“Thanks so so much Jessica! You took such great care of Kenzo and I really appreciated all the updates and photos while I was away. He came home relaxed and happy and I can tell he’s been well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️”

“Jimbo had a lovely time with Brian. I was sent lots of updates during the day and overnight. I would definitely leave Jimbo with Brian again. It was clear he loved having Jimbo, and also dropped him off in the morning! Great sitter ☺️”

“Fantastic boarding experience with George, my dog Griffin really seemed at home and very happy. George helped me out very last minute when I accidentally messed up my dates. Well definitely use again!”

“Owen and his family are wonderful sitters. My dog Ralph has a wonderful time with them, and Owen keeps me updated with photos, videos and messages about how he's getting on. I'm very grateful that he always makes Ralph feel like one of the family, and gives him plenty of time to play, but plenty of time to relax as well. Thank you Owen!”

“Heidi and her partner were absolutely amazing sitters! We were in the process of moving back to the USA and needed someone close to the airport, as many hotels don’t allow pets unless they’re certified service animals. On our way to drop off our pup, we unfortunately ran into a very stressful situation, but Heidi and her partner were incredibly kind and patient until we arrived. They even met us at our vehicle to collect our pup and all her belongings, which was such a relief. When we needed to extend her stay, they were flexible and understanding of our circumstances, making sure everything went smoothly. Our pup was not only well cared for but truly spoiled beyond our expectations. Choosing Heidi and her partner was the best decision we could have made for our pup during this big move. On top of everything, their rates were also very reasonable. We are so grateful for them and would highly recommend their services!”

“The dogs came back happy and obviously very well cared for. Both Nicola and her partner were obvious very good to them and provided constant updates. We will definitely be using them again if we need.”

“Siobhan was perfect! She had my dog for a whole weekend and was amazing with her and so helpful with every little request and sent regular updates. Will definitely book Siobhan again :)”

“Very pleased with Anida, she took excellent care of Dolly and kept me up to date all day! Dolly looked like she was having an absolute ball and was smiley and happy in all the photos! Would certainly use her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! ❤️”

“Ruby had the best time with Jennifer. She had lots of walks, cuddles and play time with other dogs. Jennifer lives closed to a fenced off park which is great for a dog like mine who will run a bit wild in the open! Jennifer sent lots of updates and was truly great with Ruby. Will 100% use again :)”

About: I’m an experienced dog owner who truly understands the routines and care dogs need. What makes my service unique is the combination of exceptional outdoor space (Wanstead Flats is right on my doorstep for long walks and play), flexible working arrangements (if desired, I can take your dog to my office for company throughout the day), and a well-socialised, friendly dog who loves meeting new friends. Your dog won’t just be looked after - they’ll be genuinely engaged and enriched. Whether it’s exploring the extensive open spaces of the Flats, enjoying a calm day at the office, or having a canine companion for socialisation, I can provide a proper home-from-home experience. I’m happy to maintain any specific routines, dietary requirements, or training approaches you’ve established. I treat every dog in my care as I treat my own: with patience, attention, and plenty of affection. I work full time but have flexible arrangements. I typically work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and I’m able to take dogs to the office with me on other days if they’d enjoy the different environment and socialisation. This means your dog will have company and attention throughout the day, every day, rather than being left alone. I’m available for boarding on weekends and evenings. Your dog will be treated as part of my household. I have one friendly, well-socialised dog who’s excellent with other dogs and provides gentle companionship. My home is secure and I’m experienced in managing different dogs’ needs, whether that’s separate feeding times, crate training, or giving space to dogs who prefer their own company. I’ll always follow your instructions on walking routines, including whether your dog should be on or off lead.
“2nd time I left my dog Mimi with Anke. Mimi was spoiled by Anke and her family too. Lots of photos and video during my holiday. Mimi is comfortable with Anke’s family, highly recommend.”

