I also previously worked as a veterinary nurse for the RSPCA, giving me valuable experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. In her final years, she became very ill, which gave me extensive, hands-on experience in specialized senior care and administering medical treatments, including oral tablets, liquid solutions, and eye drops. Throughout my life, I have also owned and cared for many cats.Beyond my own pets, family members, friends, and neighbors have regularly trusted me to sit, feed, and look after their dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am a very active person, so I am always excited for long walks and engaging playtime. I am also happy to help with essential grooming, such as brushing and safe nail trimming. Your pet will receive the highest level of responsibility, love, and dedicated care! I am currently not working, which means I have a completely flexible schedule and can dedicate all my free time to your pet. I am available at any time by prior arrangement, allowing me to provide constant attention, timely feeding, and long walks whenever your dog needs them. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I have plenty of space in my home and a secure, fenced garden where your dog can play safely. About: What on earth is a kahu I hear you ask - a kahu is a Hawaiian word for someone who acts as a guardian and protector of precious things, including furry souls. I have 35 years of experience caring for and loving all kinds of furry friends (including some unexpected rescues) dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, a squirrel, a cockerel, cockatiel and budgies and horses. Some of them all at once! I work from home mostly, (set office day once a week), and so I have the capacity and time to take care of other furry friends alongside Blue and Libs (my two rescues adopted as puppies, now almost 8 and 5 years old). I have a fenced garden and a home-from-home approach to caring for guests. Blue and Libs are both spayed and vaccinated and are used to meeting new friends, although an intro beforehand is always a good plan to make sure everyone is happy. Unfortunately, we can't help with cats as Blue and Libby are unsure how they feel about feline friends and it's important that everyone feels safe here.

About: I am new to rover but have lots of experience with dog sitting. Apart from caring for my very own Cavapoo, Teddy, I have regularly looked after my family and friends pets too. Dogs have always been a part of my life and always had one in my home so I have a lot of experience from owning my own pets. I used to have a shar-pei and a Staffordshire bull terrier. I work from home so it enables me to give your pet all the attention they need, some company with plenty of cuddles and lots of playtime! My dog would also love a friend for the day or the night too. I love all type of breeds, big and small. To make sure your furry pet is comfortable, I am happy to meet them before hand and will ensure you are kept regularly updated with photos too. Any questions feel free to message! I currently work from home and can offer regular toilet breaks with a big enough garden available and huge greenery / fields near by so your furry pet will get enough exercise too. I have a fenced garden which is safely secured. If you prefer to keep your pet crated, I do have one available. In addition, I have a 16 month Cavapoo of my own who will ensure to keep your pet company. My pet is allowed in every room of my house, no rooms are restricted so will ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

My Border Terrier can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, which has given me a good understanding of how to support dogs who need a bit more patience and reassurance. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. My days follow a calm, consistent routine that balances activity and rest. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure dogs are happy in the environment and get along well with my two dogs. I’m only able to accept dogs that are friendly and well socialised, and am happy to accommodate exclusive bookings upon request. I can also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy, settled and well cared for.

I understand the importance of routine, especially when dogs are in a new environment, and will ensure they are cared for exactly as you request with plenty of photo updates throughout the stay. I totally understand the desire for your dogs to feel loved and cared for when you are away - rest assured they will be doted on! We have 2 friendly female resident dogs who love having doggy mates, Bonnie (7 yr old cockapoo) and Inka (3 yr old Frenchie), so your dog will have some canine company. I'm currently on maternity leave and have plenty of time to be with your pup and give them lots of attention, cuddles and exercise. My husband works from home 100% of the time, so there will always be company for your dog. I have a secure, large fenced garden with plenty of grass and space for playing. It is clean and hazard free, and easily accessible from the kitchen.
