“Futon isn't necessarily bad with children, rather, he barks because he wants to play with them. Ideally, I might have chosen without kids, but I also wanted to create opportunities for Futon to interact with kids. When I found out that Kevin's home was nearby and reached out, he kindly said "Let's give it a try", and I truly appreciate his willingness to take on the challenge. This boarding expense was a trial run in preparation for a longer stay in the future. Since it was the first time leaving my dog with someone else, I was nervous. However the moment I met Kevin, I felt reassured by his warm and friendly personality. “Sherlock has stayed with Arpana a few times over the past couple of weeks while we had lots of family visiting for a wedding. We’ve never really felt comfortable leaving Sherlock before, but after seeing Arpana’s profile and how much of a dog lover she is, we decided to give it a try — and we’re so glad we did. From the very first meeting, Sherlock took to Arpana and her family straight away. She kindly welcomed him into her home when we dropped him off, and it was clear how dog-friendly and welcoming the environment was. Each time we brought him back, he would pull eagerly on his lead and sniff his way right up to the door, excited to see them again. A big part of that is down to her children, who clearly adore dogs and were wonderful with Sherlock — he had the best time playing, especially with her daughter. She was also very patient with our many questions and flexible with timing, which we really appreciated. Overall, the experience has made us feel so much more comfortable about leaving Sherlock with a sitter. “What can I say from start to finish Bilqees has been absolutely amazing, quick and friendly in communication and from the beginning I felt reassured that Ziggy was going to stay in a happy and welcome family home. Upon arrival Ziggy was a bit feisty with the other dogs but Bilqees and her husband reassured me she’d be fine and she was settled in no time and that same evening I already received my first update included a few pics. Throughout our vacation Bilqees kept us posted with lots of great pictures and at the end when I arrived to pick her up I was met with a very happy and content dog. We cannot recommend Laura highly enough! ❤️ This was our first time leaving Rolo, and as he is still so young, we were understandably quite nervous about leaving our new baby. From the moment we met Laura, she was so welcoming, kind and caring, and we immediately felt that Rolo was going to be in the best hands. Rolo had the most amazing time! Laura kept us updated throughout our holiday with daily messages, updates and the cutest photos, which really put our minds at ease and made being away from him so much easier. It was lovely seeing how happy and settled he was, and he even made a little bestie while he was there, which was absolutely adorable! 🥰🐾 We wanted someone who would genuinely care for Rolo as if he were their own, and Laura did exactly that. You can really tell how much she loves and cares for the dogs she looks after. If I could give 10 stars, I would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bilqees and her family were absolutely amazing with our dog Muni! From the very first meet and greet, we knew they would be the perfect family and home for him to stay with. Muni stayed with Bilqees and her family for six nights, and we received daily updates and photos, so we always knew how he was doing. It was clear that Muni felt completely at home, and we knew he was being loved and well looked after. 🥰 Bilqees made us feel so at ease and gave us complete confidence that Muni was in the best hands. Loretta looked after our boy Dodge overnight. We arranged a visit before hand to meet, discuss arrangements and see if it was a good fit. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
