“Edward and Natalie were brilliant with Peggy. Made sure to familiarise themselves with Peggy's routine in advance, adapted their care to the hot weather, took beautiful pictures that I might well print and were great at keeping me informed more generally. Peggy was clearly really relaxed in their company. Would definitely recommend.”

“Chloe looked after our cocker Link for two nights. Looks like he had a lovely time with lots of great walks and fuss. Chloe made sure to keep us updated and we had every confidence that Link was in good hands. We'd definitely recommend Chloe and I'm sure Link will be visiting again 😊”

“Leanne looked after Bruce, my large mixed bull breed, for 5 nights. From making the enquiry, she was really responsive and we agreed an initial meet, so her and her family could meet Bruce, this went well so we agreed the dates. I dropped Bruce off, and Leann already had experience with large breeds and e collar training. This really put me at ease when I left! She sent .e regulat daily updates and photos sp I could see how settled bruce was with them. Wheb i arrived to collect him, he was playing with Leannes son in the garden, really happy. I would not hesitate to recommend Leanne, she gave Bruce love and time and that made him a happy boy! I would also use Leanne in the future. Thank you so much for looking after my 50kg baby!”

“As usual, Roux loved her relaxing weekend with Evie and Megan. Lots of photos and communication and we always feel happy and comfortable knowing Roux is in safe hands with her favourite people!”

“Fiona is so friendly and welcoming. Instantly my dog felt at ease and set off exploring her new home for the next 2 days. Fiona has a genuine love for dogs and my dog was lucky to have such a lovely person looking after her. Fiona updated me with messages and pictures so I could see how the stay was going. Don’t hesitate to book your dog in for a stay with Fiona, they will be throughly spoilt!”

“Claudia was very flexible and responsive when we booked our small dog in for the day. During the day she sent a video which was reassuring. Mooki was very contented at the end of the day. We were very happy we chose Claudia and would do so again.”

“Hannah was wonderful! She gave us regular updates over the weekend & we could see that Bobby felt comfortable with her & in her home. We will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much for looking after him!”

About: I’ve been a dedicated dog sitter for the past 2 to 3 years. What started as looking after pets for friends and family naturally expanded into helping out others in need of reliable care. I’ve recently relocated to Berkhamsted and am excited to start building a fresh local network here! Because I work from home three days a week and have full weekend availability, I can offer your dog plenty of consistent company, cuddles, and supervision. If this sounds like a great match for your routine, please feel free to reach out—I'd love to chat! I work from home three days during the week and have full availability on the weekends. My schedule is flexible, meaning I can easily structure my day around your dog's needs. Your furry friend will always have plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day I live in a secure ground-floor flat featuring a private, fully fenced back garden with direct access to my home. Safety is a top priority: my entry features double doors to the outside, and the back garden has a secure, locked gate for complete peace of mind while your dog plays outside.
“Debbie looked after our dog Winston for a weekend and he had a great time. Debbie was really helpful and accommodating with drop off and pickup times, and shared updates with us throughout Winston’s stay. We highly recommend Debbie and would definitely use her again.”

“Mina took care of our spring/collie cross 4yr old over three days. A good summary is our dog did not want to leave! Mina was absolutely lovely with her throughout. Very professional and affectionate towards our dog. Plenty of exercise with quality walks and fantastic communication throughout the stay. Couldn’t ask for more and would definitely recommend.”

“Michelle and Mark are a lovely couple along with their dog Ronnie who is a delight. We met initially for a walk and play in the park. Archie went for his first overnight stay and everything went perfectly, many updates, pics and videos. Already booked in for a weekend stay. Totally recommend.”

