“Greg was a star, easy to deal with , quick to respond and very friendly and open. Chubbs made himself at home instantly and their chilled approach helped massively with this I think. Chubbs even made other doggie friends whilst there. Chubbs slept for 12 hours straight his first night home so safe to say he had a ball”

“Claudette is very friendly and you can tell she loves dogs. Great communication to keep us aware of what Milo was up to and flexible in changing timings as requirements change. Milo had a great time with Claudette.”

“Thank you Adriana for looking after Millie so well. As a first time having Millie stay away, you made the experience easy and put my mind at rest. All the photo updates reassured me that Millie was settled. Thank you again. Steph and Millie.”

“Courtney took such good care of our dog, she honestly loved her like she was her own. We received regular updates and photos (and even videos) of our dog during her stay. Courtney's home is a home from home with a lovely garden and easy access. When I collected my dog she was so happy and relaxed, she was definitely made to feel at home there. We will not hesitate to use Courtney again in the future.”

“Begona is the most incredible dog sitter. My dog was very well looked after, clearly very happy and I received lots of regular photos and updates. She will be the first person I ask if I need a dog sitter again in the future.”

“Elmo clearly had a lovely time staying with Marina! I am extremely grateful as I always worry about leaving him with some one new but Marina immediately put us both at ease with her calm friendly care. Elmo had lots of walks and came home very happy. Huge thank you to Marina!! :-)”

“Laura was a fantastic dogsitter and provided excellent care while boarding my dog, Moka, over nearly two weeks. Laura sent daily updates with a photo/video, so I could see how comfortable he was and how much fun he was having. Laura’s dog, Bailey, seemed very sweet and was one the first dogs Moka has played with (which was lovely to see on video while I was far away!). Moka enjoyed his daily walks and cuddles on the sofa, and I would absolutely use Laura again and recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, understanding, and proactive dog sitter.”

“Mirco and Adriana watched our rehomed pup for our first trip since adopting her. We were a little nervous since Suki takes time to trust, but she very quickly warmed to Mirco and Adriana. I could tell from the pics that she was totally relaxed and having the best time. They exercised her and played with her so much and I know she will be very excited to see them again. Thank you!”

“Julian took excellent care of Rocky for the weekend. He gave great care and attention and also took the time to work on Rocky’s training. It was clear Rocky felt very comfortable and was well taken care of. Julian also sent lots of updates of how Rocky was doing. I highly recommend Julian to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and professional to care for their dog. Thank you Julian!”

“Kate was excellent. I received plenty of updates about Rolo, with pictures and videos. I feel he was really cared for and he seemed very happy at the end of his stay. Would definitely book again”

About: Since I can remember, I’ve always loved pets and enjoyed taking care of dogs. I’ve spent years caring for friends’ dogs, walking them, feeding them, and giving them love and attention. Although I never had my own dog until I was lucky enough to adopt Cookie, my adorable Frenchie, 3.5 years ago, caring for her has deepened my understanding of how special pets truly are. To me, pets aren’t just animals—they’re family members who deserve love, patience, and care. I feel grateful for every moment I get to spend with dogs, and I’d love the opportunity to care for yours and give them the same love and attention I give to Cookie. I currently work full-time, primarily morning shifts, but I still have plenty of time and energy to care for and play with your furry friends. My schedule allows me to provide attentive care before and after work, and twice a week I am available all day. These full-day availability dates vary from week to week, so I’m happy to discuss my schedule and find times that work best for you and your pet. I have a secure and comfortable home environment for pets to enjoy. While my garden is not fenced, I live just a one-minute walk from a large park where dogs can enjoy plenty of exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures. I also have a friendly French Bulldog who loves the company of other dogs and will be a great companion for your furry friend during their stay.
“Caroline was wonderful - totally understood my dog and what he likes: playing, cuddles, food. Sent me regular updates and was flexible when I had to change my pick up time unexpectedly. Buddy came home tired and happy, and we will definitely be calling on Caroline’s services again. So great to find someone I can trust to look after my dog.”

