“Annabel was very friendly from the start. Straight away I felt comfortable when we first met on our get together prior to our booking. Whilst looking after our girls, Annabel sent numerous photos whilst out and about and at home. I would thoroughly recommend Annabel and will definitely book her again to look after my girls”

“Robert is absolutely brilliant. He is so kind and caring and really knows so much about dogs and the care they need. Our little dog was so happy with him for a few days and he sent us lots of photos and videos so we didn’t need to worry. 5 star care. We will be re-booking soon! Thanks again Robert,”

“It was my first time using Cathy and her adorable golden retriever Stan. We initially met to see if Lana was comfortable there. When we returned for Lana to stay, she happily walked into Cathy’s driveway. Cathy sent me pupdates while Lana was with her. At no time was I concerned about Lana. In fact, my plans changed and Cathy kindly extended Lana’s stay for me at short notice which was so very kind and helpful of her. When I picked Lana up, although she was happy to see me, she was in no rush to leave. Lana, and in fact, myself, were treated like a member of the family. I know for a fact that Lana was not distressed as she licks her paw raw when distressed. Lana was with Cathy for nearly 24 hours and her paw was perfect. I will definitely be using Cathy (and Stan) again. X”

“Amadeusz kept me updated the whole day with Paddy. He not only walked him but did activities (fetch/ brain stimulation treat games) - Paddy came home wrecked after a super fun day! Will defo be using him again. ☺️”

“Claire was able to provide excellent care for our spaniel who is 12. We were reassured that he was being well cared for and we were updated on him each day. He enjoyed ot so much he did not want to come home! Thanks Claire!”

“Bianca is absolutely amazing. She is so calm, welcoming and made me feel completely at ease leaving Betsy with her. She sent me updates every day and I could see how happy Betsy was there which made me relax. Thank you so much I would highly recommend to anyone and I will definitely be using again.”

“I left my precious Taco who is 9 weeks old with Patricia. She was fantastic! I know Taco is a bit of a handful but Patricia was very caring and understanding regarding his puppy stage. I was nervous at first to leave him with a sitter. But she embraced him with loving arms. Whilst I was away she sent me photos and kept me up to date, which was very comforting to see that he was happy and in very capable hands. I loved Patricia's terminology to advise me that Taco had the Zoomies. That made me chuckle as I knew exactly what she meant. She was great I 💯 recommend.”

“Anita is the ultimate dog sitter! She is extremely caring, vigilant and always reachable for updates, whenever she takes care of my dog Lola. In fact she's been the only dog sitter who knows how to quickly calm Lola down, soon after I've left her. Anita is also a truly wonderful person, sincere, polite and respectful, in every possible way. Lola loves her!”

About: Myself and my partner Chip, love dogs. Since I was born I have had dogs as pets. These have been small and large dogs, such as Jack Russell, Basset hound to a golden retriever. I prioritize creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment, ensuring every dog feels comfortable and cherished. What sets me apart is my genuine connection with dogs, attention to detail, and commitment to treating them as part of the family. My partner chip has had a family dog, which was a staffy/cross. My names Kirsty I work full time, and my partner Chip also works full time. So during the week it can be tricky. However we are available during the weekends to care, play with and walk your dog. We have a small garden which is fenced off. We also have access to a larger green area for the dogs to enjoy. We love going for walks in the local fields and woods. We do not have any other pets at home.
“Will and his wife were very friendly and welcoming on arrival to drop off Tony. They did everything we asked of them whilst he was in their care. They coped well with him being unsettled in a new place on the first night and it sounds like he settled right in after that. We will use them again when in the area!”

“All through out Roxy's stay by Evelina we were sent photos and updates on a regular basis and for that we are very grateful. Upon picking up Roxy it is very good to know she was a pleasure to look after and she made friends with Evelina and Hacker. Thanks again for looking after Roxy.”

