Diana was kind enough to send many pictures and videos as well which meant I could enjoy my time away with no worries :) will definitely be requesting her services again, thank you!”

About: I’ve been in the veterinary industry for 8 years now. I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2020 and now work as an established nurse in a busy practice. I have been pet sitting for many of the team I work with as well as some clients of the practice. They trust me to stay in their houses and to give their fur babies the care and attention they need. I have also fostered many of the stray cats we have in practice till they find their forever homes. Skills I can give medication (oral or subcutaneous) Understanding of live stage needs Nutrition knowledge Emergency care Grooming Handling Nervous cats I work full time in a veterinary practice, but can do drop in visits, walks and feeds before and after work if needed. If needed I can get permission to take pets into work if needed too I have recently moved to an apartment complex with large green spaces for quick walks depending on the little one’s needs. This can be discussed pre booking.
“Diana was fantastic! She took such good care of our dog, Scout, who was very happy, and got on well with Diana's friendly doggie. They were quite a pair and had fun together. Diana's communication was also excellent. She was quick to respond and kept us updated with photos and messages. Highly recommend.”

“We left our bichon Crystal with Jenny for 2 weeks. Jenny is lovely and welcoming. She shared photos of Crystal everyday of their walks plus giving us little updates which we loved. It's obvious to see that Crystal was very happy and well looked after when we picked her up and we were not fully convinced that Crystal wanted to come home with us. Thank you so much Jenny.”

“Our dogs, Miso and Kimchi, boarded with Kelly for 1 night. Kelly was fantastic and we are looking forward to using her in future. It's clear that Kelly has a passion for dogs and she quickly built a bond with our dogs and she ensured they had a home away from home. Kelly provided us with regular updates and ensured they managed the recent heat wave well. We would highly recommend Kelly.”

“Daniela took great care of our 10 year old golden retriever. She kept me updated with photos and videos of the dog out walking and playing. Our dog was clearly very happy with her. I will happily ask Daniela to look after her again.”

“I was lucky enough to come across Rebecca when my summer holiday boarder due to an emergency had to cancel 48hours before we were due to go away! Rebecca agreed for us to come around on short notice and having told her, that my dog is nervous when meeting other dogs at first, she was super professional when meeting us with her lovely dog Archie. That prevented any potential issues further down the line and I had no hesitations dropping my dog off, she settled in immediately. There is no doubt Rebecca took excellent care of her - she shared pics and comments and went far beyond what could be expected of a boarder plus her updates were quite funny too. Archie was super patient with having another dog in his territory, I could not have wished for more. I will very happily use Rebecca again!”

“Charlie was amazing with George. He was a little nervous when we first left him and Charlie kept me informed of his progress every step of the way. By the end I was worried he wouldn’t want to leave he was so happy. It was like I had left George with a family member. I was really put at ease with Charlie and will most defiantly use her again. This was the First time we have come back from holiday to a very content dog. Thank you xx”

“Giedre is a wonderful dog sitter! She made my dog Judy feel right at home from the start. It was obvious she felt happy, comfortable and really enjoyed her stay. I came back to a relaxed content dog which gave so much peace of mind. I'd happily trust Giedre with my dog again and can highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and honestly can’t imagine life without them🥰 Over the years, I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I genuinely love getting to know each of their personalities. I’ve cared for a mix of breeds including Cocker Spaniels, Belgian Malinois, Shih Tzus, Springer Spaniels, and French Bulldogs, so I’m really comfortable with different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I treat every dog like they’re my own and just want them to feel happy, safe, and loved while they’re with me 🐶❤️ I work full time during the week, but I’m available from Friday evening (6pm) through to Sunday to spend quality time with your dog. Weekends for me are all about walks, playtime, and relaxing together, making sure they feel comfortable and at home. I always aim to create a calm, happy environment where your dog feels settled and well cared for! I live in a dog-friendly flat with a secure fenced garden and no other dogs, so it’s a relaxed space for your dog to settle in. We’re just a short walk from a large field and close to Epping Forest, perfect for walks and fresh air. I’ll follow your dog’s routine closely, including any diet or medication, to help them feel comfortable and at ease. I take the time to get to know each dog and make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I will always keep you updated with doggy pics and updates throughout their stay❤️
About: We have had family dogs for the last 11 years, we currently have 2 bearded collies, Merlin (11yrs) and Griffon (5yrs) and they are regular visitors to our new home we recently purchased! There is plenty of room for fun in the fenced garden and other very friendly dogs in the neighbourhood we may bump into on walks. I work from home so there will always be someone around for your furry friend. I work remotely full time, however I have a very active lifestyle and go for walks in the morning, lunch times and evenings. I also have a flexible work schedule and with enough notice can make day time walks work if required Our family dogs do not live with us, they are with my in-laws, however as retired parents should be, they are very keen travellers and we are very happy dog sitters! As mentioned, we have a fenced in garden and lots of surrounding areas for dog walks. I work from home so am around to monitor and keep fluffy friends company.

