“Ania watched over Miles for a few days, she kept in touch with us, sent photos of Miles daily and also helped us with putting out the bin for collection. We’d definitely use Ania again as we felt she was v trustworthy :) ”

“We recently used Haiqing for our cat Barry, and we’re very pleased either her services. Barry is quite a nervous cat, so we were a little worried about how he would cope—but he got on really well with her. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter!”

“I would have no hesitation in recommending Laura as the purrfect cat sitter for your cat. I was nervous about booking someone to look after my 18 year old cat Sheba, as I had always relied on my family to care for her when I was away. However, Laura put my mind at rest and I knew that Sheba would be well cared for. Through a series of questions and answers Laura knew exactly what routine Sheba was used to; I provided notes and instructions and Laura followed these accurately. She communicated after every visit, asking questions and providing feedback, photos and videos. She developed a rapport with Sheba and as the days progressed I could see that my cat was relaxed and happy in Laura's presence. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough!”

“Chloe was great with my cat. She sent photos and followed my instructions really well. I'm so happy she looked after him. My home was tidy and clean when I got back and Timmy seemed very cosy laying in bed waiting for us to come home. Thank you for looking after him whilst we were away 😊”

About: Animals have been central to my life for as long as I can remember, growing up alongside dogs and cats and developing a genuine passion for their care and wellbeing. I began formally pet sitting and dog walking at 16, and have since built up years of experience caring for the pets of neighbours, family, and friends. I currently have two companions of my own. Gatsby, my two year old cavapoo, and Zelda, my 3 year old cat, both of whom I raised from puppyhood and kittenhood respectively. This means I'm well versed in the particular needs of younger and adolescent animals, from high energy play and socialisation to patience during those early settling in stages. Before Gatsby, my family owned Sancho, our Rottweiler, so I'm equally comfortable and confident handling and walking larger breeds. Having owned my own pets, I know deeply how much our animals mean to us, they're our family. That understanding drives my commitment to providing the same standard of love, attention, and care that I give to Gatsby and Zelda to every animal I take care of. Whether your pet needs a reassuring presence while you're away, regular walks, or simply some extra company, you can count on me to treat them as my own 😁 Having just finished university, I'm currently very flexible and able to tailor my availability almost entirely around your pet's needs. Whether you need early morning walks, daytime check ins, or regular weekly arrangements, I can work around what suits you and your animal best. I'm particularly available throughout the summer and can accommodate bookings at short notice where possible. As I share my home with my own dog and cat, I'm unable to offer boarding or sitting at my own property. This ensures no unnecessary stress for your pet or mine. Instead, I come to you, which I find is often the least disruptive option for animals anyway, as they get to stay in the comfort of their own familiar environment. For dog walking, I'm happy to accommodate early morning walks. Particularly important during these warmer summer months which I know can be tough on dogs. My own dog Gatsby is very friendly and can come along to keep your fur baby company if they would enjoy that. I own my own car, so I'm also able to take dogs to new and stimulating locations such as forests, nature reserves, and open parks, if they're comfortable with car travel and up for an adventure. Am happy to dog sit/walk for long periods of time if so (half-day, or full-day outings depending on the dog). I would accommodate the furry friend entirely on their own needs <3 I'm also open to house sitting depending on location and length of stay. Whatever the arrangement, my priority is always that your animal feels safe and genuinely cared for.

About: Hey! My name is Sena, I’m a lawyer working part time in the city, now based in Radlett where I get to enjoy the outdoors and spend more time around lots of animals. I grew up in a home with several pets, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the years I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, as well as cats and other small animals. I’m confident, patient, and attentive, and I treat every pet as if they were my own! :) At home I have a 14year old ginger tabby cat called Simba, who has been with me since he was a kitten and a 4 year German Shepherd cross Akita named Ralph :) Ralph has helped me build strong experience in handling larger, energetic dogs, I work Tuesday- Thursdays in the city. My partner and I alternate our work from home days so Ralph and Simba are never left alone Your dog will be looked after in a calm, loving home with plenty of attention throughout the day. I have a fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time, plus regular walks in the local open fields here in Radlett for exercise and fresh air. There’s lots of playtime, interaction, and company depending on your dog’s personality and energy levels — whether they’re active or prefer a quieter pace. I’m happy to follow all dietary requirements closely and stick to your dog’s normal routine. Brushing and basic grooming can also be included if needed. To keep things stress-free, your dog will be kept separate from my own dog, Ralph, so they can fully relax and feel at home in a calm environment.
About: Hi, I’m Natalie, a devoted animal lover with more than 10 years of experience walking and caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. Having always been surrounded by pets—both my own and those of friends and family—I understand just how much trust, love, and attention dogs need, especially when their owners are busy. What sets me apart? I’m not just a passionate dog walker; I’m fully committed to making pet care my lifelong career. I'm DBS-checked, insured, and deeply invested in providing the safest and most joyful experience for your furry family member. As a trusted, local companion, I’ll treat your dog like family, ensuring they’re well-exercised, happy, and secure in my care. Let’s make your dog’s walks the highlight of their day! After years of working in an office, I decided to follow my passion: spending my days outdoors, walking, and caring for animals. Stepping away from the desk has given me the chance to bring energy, enthusiasm, and full-time commitment to dog walking. Every week, my schedule is fully devoted to keeping pups happy, active, and well-cared for—whether it's a local walk, a day of play, or simply being a reliable friend for your pet. With a lifelong love for animals and years of experience caring for family pets, I understand the importance of providing safe, attentive, and loving care. In 2008, after extensive research, my family and I welcomed our first golden retriever, Jupe, and in 2011, we rescued Dylan, another wonderful golden. They were best buddies who taught me so much about what it means to truly care for dogs, from their daily needs to understanding their unique personalities. Both were with us for nearly 13 years, and the time spent with them has been invaluable to my understanding of pet care. I’m lucky to have a spacious, fenced-in garden and easy access to beautiful parks and fields nearby, making every walk an adventure and a secure space for play. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a caring, safe, and fun environment that pets thrive in!

