Diana A. has looked after Coco like she was one of her own family. Coco has been enjoying lots of walks, in the forest, seemed especially captivated when she saw a swan! Coco made friends with all Diana's family including Gecko, who has regularly gone on walks along side her. Diana sent regular, daily updates, photos and video clips to show me Coco was having fun. Diana ensured Coco was kept cool in this very hot weather too. While Coco was with Diana, Coco felt at home, enjoying her food and sleeping well...i could see from the updates Coco also enjoyed playing with Diana's daughter with her rope toy! Coco loves to play 'tug of war'! Coco has had a very happy holiday with Diana and the family. I would highly recommend Diana as she treated Coco with so much love and care...giving her plenty of attention. I'm sure Coco would love to holiday again with Diana..next time we go away!

Our dogs, Miso and Kimchi, boarded with Kelly for 1 night. Kelly was fantastic and we are looking forward to using her in future. It's clear that Kelly has a passion for dogs and she quickly built a bond with our dogs and she ensured they had a home away from home. Kelly provided us with regular updates and ensured they managed the recent heat wave well. We would highly recommend Kelly.

Jenny clearly loves and understands dogs. We felt she really listened to us and we felt that she understood how important it was to follow the routines we have put in place to make Daisy feel secure and comfortable. She was warm , welcoming and reassuring. Jenny sent photos and messsges and we could see how relaxed and content Daisy was. We think we have found the ideal person to look after Daisy!

I was lucky enough to come across Rebecca when my summer holiday boarder due to an emergency had to cancel 48hours before we were due to go away! Rebecca agreed for us to come around on short notice and having told her, that my dog is nervous when meeting other dogs at first, she was super professional when meeting us with her lovely dog Archie. That prevented any potential issues further down the line and I had no hesitations dropping my dog off, she settled in immediately. There is no doubt Rebecca took excellent care of her - she shared pics and comments and went far beyond what could be expected of a boarder plus her updates were quite funny too. Archie was super patient with having another dog in his territory, I could not have wished for more. I will very happily use Rebecca again!

Charlie was amazing with George. He was a little nervous when we first left him and Charlie kept me informed of his progress every step of the way. By the end I was worried he wouldn’t want to leave he was so happy. It was like I had left George with a family member. I was really put at ease with Charlie and will most defiantly use her again. This was the First time we have come back from holiday to a very content dog. Thank you xx

About: With nearly 50 years of life experience and a lifelong devotion to dogs, I offer a level of mature, reliable, and deeply intuitive care that only comes with time. My journey as a dedicated pet parent began 37 years ago when I welcomed into my life my American Cocker Spaniel, named Joy, caring for him deeply throughout his beautiful 16-year life. That cherished bond taught me everything about canine companionship, from the playful energy of youth to the gentle, patient care needed in a dog's golden years.Since then, I have been the trusted, go-to caregiver and dog walker for family, friends, and neighbours, looking after dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. I understand that your dog is a treasured family member, and I treat them with the exact same love, vigilance, and respect that I gave my own. When your dog is with me, you get total peace of mind knowing they are in safe, highly experienced hands, enjoying walks filled with genuine affection, tailored pacing, and heartfelt companionship. **My Services** - Tailored Solo Walks: One-on-one attention, perfect for anxious, senior, or reactive dogs who prefer their own space. - Fun Group Treks: Carefully selected small groups for social pups who love to play and burn off energy together. - Post-Walk Care: Thorough paw-wiping on rainy English days, fresh water top-ups, and a text update with photos sent straight to you. As a full-time teacher, my routine is highly structured, allowing me to offer rock-solid reliability during my free hours. On weekdays, my school day finishes in the mid-afternoon, making me perfectly available for lovely late afternoon and evening walks to break up your dog's day or give you a relaxing evening. My weekends are completely wide open from morning until night, which is when I love taking pups on longer, more adventurous treks. Best of all, during school holidays (half-terms, Easter, Christmas, and the long summer break), my schedule opens up completely, allowing me to offer flexible, full-time daytime care and extra walks exactly when you need them most. My Availability Checklist: - Monday – Friday: Late afternoons and evenings - Saturdays & Sundays: Fully available (mornings, afternoons, and evenings) - School Holidays: Full-time flexibility (Half-terms, Summer, Easter, & Christmas) - Bank Holidays: Fully available for flexible daytime bookings Security & Vetting - Fully Insured: I carry comprehensive public liability insurance specifically for dog walking, ensuring complete financial protection and peace of mind for your home and your pet during our time together. - DBS Certified (Update Service): I hold a fully current, official criminal record check registered on the GOV.UK DBS Update Service, allowing you to instantly verify my background at any time for total peace of mind. - Secure Entry: I handle your keys with absolute confidentiality and always double-check that your front door is securely locked and alarms are set both when I leave and when I return. - Gated Transitions: I ensure your dog is securely on their lead before opening your front door to prevent any sudden slips or bolting. Out on the Walk (The Environment) - Secure Equipment: I always use your preferred collar, harness, and lead, checking that all clips are locked and fit snugly before we set off. - Safe Routing: We stick to dog-friendly local parks, quiet pavements, and secure pathways, entirely avoiding busy main roads and unsafe areas. - Vigilant Socialising: I keep a close eye on the environment to anticipate and avoid reactive dogs, off-lead hazards, or traffic, ensuring your dog always feels safe and unstressed. - Weather Awareness: I constantly monitor the British weather, adjusting our walking pace, seeking shade on hot days, or using shorter routes with indoor mental stimulation if it is freezing or pouring rain. "As an educator, I am deeply inspired by the joy of helping others. Bringing my patience, energy, and care out of the classroom and onto the trails to support local families and their beloved dogs is the most rewarding way I can spend my free time." - Vesna