“Every time we have left Cork with Roberta, I appreciate her patience and care for dogs, as well as her great photo/video updates. Cork is anxious about a few things, but I'm confident that Roberta always provides a safe place for the dogs in her care to play and thrive while boarding. I am so glad we found her!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats around me since I was a kid, and for years that meant two big dogs and three cats of my own. When I lost them, I missed having that presence and routine in the house, so I started sitting for friends and family. Now I’ve decided to open that up to more people. My wife works from home full time, and I’m remote when needed too, so your pet is genuinely never home alone. There’s always someone around for walks, feeding, and just company. Whatever you need, a quick drop in, a walk, or a full stay at ours, we’ll treat your pet like one of the family. I work remotely as a photographer, so most days I’m editing from home, with studio time in the office around twice a week. My wife works from home full time too, and on the days I do need to be out, she’s here. Between the two of us, there’s always someone home with your pet, whether that’s for company during the day or keeping an eye on things overnight. We live in a three bedroom terrace house with a fully fenced garden and no side access, so it’s secure and self contained. We’ve got security cameras around the property, and we’re on a semi quiet road, so it’s calm without being isolated. It’s a comfortable, settled space for pets to relax in.
“Emma was absolutely fantastic with my two Newfies, they had a great time with her and her family and of course Daisy. Emma sent me daily pictures with updates and responded straight away if I had any questions. Would 100% recommend Emma .”
“Steven has looked after Poppy for 4 days, we had regular updates and was exercised very well. He is an outdoor person and Poppy had a great time with lots of outdoor time. Poppy was the only dog so got lots of attention and fuss. Steven looked after Poppy as if she was his. Very trusting and will use Steven again in the future. Would highly recommend Steven's care.”

“Shishir and Marion took great care of Alfie, from the start they saw I was anxious about leaving him with a strangers and did everything they could help reassure me, allowing me to schedule a few meetings and greets to get to know them and for them to get to know Alfie. Throughout my stay I got daily updates and pictures and felt constantly reassured he was happy whilst I was enjoying my holiday. I would book them again without a doubt and highly recommend them!”

“Yasmin has been absolutely brilliant! We were able to enjoy our wedding stressfree and know that she will give our kittens the same love, care and affection that she would give to her own. Thank you Yasmin dor being amazing! ”

“Philomena was simply amazing from start to finish. She was incredibly professional and met with us before hand to discuss all the details. Our cat Midna is very weary of strangers when we're not at home but Philomena was very patient and spent a lot of time on each of her visits so that she could allow Midna to get acquainted with her new friend at her own pace. We received detailed updates and photos with each visit which put our minds at ease. I will most certainly be calling on Philomena again in the future and can't recommend her enough.”

“This was my first time booking with Chloe, and it was such a great experience. When I got back, my cats were incredibly relaxed, which says everything about the care they received. Chloe checked on them twice in one day, which I really appreciated, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommended”

About: I’ve wanted a dog of my own ever since I was little, and joining Rover feels like the perfect way to get my fix! For the past 2-3 years I’ve been the person family and friends turn to when their dogs need looking after - something I genuinely love doing. I’m hoping to adopt my own dog soon, and in the meantime I’d love to look after yours ☺️ I work from home most of the week and often have one or two days at the weekend free. I’m available for lunch time walks or dog sitting at weekends. I love going for long walks in the countryside nearby and having a dog for company would be a dream. I’ll always endeavour to stick to your dog’s schedule whether dog sitting in your home or mine. I don’t have any other pets so well suited for dogs who like to have all the attention! I have a very small garden that isn’t fenced so any adventurous dogs I’ll need to keep on lead for toilet breaks, but I am also only a 5 minute walk from playing fields and open countryside where they can roam off lead if you’re comfortable with that.
“Rebecca is an amazing walker for my dog, she showed up on time, was really friendly, sent me updates after each walk and also sent very cute photos of my dog. 🐾❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would 100% recommend her to anyone & wouldn't hesitate to rebook with her again”

“Sacha and Cristina are an absolutely lovely couple, they came round in the morning to have a meet and greet with our 1 year old staffy Gizmo, and he loved them straight away. You could tell they were at ease with him and him with them, and that they clearly love dogs. Later they picked him up and had a great walk with him, sending us lots of pics along the way and updating us, then dropped him off at ours afterwards and gave him his food. We could not have asked for more and will definitely be asking them to look after our little grey ball of joy again. We could not recommend them more 😊👍🏼”

About: Taking care of every type of dog since I was little. Regular house sitting and dog walks for friends, family members and friends of friends. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, so I always treat any of them like they're my own. I’m calm, reliable, and great with nervous or high-energy dogs. Whether you need regular walks, pop-in visits, or overnight stays, I can help — and I’m flexible with scheduling! I am full time career for animals so would be able dedicate as much time as you’d like to your furry friend! I’m more than happy to work around your schedule you have with your pet/s in order to not change anything up to much for them.
“Zhanè is amazing with my dog Hugo, he absolutely loves her. Brilliant communication, always on time and has a warm loving presence. Would highly recommend as I know they'll be in safe hands.”