About: I have always loved dogs ever since I was a child. I always had dogs growing up in Hungary. I will take care of your dog as if it were my own. I have looked after my friends and family's dogs a lot of times, taking them for walks and having them in my home. I'm looking forward to meeting your dog and having fun together. I only have a part time job so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs. I am free seven days a week to look after your dog. I’m fully insured ‼️ I love spending time and playing with dogs. There is a massive park not too far from my house where we can have lovely long walks to spend time.
About: Hi, I’m Beccy 😊 I provide experienced, calm pet care with confidence-building adventures and regular photo updates 🐾I always make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and well looked after in their own home 🐾 I’m fully DBS checked and experienced with dogs, cats and small pets, including nervous and rescue animals. I take a gentle, patient approach and always follow each pet’s routine closely to keep things as stress-free as possible. I offer a range of services including dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting in your home, puppy visits and basic mobile grooming. Whether your pet needs a walk, feeding, company while you’re away, or a little extra care and attention, I’m here to help. During visits, I can also help with small household tasks like bringing in post, watering plants, and keeping your home secure, so you have complete peace of mind while you’re away. I always provide regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and safe 😊 What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give—I treat every pet as if they were my own. I also offer occasional “doggy day out” experiences, where dogs can enjoy longer, enriching outings such as trips to the woods, open spaces, or even the beach. These days are all about fun, stimulation and exercise, and if appropriate, even a little dog-friendly treat like a doggy ice cream 🍦🐾 I also offer a free meet & greet beforehand so I can meet you and your pet, and make sure everything is just right. I work part-time as cabin crew, which occasionally takes me to destinations where I support animal welfare by helping care for stray animals, delivering donations, and working alongside the charity PIPAW (People for the Inclusion and Protection of Animals Worldwide). As I only fly a few days each month, I have a high level of availability for pet sitting, drop-in visits and dog walking, and I always keep my calendar fully up to date. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to providing consistent care for your pets. Animals are truly my passion, and I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own — with patience, love and total dedication.
About: Hi! I’m a responsible, patient, and caring person who truly loves animals. I enjoy spending time with dogs and pets, whether it’s taking them for walks, playing with them, or giving them loving care at home. While I’m still building my professional experience in pet care, I’m very passionate about learning and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate time throughout the week for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets attention and companionship. I also understand the importance of keeping pets comfortable and following their usual routines to help them feel safe and happy while they are in my care. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they are in my care. In my home, I create a calm and clean environment where pets can relax, play, and follow their usual routines as much as possible. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walks, fresh water, playtime, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. In a pet owner’s home, I respect the pet’s routine and the owner’s instructions carefully to help the pet feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I can help with walks, feeding, companionship, basic care, and keeping the space tidy while making sure the pet feels happy and secure. I understand that every pet has a different personality, so I always try to be patient, gentle, and attentive to their individual needs.

“Min looked after our lurcher Buddy for a week while we were on holiday. It was Buddy's first time staying away from home but Min took great care of him. She sent regular photo and video updates of the walks he went on and to show how at home he was in her flat. Min clearly enjoys looking after dogs and her calm and understanding approach to dog care is very reassuring. I would highly recommend Min as a dog minder.”

Evelyn is fabulous. Her children are so cute and gentle and my dog hero had a great time playing with the kids in their lovely garden and long walks in the park. Evelyn kept me updated and reassured even when I was busy on holiday. I will definitely be happy to leave my pup with them again :)

Marina is amazing and Darcy always has the best time! Marina sends us photos and videos regularly so we are always aware of what Darcy has been up to. While Darcy is glad to come home, she definitely has loads of fun at Marina’s so I’m sure she is a little sad to be leaving Marina’s.

Katie looked after our dog Hugo for a week while we were away, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Communication throughout the week was excellent. Katie kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were on holiday. It was lovely to see Hugo having such a great time playing and socialising with the other dogs. When we collected him, he looked happy, relaxed and very well cared for. It was clear that he had been in safe and loving hands. We would highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we will definitely be using her again in the future. Thank you so much!

Beatriz and Jack were wonderful at taking care of our dog Gobi while we were away for a week. They kept us updated with photos and videos and we could see our dog was very happy with them. Our dog even needed some medication and special food from the vet and they were so accommodating by going to our local vet to pick up the meds and food and giving it to her. We will definitely reach out to Beatriz and Jack again to take care of our dog!

Kairo really enjoyed his first stay with Micro and Adriana. From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease. They kept us regularly updated with photos and videos, which was so lovely to receive and gave us real peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout, and it was clear that Kairo was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. He had a wonderful time, and we're sure he'll be excited to visit again. We’ll definitely be booking with Micro and Adriana again soon! 🐾

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