These days, I share my life with a wonderful Great Dane—so if you have a large breed, I'm already a pro at handling them! I truly adore pets of all shapes and sizes, though, and I'm just as happy cozying up with a purring cat as I am walking a big dog. Whether you need a reliable daily dog walker, someone to drop in for kitty cuddles and potty breaks, or a trustworthy house sitter while you travel, I’ve got you covered. My goal is to give you total peace of mind while making sure your furry best friends are safe, happy, and well cared for. Because I work night shifts, I have fantastic daytime and weekend availability to care for your pets! Monday through Thursday, I am available from midday until 8:00 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, my schedule is completely open, so I am available all day. On Sundays, I can cover visits and walks from early in the morning up until 8:00 PM. This routine makes me a great fit for lunchtime drop-ins, afternoon walks, and dedicated weekend house sitting. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I am extremely respectful of your space, always double-checking that doors are locked, gates are closed, and the home is exactly as you left it. On walks, I am highly vigilant of our surroundings and ensure collars and harnesses are secure. As a Great Dane owner, I'm confident handling strong pullers and unexpected situations. I also believe in excellent communication, so you can always expect detailed updates and plenty of photos!

About: I have lifelong experience caring for dogs and studied canine behaviour for two years. I am responsible, caring, and consistent in my approach, and I work hard to support positive behaviour. While not a specialist, I have strong foundational knowledge and ensure every dog in my care is well-behaved and well-looked-after. Pet care is a core part of my daily routine. I work full-time as a dog walker/handler, so my days are structured around walks, feeding, training, and providing consistent care. I also have two small dogs of my own—Sheeva (12) and Poppy (11)—which keeps me experienced and engaged every day. Caring for dogs isn’t something I fit in around life. It is my routine, and I truly enjoy giving each dog the attention, structure, and affection they need. I mainly provide care in my own home, where dogs enjoy a clean, tidy, and comfortable environment. There’s plenty of indoor space for them to relax, as well as a fully fenced, safe garden for toilet breaks and supervised outdoor play. I maintain a calm, structured routine and make sure each dog receives the right balance of attention, exercise, and affection. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel secure, welcomed, and well cared for throughout their stay.

About: I am currently at university studying veterinary medicine and it has been my upmost passion to care for animals, with my favourite being dogs. I have/ had dogs in the past with complex needs and have done everything in my power to ensure their needs are being met and they are their happiest self. Currently I am looking after my boyfriends dog, a 1 year old collie (shown in profile picture) and also assist with the care of 3 other dogs at different ages and with differing personalities. Their care consisted of long walks, general health checks, feeding and of course, access to cuddles! I have had a family dog before moving to university, a 7 year old dachshund that has epilepsy and anxiety that I’d work closely with to encourage happiness and decreasing any stimulus. Harper, a collie I am looking after is very outgoing and if off the lead trained. I have worked with her since she was a puppy, encouraging socialisation and recall as well as manners outside and inside the home. She now has amazing recall and I can do things like take food away, brush her teeth etc with absolutely no concerns. If I’d be lucky enough to be chosen to look after your pet, I’d ensure the best care, give you updates about your pet and follow their routine to a T. I’m available most of the time Monday - Friday after 5pm. Wednesday is quiet so mostly available in the day. Weekends available on request but would need request in advance. - Feeding and walking - grooming including brushing teeth and cutting nails - general health checks, fleaing and worming - little trips out, such as dog friendly cafes and beaches - ensure that the animal is only in an area of safety - environment is free of any stimulus and comfort is given if required

I would have no hesitation in recommending Laura as the purrfect cat sitter for your cat. She developed a rapport with Sheba and as the days progressed I could see that my cat was relaxed and happy in Laura's presence. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough!

Mary-Ann is, quite simply, a cat whisperer. Our 12-year-old cat Bert is a rather nervous little gentleman who doesn’t give his affection away easily – but with Mary-Ann, he’s completely smitten. We’ve booked Mary-Ann many times for daily drop-ins in our home while we’re away, and she never fails to make Bert feel like the centre of the universe. The real magic, though, is how she transforms him into a kitten again. Bert, who normally treats toys with polite indifference, suddenly becomes an Olympic-level performer – launching toy mice into the air, executing elegant ballerina pirouettes around feather wands, and even throwing in the occasional somersault for good measure. It’s like watching a one-cat circus, and we’re obsessed. If it’s been a little while between bookings, Mary-Ann always pops by beforehand to reacquaint herself with Bert (and, more importantly, for Bert to reacquaint himself with her). A bit of playtime later and he’s completely at ease again – it’s such a thoughtful touch and incredibly reassuring for us. While we’re away, we’re treated to daily photo updates of Bert living his absolute best life – playing, lounging, and soaking up cuddles. At this point, we’re fairly certain he enjoys his “holidays” with Mary-Ann more than he does with us! We truly can’t recommend Mary-Ann highly enough. She’s warm, kind, and clearly has a special gift with animals. The fact that she’s also trained in animal first aid is just phenomenal and icing on the cake – Bert is always in the safest, most loving hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