About: I grew up in a house with 2 dogs so they've always been second-nature to me. During university, I house/pet-sat for multiple families, for both dogs of varying sizes and cats. I have had my 8-year-old pug since she was a puppy so I am very comfortable with both puppies and flat-faced breeds specifically. My dog has unfortunately struggled with varying health problems since she was young, so I am also very experienced with administering different forms of medication and caring for pets with any health concerns. I have recently moved from the US to the UK to join my husband and am currently working part-time. I’m generally available Thursday through Sunday. I am able to abide by any rules you have for caring for your pet in your home. I can take them for walks (on- or off-leash) or just let them into the garden, depending on your preference. I have a lot of experience feeding animals who take multiple medications/supplements, so no instructions are too difficult.
“Could not recommend Victoria enough! She was so lovely, answered super quickly and was extremely patient with my nervous rescue dog who needs some extra support. I loved seeing the rover cards when I came home, the photos were adorable and Victoria's updates were so detailed. She really made me feel as though my dogs were in the best hands possible! Definitely recommend!!!”

“Julie helped us out at short notice and with a longer walk and I have to say Larry absolutely loved it. He tootled off happy as anything and Julie gave such detailed updates on the app. Really pleased I tried an extended walk and Julie gave me the confidence that Larry was ready. Which he was! With the updates Julie sends on the app it’s brilliant. I would recommend 100%.”

About: Hi! I'm Rachel, and I’m a dog walker and dog/cat sitter in central Berkhamsted. I’m very responsible, thoughtful, playful and loving with all animals and I've been called Miss Doolittle (the Dr Doolittle reference not as it sounds!). I've owned a very playful labradoodle and active bengal cats for many years, dogwalked and cared for two very active terriers, a collie, two large labrador and golden retrievers, a chihuahua, a nervous rescue cross breed and dogwalked a wide variety of breeds for a dog rescue centre for several years. I'm experienced with young to elderly, anxious, deaf dogs and cats, and administering medication if needed. If you’re looking for an occasional or regular dog walker, animal sitter or holiday sitter I’m looking for clients around Berkhamsted and the nearby areas right now while studying to make a big career change from office work. I offer solo care or take out small groups for walks along the canal, to the nearby parks and Ashridge, also offer more active dogwalking, balltime and playtime. I know the area very well around here after living here for over 10 years and being very 'outdoorsy'! :) All breeds and ages welcome ❤❤❤ Your pets will be well looked after! I hope to meet you and your much loved pet(s) very soon! Best, Rachel I'm studying to be a health coach and make a career change while animal sitting and will balance this across the week. Mondays to Fridays are preferable for me but I can potentially offer Sundays as well. I'm especially interested in longer, holiday sits too. I'll take the lead from you on what's needed for your pet(s) and any special requirements or needs. I'm very responsible and in tune with animal body language and needs so they'll be well looked after, exercise, food, water and bathroom visits wise!

“John walked our lively recue dog for several days whilst we were away. He was incredibly punctual and happy to come early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. Our dog is reactive to other dogs and I was quite nervous - but no need. John understood her nervousness and ensured walks were safe and uneventful for her. Thank you!”

