Rebecca was amazing. Really communicative. Loki requires quite a bit of medication but I felt really confident that he was in good hands. He seemed super happy when I got home. Booked again for next week!

Anna was fantastic with our dog Nana, she went above and beyond when walking our dog while I was away and we had a family emergency. I felt very comfortable leaving her with our keys, and she cared for Nana as if she were her own dog. She is extremely capable. She was responsive and gave regular updates. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and will be definitely be using her again.

Anastasia was excellent. She visited before to check everything and followed the instructions perfectly. She took photos of the visit so we could see how the bunnies were and we came home to very happy rabbits.

This was my first time booking with Chloe, and it was such a great experience. When I got back, my cats were incredibly relaxed, which says everything about the care they received. Chloe checked on them twice in one day, which I really appreciated, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommended

About: Hello fellow dog owners, I am NEW on Rover! I bring a genuine passion for animals and their well-being to every visit. Beyond the basics, I’ve got experience in puppy training helping the bundle of joy learn good habits. I’m also comfortable with caring for senior dogs who may have unique needs and require a more gentle approach. You can relax knowing your beloved pet is in capable and caring hands, no matter their age! I am a co owner of a Yorkshire terrier, aged 8, who I dog sit occasionally (since moving out of my mum’s house!). This means I can cater for just your dog, if they are not comfortable around other dogs. I’m currently working on a flexible schedule during the week and free on weekends. Happy to accommodate evenings, or overnight. I value good communication and will give sufficient notice should any plans change. Being a co-owner to a much-loved, playful Yorkshire terrier, I understand the importance of excellent care. I offer a convenient service where I travel to you to look after your furry family member(s) in the comfort of their own home. Equally, they are more than welcome to stay with me in my maisonette. Plus, I have my own car for prompt transportation in case of an emergency.

About: I've looked after a cat since I was very young, through from a kitten to senior and I loved him very much! 😺 My partner and I have recently adopted our first rescue dog together and she's a diamond, I've learned a lot about dog behaviour and mannerisms through training, playing and living with her ❤️ She's got seperation anxiety so I completely understand how important it is to have someone who is communicative and reliable to look after your furry family member. You'll always be well informed if they're in my care and I'll do absolutely everything in my power to make sure they're happy and safe ☺️

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies for over 5 years now. I have always had a dog in my family home. Then i started looking after other people’s pets - from family, friends and then others. I have had them stay with me or stayed at their house in the comfort of the pets home and have fed, played and walked them. I currently work as a nurse and it means i have all evening and weekend to spend time with the dogs. I am also able to provide a toilet break at lunchtime if needed . I have a fence around the garden to keep your dog safe. There are also many lovely fields and walking trails where i live to keep your dog busy on their walks.

About: I have experience caring for many animals including dogs, cats and tortoises through sites such as Borrow my doggy and Trusted House Sitters. Additionally, I have looked after animals with complex needs, requiring regular medicine doses and hand feeding. I'm currently studying biology at university so I am mostly available during holidays and weekends, depending on distance I may be available on Mondays and Wednesdays as well. I will follow any instructions given regarding at home care such as night time sleeping location, recall reliability and toilet break monitoring. I am confident with more boisterous dogs and happy to comply with any rules of your home.

About: I am currently a vet student and my whole world revolves around animals. I have done dog sitting and walking for 5 years now and love it! I am passionate to provide the most loving care for all animals with constant play and cuddles. Due to being a vet student I am in class every week day but I am very happy to spend my time in the evenings and weekends looking after your pets as well as during breaks and holidays. I have done housesitting various times, sometimes for a day and other times up to a week. I always like to meet owners and pets at least once before coming to stay in the house and make sure we’re a good match. It’s important that the animal gets to know me and trusts me before I sit as well as answer any questions beforehand.

About: Lucky enough to have grown up with a miniature schnauzer, teaching him agility skills and tricks as a puppy through to adult also experiencing his transition into senior adult. He passed 6 years ago, but that’s only made me love and appreciate dogs even more <3. Have dog sat little furry friends through to big dogs (such as rottweilers) I currently work full time, working from home Mondays and Fridays. My office is based in Welwyn Garden city and I am there from Tuesday through to Thursday but go out at lunch time and post work for walkies!! I feel like i am just missing a furry friend companion to walk with. Whether you need someone to keep your animal company on Monday/Friday or check in on them regular with belly rubs and walks I would love to provide that service for your furry baby. My weekends are always active and tend to be flexible if you shall require someone to give weekend tickles. I shall bring all the love to care for your pet, and will completely respect any rules/ dietary requirements/ arrangements you might already have set in place for your pet. My ragdoll has taught me to have so much patience, and know it might take some time but am willing to put the work in to ensure your animal gets the love and care he/she needs!

Amber and Harry did an amazing job looking after our cat Buttons. We were kept updated regularly with photos and videos, which really put our minds at ease and were able to enjoy our break away. They both spent time with our cat and she was very comfortable with them both. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend their cat sitting services. Thank You Both 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Dacorum on Rover is £14.95 per Visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 7,617 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Dacorum. About 90% of Dacorum sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
