“Jade took time and trouble to get to know our cat and make sure he was comfortable with her. When she visited she stayed to play with him, give TLC and reassure him, as he isn’t used to being alone (his brother died recently). We could see from the pics she shared and his happy presentation when we got home that all was very good. Really appreciate her kindness and cat-centred approach, and hope she will come again!”

“Michelle has done an amazing job of looking after our pets while we have been away. We are very grateful for the care she has taken. Will definately look to book in the future.”

“We LOVE using Caroline! I can always rely on her, she takes great care of Daphne, she gets so excited when Caroline comes over. I fully trust Caroline to enter my property, feed Daph, walk Daph when I’m not there. She always puts my worries aside and Daphne is always happy when I get home 💕”

“Katie did a wonderful job. She spent time before the booking to meet Dougie and get to know his needs which I really appreciated and helped me feel comfortable leaving Dougie. She was communicative, enthusiastic and reliable. I’d definitely book her again and hope to soon.”

My experience includes: - Dogs from 6-month-old puppies to 14-year-olds - All breeds, all ages – I adapt to each dog's individual needs I work for a defence company (fully vetted) and offer some weekday/evening/weekend walks, drop-ins, house sitting, or overnight boarding (my place or yours). Medication management, gentle routines, personalised care – I treat every dog like my own! I work full-time in a hybrid role (3 days WFH), so I have flexible availability: - WFH days: Extra time for walks/drop-ins, or I can stay at your place (with WiFi access) - Weekdays: Available after 5pm + overnights when needed - Weekends: Free Fri–Sun, all day and night In my North London home: Thoth (my curious indoor Norwegian Forest cat) stays indoors but loves watching garden visitors from the window. Happy to water plants, bring in post, or do light housework too.
“Lucia dropped in to look after our British Shorthair over 6 days and on short notice! She kept us updated throughout, and it was clear they both enjoyed spending time together – our cat warmed to her straight away. Lucia is passionate about what she does, and we’d happily recommend her to others if she’s available. We’ll definitely use her services again. Thanks, Lucia! 😊”

About: Hello! I'm a 38-year-old lifelong pet enthusiast with hands-on experience caring for everything from brand-new puppies and senior rescues to independent felines. These days, I share my life with a wonderful Great Dane—so if you have a large breed, I'm already a pro at handling them! I truly adore pets of all shapes and sizes, though, and I'm just as happy cozying up with a purring cat as I am walking a big dog. Whether you need a reliable daily dog walker, someone to drop in for kitty cuddles and potty breaks, or a trustworthy house sitter while you travel, I’ve got you covered. My goal is to give you total peace of mind while making sure your furry best friends are safe, happy, and well cared for. Because I work night shifts, I have fantastic daytime and weekend availability to care for your pets! Monday through Thursday, I am available from midday until 8:00 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, my schedule is completely open, so I am available all day. On Sundays, I can cover visits and walks from early in the morning up until 8:00 PM. This routine makes me a great fit for lunchtime drop-ins, afternoon walks, and dedicated weekend house sitting. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I am extremely respectful of your space, always double-checking that doors are locked, gates are closed, and the home is exactly as you left it. On walks, I am highly vigilant of our surroundings and ensure collars and harnesses are secure. As a Great Dane owner, I'm confident handling strong pullers and unexpected situations. I also believe in excellent communication, so you can always expect detailed updates and plenty of photos!
“Roxanne was an absolute godsend and I am so grateful we booked her to look after Pippin for the duration of our time away! Pippin tends to be shy and reserved but he warmed up to her quickly and we recieved some lovely update from her about his time with her. She kept to his feeding schedule really well, and we would definitely recommend her!”

“So happy to have found Maria. Her energy is calm which is perfect for my nervous cats. For once, they didn’t run away as they usually do with my previous cat sitter. Maria is brilliant - do book her if you get the chance!”
“Cheryl took such wonderful care of Tyche. Tyche had a few peeing accidents and Cheryl was so patient and understanding about it. She dealt with everything calmly, kept me updated, and I never once felt worried. Would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her! Thank you, Cheryl 😊”

About: I have owned pets since I was young so understand the responsibility of looking after an animal. I grew up with my family staffi x who we adopted around 11/12 years ago, she is a nervous reactive dog so I have experience and some basic training from the rspca in that area. Through out my life I have looked after cats and dogs while my friends or family have been on holiday or away, taking care of their daily needs. I previously experience helping my friend who has her own dog sitting business, assisting with walks and making sure they get exercise, plenty of play time and of course cuddles and treats, doing this is what inspired me to make my rover profile. I currently work part time (tues, wed, thurs) with a charity so I have two free days during the week that I would love to fill doing something I enjoy. With my job I do two days in the office and one day from home so I am able to do weekday stays as long as your pet is able to be left for around four hours two days of the week. Happy to also available to do weekends, arrange with plenty of notice. Every animal is different so I will make it my mission to build a trusting relationship with your pet, tailoring myself to their needs and always following instructions from the owner as they know their animal best.