“It was our first time leaving Roary, and Diana made the whole experience stress free. She sent regular updates, which reassured us so much while we were away. From the photos and messages, we could tell Roary was having the best time. We recommend Diana to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

“Left my slightly anxious dog Bailey, with Fernando and Morne for a week while I was on holiday, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care! They were extremely kind and attentive from the start, and their daily updates were not only reassuring but also creative and fun, they really made us smile each day. Bailey was taken on regular walks, practiced his commands, and it was clear that he was being well cared for and loved. When we picked him up, he was happy and healthy. I’m very grateful to Fernando and his family for looking after him so well and would happily leave him with them in the future☺️”

“Dougal recently stayed with Anely and her family for a few days, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Anely kept me updated regularly, which I truly appreciated—it was so reassuring to know that Dougal was enjoying his time with her little dog, Brownie, and bonding with Anely's family. It's clear Dougal has grown very attached to her, which is incredibly comforting. Knowing he's comfortable, happy, and in such safe hands allows me to fully relax when he's with her. Tony was fantastic with Sid while we were away. He sent us lots of photos and videos throughout his stay, which was really reassuring, and always checked in with questions when needed. Most importantly, Sid was clearly very happy and relaxed with Tony and Archie the whippet, and came home looking extremely well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Sid with Tony again and would highly recommend him.

Leunta, is a wonderful kind and caring host who gave Mollie and Mabel a lot of love, care and attention for their weekend stay.. Leunta provided regular updates (pics and videos), made good friends with Leo and went out for walks in the park. I would defintiely use Leunta's services again. Thankyou

Holly was brilliant from the very beginning. She met our dogs in the park before booking, which gave them reassurance straight away and helped them feel comfortable. She was very easy‑going, patient, and answered every question we had. Her communication was excellent — always responding quickly and keeping us updated throughout the stay with daily photos, videos, and messages. She is incredibly reliable, and our dogs came home happy, confident, and clearly very well cared for. She even took extra care of our little one who unexpectedly came into season during her stay, which we really appreciated. Holly went above and beyond by helping us unload and load all the dogs’ belongings — such a thoughtful touch. Her dog Ruby must have been a lovely influence too; our two definitely enjoyed being around her. We would absolutely recommend Holly and will definitely be returning. Thank you again for everything, Holly — you were amazing.

Leiya had a wonderful stay with Israel and was so well looked after. She was taken on many walks and kept well exercised! We really appreciated the regular updates, videos and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’d happily book again and highly recommend!
Karen is an great dog sitter! It was the first time our pup Eileen went to stay so I was a little worried on how she’d settled but Karen sent me lots of pics and videos. It was clear Eileen was being well cared for and was happy. Would def recommend. Thank you!

I couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after my dog for 10 days. Oscar was exceptionally well cared for from start to finish. He has an eye condition that requires treatment three times a day, and she followed his medication routine perfectly, giving me complete peace of mind. She also made sure he had plenty of walks, attention, and affection every day. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him as if he were her own. I really appreciated the updates and knowing he was happy and safe while I was away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Oscar – I will definitely book with you again!🤗

Very pleased with Anida, she took excellent care of Dolly and kept me up to date all day! Dolly looked like she was having an absolute ball and was smiley and happy in all the photos! Would certainly use her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! ❤️

Reuben stayed with Sarah and Liv for a weekend and had the best time. He was really settled there (which we could tell from the photo updates). They were very attentive with him, and enjoyed park and pub times together, also with their lovely dog Saffy. We would definitely recommend and be rebooking in the future

We had a good experience with Seema. Communication was clear and consistent, and Leiya was comfortable and well cared for during the stay. We appreciated the updates and photos, which helped us feel reassured while we were away, especially because Leiya was poorly before we left. Seema was very caring we were happy Leiya bonded well with Seema and her children. When we returned, Leiya was happy and content. Overall, a reliable service and we’d happily leave with Seema again! ☺️

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