I felt so reassured leaving Percy with her - she clearly devotes a lot of time and love to the dogs she looks after. She kept in touch regularly with updates and was so thoughtful and clearly cared a lot about Percy’s welfare. Her communication was amazing from start to finish. Honestly I can’t thank her enough and would happily leave Percy with her again anytime.

About: My main hands on experience is with cats (I had my own cat for 3 years), so I’m very confident with feeding, litter routines, play, and understanding cat body language. With dogs, while I haven’t owned one personally, I’ve spent a lot of time around friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable with friendly dogs, basic lead handling, and following your routine exactly as you prefer. Experience • Cats: 3 years of daily care with my own cat (feeding, playtime, litter routine, companionship) • Dogs: Comfortable around dogs through friends’ dogs, confident handling friendly dogs and following owner routines • My style: Calm, patient, routines first, lots of attention to comfort and safety I work remotely which gives me a flexible routine. I can take pets out for regular toilet breaks and walks during the day and I’m only a short walk from Roding Valley Lakes for regular outings. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible. I can provide in home care and manage multi pet bookings safely. With two rooms available, I can separate pets when needed (for stress free settling, feeding, or rest), and I’m happy to do individual walks and follow each pet’s routine closely, adjusting to their behaviour, mood, and energy level. My garden isn’t fully fenced, so any outdoor time at home is always supervised and on lead. I’m also only around 5 minutes from Roding Valley Lakes, which is perfect for regular, calm walks and outdoor breaks. For walks, I keep things safe and structured, and I follow your rules on lead use, walking routes, and greetings with other dogs. I’m happy to start with shorter walks while I learn your dog’s routine. For everyone’s safety, I ask that pets are up to date on flea/worm treatment and that you tell me about any medical needs, separation anxiety, or lead reactivity. I only do off-lead time if you’ve confirmed reliable recall and we’ve agreed suitable locations. I’m happy to do a meet-and-greet. Please share any important details like feeding instructions, quirks, and any medical needs. For dogs, I prefer a meet and greet before the first walk, and I keep dogs on lead unless you’ve confirmed reliable recall and we’ve agreed on suitable locations.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and honestly can’t imagine life without them🥰 Over the years, I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I genuinely love getting to know each of their personalities. I’ve cared for a mix of breeds including Cocker Spaniels, Belgian Malinois, Shih Tzus, Springer Spaniels, and French Bulldogs, so I’m really comfortable with different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I treat every dog like they’re my own and just want them to feel happy, safe, and loved while they’re with me 🐶❤️ I work full time during the week, but I’m available from Friday evening (6pm) through to Sunday to spend quality time with your dog. Weekends for me are all about walks, playtime, and relaxing together, making sure they feel comfortable and at home. I always aim to create a calm, happy environment where your dog feels settled and well cared for! I live in a dog-friendly flat with a secure fenced garden and no other dogs, so it’s a relaxed space for your dog to settle in. We’re just a short walk from a large field and close to Epping Forest, perfect for walks and fresh air. I’ll follow your dog’s routine closely, including any diet or medication, to help them feel comfortable and at ease. I take the time to get to know each dog and make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I will always keep you updated with doggy pics and updates throughout their stay❤️

Giedre has been absolutely amazing with Maxine. From the moment they met, I could tell Max was in great hands. She treated Max like a queen and made sure she had an incredible week, with lots of fun walks and adventures. Max even got to join Giedre at a work barbecue, go art shopping, and spend plenty of time exploring the forest, all of which she absolutely loved. One of Max’s favourite things was Giedre’s beautiful garden. She spent hours relaxing between the plants, sniffing around, and playing endless games of fetch. It was wonderful knowing she had so much space to run, explore, and simply enjoy being a dog. Giedre kept me updated throughout the stay with photos and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind. I came home to a very happy, relaxed dog, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Maxine with her again. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of her. I highly recommend Giedre to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy and genuinely lovely dog sitter.

I can't thank Nicola enough for looking after my dog for two nights. He's a very nervous boy, so I was naturally anxious about leaving him, but Nicola was so kind, patient, and reassuring from the very beginning She really took the time to let him settle at his own pace and made sure he felt safe and comfortable When I picked him up, he was calm and content, and it was obvious he'd been genuinely well cared for. Knowing someone treated him with so much patience and understanding made all the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to leave him with Nicola again and would wholeheartedly recommend. FAQs for Boarding - Epping Forest

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Epping Forest on Rover is £37.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 15,048 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Epping Forest. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