About: My dream is to have my own dog one day! Until then, I’d love to help take care of yours 🥰 I am a small dog lover providing loving care from our peaceful family home in Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead. I live with my parents in a quiet, safe neighbourhood, where we have a small grassed garden that is completely secure and perfect for fresh air and playtime. Your pet will enjoy a constant routine of companionship, plenty of potty breaks, and endless affection. I specialise in overnight stays (at mine) specifically for smaller breeds. Our home is a calm, safe sanctuary where smaller pups can feel completely relaxed without being overwhelmed. I only accept one dog at a time. While I keep overnights exclusive to smaller dogs, I am completely comfortable walking, visiting, and hanging out with small-medium sized dogs! We are located right by fantastic walking routes for high-energy exercise or just slow pottering! We treat every guest dog like a member of our own family. I always recommend a Meet & Greet in our home/garden first so you can be reassured the stay will be a perfect fit for your furry best friend and we can ask each other plenty of questions. Please note I do not do overnight stays at owners' houses nor do I look after cats. Because I work from home twice a week alongside my parents, our house is almost never empty for more than half a day. This means your pet will enjoy constant company, reassurance, and supervision throughout the day. Your pet’s safety is my absolute number one priority. Our family home is located in a quiet, safe neighbourhood in Gadebridge. We have a partially-grassed garden that is fully enclosed with high, secure walls and a side gate, ensuring zero chance of escape during outdoor playtime. Inside, the house is kept clean, calm, and entirely 'pet-proofed' so curious paws cannot get into anything they shouldn't. Because we are a multi-person household with people working from home, pets would rarely be left unattended for more than half a day. I track subtle changes in energy, appetite, or bathroom breaks ; I will be open with you if there are any issues In the rare event of an illness or accident, I maintain a clear emergency protocol. I keep your preferred vet's details on hand, know the quickest routes to the local 24/7 emergency animal hospital, and will contact you immediately. Paws are wiped down after walks, and fresh, filtered water is always available in a clean bowl in the utility room. I know how hard it is to leave your beloved pet with someone else. To ensure total transparency and trust, I will provide photo and video updates on a schedule we agree so you will always know your dog is well cared for.
About: I am a pet lover and I am full of energy. I love to walk and play with cats and dogs. I have had a lot of pets in my life and I used to take care of neighbours pets and families pets. I do no not have any pets at home. I did have a cat but no longer. I can do early walks or evening walks and afternoons. Weekends also. I had happy to have a dog in my car and home also I am very flexible. I have a massive shared garden, which dogs can go into with me. I live near lots of open spaces also. Woods and parks around.
“We were really struggling for a reliable walker before going on holiday this year. I found Steve on Rover and couldn't have been happier, he came around prior to us leaving to meet Monte and us and made us feel at ease. We trusted him with a key and to feed Monte after walks and we came back to a really happy and healthy dog. Couldn't recommend Steve enough and will be definitely using him again in the future when we require more dog walking and care!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for most of my life with the last 6 years predominantly looking after my families Labrador Kobe. I will look after and entertain him at home and also when out on walks. I work part time as a lifeguard and also like to go to the gym but with the rest of my free time I would love to be walking your dogs Will see what your pet requires whether that’s on lead walking the whole way or take them to a safe and trusted fenced in environment where they can run freely with no threat of danger
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and owned them my whole life, and I’ve always loved being around animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for other people’s pets through walking, sitting, and working at a kennel, so I’m comfortable with all breeds, ages, and personalities. I studied Bioveterinary Science at university and also completed a PhD in the control of infectious diseases, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health, welfare, and behaviour. I now have my own dog, Pip, who is an 8-year-old whippet. He’s very sweet and gentle and loves the company of other dogs. I’m calm, reliable, and happy to follow any routines, training, or special instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. I work full-time, but I work from home around three days a week (the days vary), and I’ll update my availability weekly. Your dog will be cared for like one of my own while they’re with me and will never be left unattended. I’m also usually around on weekends, so I can often help out then too My garden is fully fenced, so dogs can safely enjoy time outside. I’m also happy to follow any routines or instructions you leave — from walks and feeding to anything else — to keep things familiar, consistent, and stress-free for your pet.

