“Henrietta was absolutely amazing with Percy. She took such good care of him and the joy and love of dogs shines through from her. I felt so reassured leaving Percy with her - she clearly devotes a lot of time and love to the dogs she looks after. She kept in touch regularly with updates and was so thoughtful and clearly cared a lot about Percy’s welfare. Her communication was amazing from start to finish. Honestly I can’t thank her enough and would happily leave Percy with her again anytime.”

“Very pleased with Anida, she took excellent care of Dolly and kept me up to date all day! Dolly looked like she was having an absolute ball and was smiley and happy in all the photos! Would certainly use her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! ❤️”

“I felt very comfortable leaving Hetty with Diana. She also has a lovely dog so was great company for Hetty. Diana and her husband made sure that Hetty felt safe and comfortable the whole time and I had daily updates, photos and videos. Would definitely leave Hetty with Diana again.”

“Diana A. has looked after Coco like she was one of her own family. Coco has been enjoying lots of walks, in the forest, seemed especially captivated when she saw a swan! Coco made friends with all Diana's family including Gecko, who has regularly gone on walks along side her. Diana sent regular, daily updates, photos and video clips to show me Coco was having fun. Diana ensured Coco was kept cool in this very hot weather too. While Coco was with Diana, Coco felt at home, enjoying her food and sleeping well...i could see from the updates Coco also enjoyed playing with Diana's daughter with her rope toy! Coco loves to play 'tug of war'! Coco has had a very happy holiday with Diana and the family. I would highly recommend Diana as she treated Coco with so much love and care...giving her plenty of attention. I'm sure Coco would love to holiday again with Diana..next time we go away!”

“Maria had a lovely time with Crumpet and came back super happy! Maria sent us lots of updates and photos which was great and was really quick to respond to us. We will book again!”

“I can't recommend Jeanett highly enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog, Lucy. From the moment we met, I could tell she had a genuine love for animals and a professional approach to pet care. Every day, she provided me with detailed updates on how Lucy was doing, including pictures and videos, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Lucy was happy, well-exercised, and clearly very well taken care of. If you're looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, Jeanett is the best choice.”

“Giedre is a wonderful dog sitter! She made my dog Judy feel right at home from the start. It was obvious she felt happy, comfortable and really enjoyed her stay. I came back to a relaxed content dog which gave so much peace of mind. I'd happily trust Giedre with my dog again and can highly recommend!!”

“Heather was an amazing support. I know Ivy was in safe hands and she came back tired which means she was busy, had lots of fun and made a fuss of. Heather was easy to communicate with which makes the whole progress so easy. Thank you!”

About: I think taking care of pets are a pretty serious job, cause they are part of someones family and dogs as cats have to be treated with love and care to make your job well. And also it's such a fun activity to do walk with pets. I'm available at the moment to work part time and temporarily these months. All weekdays and if you want weekends as well until 6pm. Preferably not every day, maybe on Tuesday I couldn't because of my studies, but I would love to take care of your pets when you need it. I could walk your dog or care for your cat at home if that is more convenient for the owner, depending on how would it be the circumstances
“We left our dog Bailey with someone outside of our family for the first time in 13 years, so we were naturally nervous. Very quickly we were put at ease as Anke was brilliant with Bailey and he absolutely loved his stay. We were sent picture updates the whole time and would highly recommend Anke to anyone looking for a pet sitter. We will definitely be using Anke again.”

“Xiaoyi took great care of our dog Frankie over a long weekend. She sent regular photos and updates, and was very attentive throughout. Excellent service — we’ll definitely be back!”

“We had to book Yushi last minute and she was absolutely wonderful!! Every night we got a debrief of how the day went with Freddy including photos ☺️ It gave us such reassurance that he was in great hands and having a blast. So grateful and will definitely be back!”

“Ella and Ed have been a pleasure in boarding my River. River is an energetic, fun loving and affectionate staffy who can be a handful sometimes but took to Ella and Ed immediately! I was sent photos and communicated with daily and River loved the attention! She has come home knackered which is a good sign she had a blast. I definitely recommend, and defintely will be booking again. 5 stars across the board from me and River!”

This is an amazing doggy sitter!!! We recently left our 12 year-old Pepper with Fay, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. As an older dog, Pepper loves a calm, caring environment, and that’s exactly what he found. Meeting Luisma, their lovely 15 year-old dog, was a huge reassurance for us and a perfect match for Pepper. It was clear from the start that Fay understands and genuinely cares for senior dogs. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Pepper came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care Pepper received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fay to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy doggy sitter. Will definitely book again. Thank you so much for everything xxx

We had a fantastic experience with Madalina caring for our 5-month-old puppy. She was incredibly responsive, keeping us updated with frequent pictures and even a video call, which helped keep both us and our puppy calm. Our little one felt comfortable and happy in her care, enjoying exploring her flat and the nearby areas. She ensured regular park visits that kept our puppy engaged, active, and joyful. We truly appreciated her attention, care, and professionalism, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter.

Lauren looked after our puppy for the night and she was absolutely wonderful. As soon as I met her, I could see how much she loves dogs and she put me at complete ease. She took a lot of time to listen and to ask questions to ensure she could give the best care possible. It was a really hot day and night when she looked after him which is a big commitment but she kept him safe and cool and I knew he was in safe hands. Lauren is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter and I would highly recommend her. Thank you so much Lauren.

Reuben stayed with Sarah and Liv for a weekend and had the best time. He was really settled there (which we could tell from the photo updates). They were very attentive with him, and enjoyed park and pub times together, also with their lovely dog Saffy. We would definitely recommend and be rebooking in the future

We had a good experience with Seema. Communication was clear and consistent, and Leiya was comfortable and well cared for during the stay. We appreciated the updates and photos, which helped us feel reassured while we were away, especially because Leiya was poorly before we left. Seema was very caring we were happy Leiya bonded well with Seema and her children. When we returned, Leiya was happy and content. Overall, a reliable service and we’d happily leave with Seema again! ☺️
Sarah was great with Nala. She kept me updated, sent really nice photos, and Nala looked very happy with her. Nala’s season actually started the day she arrived, which made things a bit more difficult than expected, but Sarah handled it really well and was very accommodating throughout. Really nice person, easy to communicate with, and I’d definitely leave Nala with her again.

Joel and Yesha took excellent care of our old girl! They gave her lots of love and let her wander the park to her heart's content while ensuring she was kept safe. They also always had lovely photos and vids to share with us, and answered all our questions and excessive worrying very calmly. I highly recommend leaving your dog with them, and I'm sure I'll do it again next time we're travelling!

We needed a dog sitter who we could feel confident in as we were going away for a month. We certainly found that and more with Maria and her family. It has been like home from home for Pippa - Maria’s regular photos and updates showed us just how settled she was and I wasn’t at all worried while we were away. They treated her as if she was their own dog - and looked after her so well. I certainly know where to go if we need reliable care for Pippa in the future and I recommend Maria wholeheartedly. Thank you for everything Maria and family 😀

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
