Alison again and would highly recommend her to anyone else. She is wonderful.”

I’m confident caring for dogs with different personalities and routines, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and at home while they’re in my care I work from home so plenty of love to give, lots of walks & cuddles. I have a cockapoo too who loves other dogs and would love the company. We have a fenced garden totally safe and big to run around, plus a very loving home that they are free to roam wherever they would like.

About: 🐾 Hi, I’m a passionate animal lover with several years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities! At home, I’m proud pet parent to two mischievous cats, Bobby & Milo, and one fun-loving dog, Rolo, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry family members. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless cuddles, playtime adventures, or simply having a calm and reassuring companion while you’re away, I’ll tailor my care to their individual needs. I have extensive experience with both cats and dogs and always treat every pet as if they were my own. For your complete peace of mind, I am fully insured for pet sitting and dog walking, ensuring your beloved companions are in safe and professional hands. My goal is simple: happy pets, stress-free owners, and plenty of wagging tails and purring cats! 🐶🐱 I’d love to meet you and your furry family, so please feel free to get in touch. I can’t wait to make some new four-legged friends! Pet care is a huge part of my daily life. As the owner of two cats, Bobby & Milo, and a dog, Rolo, caring for animals is already built into my routine every single day. From feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and cuddles to making sure each pet gets the attention and care they need, I’m very experienced in managing the different needs and personalities of both cats and dogs. I structure my schedule around providing reliable, consistent care, which allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I look after. Whether it’s morning walks, daytime visits or evening feeds I enjoy incorporating pet care into my week and genuinely love spending time with animals. For me, pet care isn’t just a job—it’s something I’m passionate about. I understand how important routines are for pets, and I always aim to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away. I always provide care that is tailored to each pet’s individual needs, routine, and personality. I understand that every animal is different, and I take the time to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I aim to maintain their usual routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, administering medication if required, cleaning litter trays, and, of course, plenty of affection and companionship. Keeping pets in their familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows them to feel relaxed while their owners are away. For dog walking services, I ensure dogs receive safe, enjoyable walks suited to their age, energy level, and requirements. Whether they enjoy a brisk adventure or a gentle stroll, their wellbeing and safety are always my top priorities. As a pet owner myself to two cats, Bobby & Milo, and my dog, Rolo, I know how important trust, communication, and reliability are. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so owners can have complete peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for. I am also fully insured for pet sitting and dog walking, offering an additional level of reassurance that your beloved pets are in safe and professional hands.
About: I've been around dogs since I was a child. We've always had family dogs that I've looked after when family have been away. I've also dog sat a whole range of breeds for friends. I work full-time Monday to Friday. I also work some weekends which means I then get days in lieu in the week to look after furry friends. Evenings are relatively free most days. My flat is surrounded by so much green space and it's a really quiet area. I have a spacious living room and bedroom with plenty of room for dogs to feel comfortable and have space.
“Alison looked after our puppy Luna for the day and overnight, Luna was very well looked after, cared for and given lots of attention and affection. Alison was great at understanding Luna’s needs and communicating with and also sent pictures and videos of Luna so we could see how she was getting on throughout her stay. Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much 😊”

About: As a dedicated dog owner to two high maintence dogs myself, I understand how important routine, patience and affection are in helping dogs feel safe and settled. Alongside caring for my own two Chow Chow’s Winnie and Bertie, I’ve looked after friends’ chow chows and a variety of other breeds while they’ve been on holiday, giving me plenty of hands‑on experience with different temperaments, ages and needs. Whether I’m supporting a playful pup or a more sensitive dog, I always tailor my approach to their individual personality, ensuring they feel loved, secure and part of the family. My two chows are very friendly and love to make new friends and welcome them into their home. My female Chow has various health issues, so I am very experienced in giving medication and following instructions and promise to love and care for your dog like they’re my own! I have a Smoke free / clean home and there’s plenty of space. I can bath your dog for you on request, I have lots of experience in home grooming due to having two very fury chows! And have a professional blaster for drying. Your dog/ dogs must be ok and friendly with other dogs to stay in our home. Meeting your dog beforehand is a must before they board or come to doggy day care with us to make sure they are ok with my dogs and to understand their needs properly. I mostly work from home, giving me plenty of time to focus on your dog’s needs. I’m available on weekdays and weekends for consistent, flexible care. I have a secure fully fenced garden and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company, and can easily crate your dog if needed. My dogs are treated like family, and yours will be too!