About: I am a working professional with a passion for animal care. I can visit your cat(s) anytime from 6am to 9am on a weekday morning and then from 5.30pm until 10pm on a weekday evening. On the days that I am working from home, I can make extra midday visits if wanted. During the weekend I can be more flexible with timings to meet the needs of your pet! I provide caring and reliable pop-in visits, allowing your cat to remain comfortable in the familiarity of their own home whilst you're away. I know the importance of building trust with each cat and will adapt to their individual pace. Any pet needs I will cater for and do let me know if I can help with anything else upon my visits, such as putting out the bins, watering plants and collecting post!

“Hannah was wonderful! She gave us regular updates over the weekend & we could see that Bobby felt comfortable with her & in her home. We will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much for looking after him!”

“We found David via a friend and decided to visit him and his family to see if our Leo will be happy with David and his family. Within few minutes of our visit we knew that we can trust David in taking good care of our Leo. Leo came yesterday after 2 day (with 1 night) of boarding and he came back a very happy dog. David kept us updated with text, photos and videos over the two days stay. David lives exactly 25.4 miles from us - which is about 40 minutes plus drive and we using him says it all. Thanks to you David and your family for taking such good care of our Leo.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, having grown up with family dogs, including our much-loved Golden Retriever who sadly is no longer with us. I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your dog as if they were part of the family. Our dog-loving household is also home to two gentle, respectful children ( ages 4 and 7) who absolutely adore dogs. Your pet will receive lots of attention, affection and playtime in a safe, loving environment. We also have a large, secure garden where dogs can run, explore and burn off energy, as well as plenty of opportunities for walks, cuddles and companionship. Whether your dog enjoys playing, relaxing or simply being around people, I’ll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, and I’ll always do my best to keep them feeling settled and at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, companionship and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. Our family enjoys being outdoors, so walks and playtime are already part of our lifestyle. Your dog would be treated as part of the family, with lots of love, interaction and time spent in our large, secure garden. I understand how important routine is for dogs, so I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, walking and sleeping schedule to help them feel settled and comfortable while you’re away. Weekends are generally relaxed and family-focused, meaning there’s even more time for walks, play and cuddles. My aim is to provide a safe, happy and caring home where your dog feels loved and well looked after. Providing a safe, calm and loving environment is my top priority. My home has a large, secure, fully enclosed garden where dogs can play safely, and they’ll always be supervised while outdoors. Inside, they’ll be treated as part of the family with plenty of attention, affection and a comfortable place to relax. I understand that every dog has their own routine and personality, so I’ll take the time to follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, walking preferences or favourite toys. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away. I know how much pets mean to their owners, and I’ll care for yours with the same love, patience and respect I’d want for my own.
“Frankie could not be more caring or attentive to our dog Max. She is such a life saver and we are so delighted to have found her and to know that our dog is with such a loving family in such a nice environment while we are away. We got lots of photos and updates and Max had a wonderful time.”

“A big thank you to Mark and family. We couldn’t be happier with the care Benji received. They are so patient, kind, and genuinely passionate they are about furry tails. They understood Benji’s routine, quirks, and favourite activities, and kept us updated with messages and adorable photos throughout the stay. Benji was clearly well-loved. We were such peace of mind knowing he was with a lovely family. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog minder. We’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Benjamin was fantastic with Cooper! He kept in touch throughout and clearly cared for him like he was his own. Cooper stayed at Benjamin’s house, which was perfect for him, especially the lovely garden that he absolutely loved. Benjamin took him on plenty of long walks with his own dog, and they got on so well together. It’s obvious that Benjamin is really responsible and genuinely loves dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing Cooper was in such good hands, and I’ll definitely be leaving him with Benjamin again!”

“Our dog Gus had a fantastic time with Rachel. Rachel was so good at allowing Gus what he needed to settle in and Gus has come in very contentedly tired out after a couple of days of playing with Rachel's girls and Arlo. Thank you!”

“Robin is brilliant! Much better than kennels. It's obvious that he loves dogs and they love him back. He shared videos of our puppy-dogs on various walks, which was way beyond what we expected. If there were 7 stars, he'd score 7.”

“Caitlin was really lovely and took brilliant care of our miniature labradoodle, Artie! We received regular (and very cute) photo updates where Artie was engaged in various activities and having a great time. Artie came home after his overnight stay very happy and well looked after. Would highly recommend Caitlin!”
