I currently work from home on Tuesdays to Fridays from 08:30 to 17:30. I can also be flexible with my hours around meetings. I have to go on site once a month and as this isn't nearby I am away for a few days but other than this I don't have any other major commitments.

I have a fenced garden and have stair gates and barriers that can be used to keep your dog in a secure environment including away from the front door if needed.

I have caged rabbits in my garden so I'll need to know if this is going to be a problem with your dog. It doesn't mean I can't look after them it might just mean I have to keep them on a lead when outside. Please also let me know about any special needs or behaviours that you dog has ahead of time.
Ein typischer Tag
I enjoy playing with dogs and using games, training and exercise to keep them stimulated. I live right by Castle Park in Colchester and am within a short drive of many other lovely dog walks (The Wick, Highwoods, Cymbeline meadows etc). I work from home but can be pretty flexible with my hours so I normally work playtime and walks around my meetings (though my colleagues are always happy to say hello to any canine friends I am looking after!) I also enjoy a canine cuddle on the sofa (or the floor if you would rather I kept them of the sofa) to relax in the evening.

Dog lover looking for a new hobby or change career

I have had dogs for most of my life and as a teenager my mum bred Labrador puppies and I supported her in looking after the dogs and the puppies from birth till they went to their new home. I have also dog sat for a family friend with a spaniel in their home whilst they were away on holiday. Over the last couple of years I have been a puppy raiser for the Guide dogs, looking after one of their puppies for 14 months, from 8 weeks old, to when they are ready to go into the training centre. This has included doing the normal basic training including recall and food manners, and socialisation with the puppy as well as attending puppy classes and taking the puppy to various different places (e.g. cafes, trains, buses) to get them used to different environments). I am now helping with boarding puppies for them, looking after puppies for short periods to support other puppy raisers. I have also recently finished looking after a friend's dog long term (2-3 months) whilst they were looking for a new home for them.

We are so grateful to have found Hannah! She stayed at ours for 14 days to take care of Ted and Toby, our two German Shepherds, and made our holiday so comfortable. She was great at taking them out and kept us updated with regular photos. Coming home to a spotlessly clean house and completed laundry was such a wonderful bonus. Hannah is a stellar house sitter—trustworthy, kind, and excellent at what she does!. I would not even think twice to recommend. Excellent Excellent Excellent.
Hannah is just lovely, we got on really well and she made me feel relaxed and welcome as soon as we met. Otto adored her and had the best time, lots of fabulous walks and swimming too. He has stayed with Hannah twice and we will definitely be booking again.
Arlo has the best time with Hannah. It is wonderful to leave him with someone who clearly adores dogs.
Hannah was a great host for our dog, she kept us up to date regularly and was happy to answer any questions during the stay. Would recommend.