“Elizabeth provided a good care for our dogs, making sure their needs were met. She even brushed our Lhasa Apso’s hair. Thank you Elizabeth for taking care of our dogs!”

“The dogs came back happy and obviously very well cared for. Both Nicola and her partner were obvious very good to them and provided constant updates. We will definitely be using them again if we need.”

About: We are an active, dog-loving family of five with a large garden, perfectly located right opposite a forest for endless walks and adventures. Our household includes three children (ages 16, 13, and 8) who have grown up knowing exactly how to respect, handle, and love dogs. We have a deep understanding of canine care, having owned our beloved Staffy, Zeus, for 15 years, and more recently, our XL Bully, Axel. While I recently had to make the difficult decision to rehome Axel due to my daughter’s severe eczema, her doctor has recommended frequent, short-term exposure to dogs to help her build up a natural resistance. Dog sitting is the absolute perfect balance for us—it allows us to open our home to furry guests, gives the kids their dog-fix, and ensures your pup gets constant attention, play, and love. For now, I am looking to host smaller dogs as I transition into pet sitting. Important Note: Your dog must be entirely comfortable and safe around cats as we have a cat (lives outside 90% of the time) What I offer: Decades of Experience: Confident and experienced with powerful breeds, energetic puppies, and senior dogs alike. Prime Location: A spacious, secure garden and direct access to forest trails right across the road for perfect daily walks. Constant Company: With a bustling family, there is almost always someone around to play, cuddle, or keep your dog company. Tailored Care: I will strictly follow your feeding, exercise, and training routines to make your dog feel right at home. Your dog won't just be looked after; they will be treated like a cherished member of our family during their stay! There's usually always someone at home, although there may be times when we have to leave for an hour or so. It would be a bonus if your dog is comfortable being alone for short periods Our garden is fully secured with grass and tiled areas. We keep a tidy, pet-safe indoor environment, though we do have a policy of keeping pets off the sofas. We provide plenty of comfortable dedicated pet beds so they still have a cozy place to relax.

Beckie was FANTASTIC! I received lots of photos showing that Griffin was happy and comfy and being given loads of love and attention. Responsiveness was great and generally really happy with everything. Well definitely use again for Griffin, he was clearly so happy there!

Special thanks to Kate who we can highly recommend. Kate and her family were great with our dog Vinnie, it was the very first time we had left him; he can be very anxious but settled in with them very well for the week that we were away. We received daily updates and photos and would be very happy to leave him with Kate again.

Luna stayed with Zivile for 3 nights/4 days. Zivile and her family were brilliant with Luna, she was cared for as if she was their own. Communication was great, we got loads of photo and video updates and Zivile was really flexible with drop off and pick up times. Will definitely rebook in the future ☺️

India was absolutely amazing, I was worried leaving our dogs for the 1st time with a stranger but after meeting with her my mind at ease immediately. You can tell she has a love for dogs. I have just picked them up and although they were happy to see me again they were also sad to be leaving India. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you for taking care of Fifi and Luna. Joe

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