About: Hi! I’m a reliable, caring dog lover who works from home part time and spends the rest of the week as a stay at home mum, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. My toddler is with me most weekdays (he attends nursery two days a week, increasing to three days from September), so I’m looking after dogs that are friendly and comfortable around young children. He has been brought up around dogs and is always supervised, ensuring everyone stays happy and safe. We have a lovely open plan downstairs where dogs can relax and feel at home, along with a secure, good sized garden for outdoor play and toilet breaks. We’re also lucky to have beautiful local walks nearby, as well as secure dog fields just down the road that I can book, giving dogs a safe space to run, play, and burn off energy. Every dog is different, so I’ll always follow their usual routine and give them the care they need, whether that’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax. I’ll treat your dog like one of the family and keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in safe and loving hands. I’m a stay at home mum to my toddler and work part time from my beauty room in the garden, so I’m home for most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog attention and company. I occasionally do freelance work, but this is only on odd dates and isn’t regular, so I can usually be very flexible with bookings. I’m available for plenty of daytime care and can work around your dog’s usual routine as much as possible. I have a secure, fenced off garden and an open plan downstairs space where your dog can feel comfortable and at home. I have a lovely, friendly dog who enjoys having a playmate but is also very happy to relax and snooze in the sunshine. We have some lovely walks close by, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime and exploring. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and give them lots of love and attention while they’re with me.
About: My boyfriend and I are huge dog lovers and would absolutely love to have a dog of our own one day, but we’re holding off for another year (we also love our holidays!). In the meantime, we love opening our home to four-legged guests! We regularly look after his brother’s dog and my parents’ dog (both pictured) - who we used to live with before we moved in together. so we’re very used to different personalities, routines, and plenty of cuddles. Your pup will be treated like part of the family, with lots of love, playtime, walks and a comfortable home environment while you’re away. We can’t wait to meet them! I regularly work from home so your dog will have all-day company. I’ll take them on a morning (8am) & afternoon (5pm) lead walk. Please note i’m not comfortable letting dogs off the lead until I’ve known them for a considerable amount of time and trust their recall. We have a good sized garden, in the summer I’m happy to leave the patio doors open so they can come and go as they please whilst I work upstairs. Dogs are welcome and even encouraged on the furniture. My boyfriend would prefer for dogs to sleep down by the side of the bed, but I cave to puppy eyes easily 🤭 We have a fenced and locked garden. We are tidy couple so rest assured there won’t be anything left out for your dog to chew/choke on. We can crate your dog if you prefer. However if I were to nip out I’d be happy to leave them in the down stairs front room and kitchen area as it’s hard floor (opposed to carpet upstairs). Our house is very quiet other than the occasional doorbell ring from a deliver driver.

Whether it’s providing daily walks, feeding, playtime, or administering medications, I treat every animal like my own. I have experience with both high-energy pups who love long walks and older pets who need a gentler approach. I’ve worked with pets of all sizes and temperaments and am comfortable following detailed care instructions. Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priority. I’ll make sure they feel loved, entertained, and cared for while you're away! Im currently self employed therefore I am available whenever your pets need taking care of. I can do anytime weekends or weekdays. Please feel free to contact me any time I am very versatile in what you would want be to do as I understand everybody has there own certain way of how they care for their animals.
About: I have grown up in a home caring for many animals including dogs, cats, chickens, and more. I have recently relocated from Surrey and have availability to take on new clients. I previously volunteered at a dog rescue in Portugal. I loved my time there! The experience has made me comfortable around dogs of all sizes, abilities, and temperaments. I am currently working privately as a carer. My hours are casual so I am very flexible with my availability and can be available at short notice. I would prefer to look after pets in their own home. I can stay with them all day or I can do regular check ups.
“Justine was absolutely brilliant with our dogs, she is extremely caring and thoughtful and kept us up to date on our dogs stay and what they were doing daily, Justine is also extremely experienced in training dogs and caring for them. Justine also provided us with some training and behavioural help during and after our dogs stay which has helped immensely. I would not want my dogs to go to a better home from home and will definately be booking again !!”

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