Our dog had the best weekend away. He got treated like part of the family (as always). I'm always nervous leaving our pup but knowing he's in the best hands always makes me feel at ease. Would recommend to anyone, thank you so much for taking such good care of him!!

Briony's communication was excellent from start to finish, and she kept us updated throughout the weekend with regular messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Our dog is quite nervous around new people and in unfamiliar environments, but Briony made her feel right at home. She also got on well with Briony's two dogs. It was clear she was well cared for, comfortable, and happy during her stay. We would definitely recommend Briony, thank you again!

Amadeusz was a fantastic sitter for our staffy Stella. From the first moment we met, we knew Amadeusz is a responsible, caring, engaged and an amazing person in general. We used other sitter before, but leaving Stella with Amadeusz was easiest decision by far. We received regular updates witch was reassuring and comforting also a fantastic thing to see how Stella enjoyed spending time with Amadeusz.

Robert was fantastic! I was concerned as our dog Guinness can be reactive around other dogs. Robert is so calm that Guinness just immediately fitted right in with the other dogs, especially Robert’s dog, Archie. He kindly sent regular updates and videos so we were completely relaxed knowing Guinness was in good hands. I just wish we lived closer so we could let him stay with Robert every time we are away. Highly recommend!!

Anita is the ultimate dog sitter! Lola loves her!

Lana was, and has been, amazing. She has assisted me very much in my efforts to alter the booking and has been nothing but accommodating. My dog, Penny, spent 2 weeks with her, her partner and their two dogs. I had met with Lana and the dogs prior to the holiday and she proved to be a very organised and experienced dog owner. I had daily updates whilst away but felt completely reassured that my precious pup was being looked after as well as I would have done if I had been there. On collection Penny looked happy, well and relaxed. It was a complete weight from my mind that whilst I was away that any issues or problems Lana was completely able to have dealt with might that have been necessary. I now know that on any event of needing dog care she is there, which is extremely comforting. Thank you Lana, and the dogs, for making Penny such a happy girl whilst I was away. Many thanks Sue Gearing (& Penny of course!) 🙏🤗

Amanda has looked after our dog twice now and twice he's ran in super happy and content. Our dog actually had 2 torn pads, of which both had been bandaged up, Amanda was still happy to have him and took great care of him, kept him distracted from pulling off his bandages and even changed them in the morning. I honestly couldn't feel happier and more content leaving my dog in Amandas care and would recommend to anyone!

I left my precious Taco who is 9 weeks old with Patricia. She was great I 💯 recommend.

Celine was amazing with Coda. He loved his stay and even got to run off leash in a field for the first time! Being a rescue, I was nervous about leaving him but Celine put all my worries to rest, sending constant updates and even teaching him a new trick. Coda loved his stay!

Sabina looked after Teddy so well and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly attentive, took him on regular walks, and made sure he was comfortable and happy the whole time. We really appreciated the frequent updates and photos, it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Teddy looked like he was having the best time! We’d absolutely book with Sabina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Claire and her lovely family. They had our 4.5-month-old working cocker spaniel, Enzo, for five nights and took such fantastic care of him. From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease. Claire, her husband and their adorable 2.5-year-old embraced the full madness and energy of a young puppy! Enzo was walked multiple times each day, given loads of attention, and clearly treated as part of the family. Their beautiful 4-year-old working cocker spaniel, Annie, was the perfect companion. She kept Enzo on his toes, helped teach him a few tricks, and looked like she genuinely enjoyed having him around. We received regular updates and could see how happy and settled he was, which meant the world to us. Enzo came home tired, content and very well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Claire to anyone looking for a caring, experienced and genuinely lovely dog sitter. Thank you again for looking after our boy so brilliantly!

I was put at ease straight away with a visit to Bettina’s with Bosco prior to his stay. During his stay Bettina kept me updated with how Bosco was doing. He was walked regularly and on collection it looked like he enjoyed his stay. Very happy with the care Bettina provided.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