About: I love animals - I grew up in quite a menagerie, with 3 big dogs (Ridgebacks), a cat, fish, rat, tortoise, and birds! I spent a lot of time around Alsatians growing up (they are one of my fav breeds) and love spending time with and making friends with dogs. I would love to have a dog of my own but unfortunately can't at the moment. I have had a cat for 9 years and am experienced in animal care - I've looked after friends guinea pigs for the past few years when they are away (including administering medication) and also have looked after their dog (who has anxiety and behaviour issues). I am very active and love being outdoors, so if a regular walk/play session isn't enough, I can also take your dog on a 5km run, or even offer a longer exercise session (where I cycle)! I am flexible and attentive, and will adapt sessions to make sure your dog is happy and getting what they need, and that you feel reassured that your dog is in good hands. I am working as a freelancer so can be quite flexible around timings. I'm also available for house-sitting as well to look after your pets when you're away. In your home I will care for your pets the way you ask me to, and will maintain any training/ feeding/ exercise routines you have established.
About: Hi! I’m a 37-year-old dog lover offering a calm, caring home for your dog. I grew up with a lovely Shi-Tzu and two cats, so I’ve been around animals from a young age. I now have my own 4-year-old Sheltie, who is incredibly sweet and gentle. She is naturally shy, so I’ve learned how to handle and support nervous dogs with patience, kindness, and gentle training. Watching her grow in confidence has been very rewarding. I am currently at home full-time, which means your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. I also have a secure enclosed garden with grass for toilet breaks and fresh air between walks. My partner is also home part of the week, and we enjoy going on dog walks together. We understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and I will care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I am always at home, so can take the dog out fairly easily and keep company. We then have a daily walk after work in the evening. I have a enclosed garden with grass for their natural needs, and am walking distance of parks and meadows such as Whetstone Stray and Brook Farm open space.

About: I have over five years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes - providing feeding, walking, medication, and plenty of love. Please note: To keep things running smoothly, I archive requests that haven't received a response. Leaving a request 'hanging' unfortunately removes my profile from search results and prevents others from booking, so I must clear inactive chats to stay visible Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I schedule my day around feeding times, walks, play sessions, and any specific needs each pet has. Whether it’s morning cuddles, midday check-ins, or evening strolls, caring for animals brings structure and joy to my day. It’s something I genuinely love and look forward to. I care for pets with the same love and attention I’d give my own. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s, I stick to their routine - feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs like medications. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and never lonely, keeping communication open with daily updates and photos for peace of mind.

“Ashleigh was great, always going extra mile to insue Tux didn't feel lonely, giving him lots of attention and play time. I have had daily very detailed messages, pictures and videos of every visit which kept me calm and I wasn’t worried about him. Came back to a very chilled happy 😸 and few goodies. Would definitely book Ashleigh again.”

Ashleigh did drop-in visits, morning and evening, for five days and I couldn’t be happier. My cat clearly adores her. She made sure he was kept well fed and watered, and entertained with toys and play. I got lots of lovely updates including videos, and she even left a couple of little personalised gifts. Very highly recommended!

Jade took time and trouble to get to know our cat and make sure he was comfortable with her. When she visited she stayed to play with him, give TLC and reassure him, as he isn’t used to being alone (his brother died recently). We could see from the pics she shared and his happy presentation when we got home that all was very good. Really appreciate her kindness and cat-centred approach, and hope she will come again!

This is our first time using cat sitting service, so we were a bit nervous, but the experience couldn’t have been better. The regular updates were reassuring and it was lovely to see that our cat was so well looked after. Thank you Helen for taking such good care of her and we would definitely book again.

I found Ewelina to be a very good & kind person. She was so thoughtful to send me photos of my cat everyday which gave me such comfort to know my cat was being cared for. My cat is quite elderly & loves contact with people. Ewelina followed all our instructions so well. I shall definitely be using her again next time I need my cat looking after.

She's always a great and reliable cat sitter! Not the first time we booked her, and won't be the last. She always happily looks after our cat, and gives frequent and detailed updates. It's also apparent from the images and videos she sends that our cat absolutely adores her. :)
Cheryl is a reliable and trustworthy cat sitter. She took excellent care of my cat, Coco, while I was away and kept everything running smoothly. It was reassuring to know Coco was in good hands, and I returned home to a happy and well-cared-for cat. Communication was great throughout, and everything went exactly as planned. I am very happy to recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for a dependable cat sitter, and I will definitely use her services again in the future.

Kate looked after my cats for approx 10 days and was absolutely wonderful. She was always on time, very caring, and clearly loves animals. My cats were happy, relaxed, and they warmed up to her so easily. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a reliable and kind pet sitter. 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
