We have a secure, fully fenced garden, and dogs are free to enjoy the house, including the sofa and upstairs areas. Between my partner and I, there will be someone at home, so your dog won't be left alone for long periods. 🏡 We have our own friendly lurcher, Prince, who loves walks, playing in the garden and meeting new friends. We’re happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so you, your dog and Prince can meet and make sure everyone feels comfortable.🐕 We'll also keep you updated with photos and little messages throughout their stay, so you can see how they're settling in and what they're getting up to while you're away. 📸 Please note: We offer occasional doggy day care but are unable to provide continuous weekly/repeat day care bookings. About: I grew up in a house with 2 dogs so they've always been second-nature to me. During university, I house/pet-sat for multiple families, for both dogs of varying sizes and cats. I have had my 8-year-old pug since she was a puppy so I am very comfortable with both puppies and flat-faced breeds specifically. My dog has unfortunately struggled with varying health problems since she was young, so I am also very experienced with administering different forms of medication and caring for pets with any health concerns. I am able to abide by any rules you have for caring for your pet in your home. I can take them for walks (on- or off-leash) or just let them into the garden, depending on your preference. About: Hi! I'm Rachel, and I’m a dog walker and dog/cat sitter in central Berkhamsted. I’m very responsible, thoughtful, playful and loving with all animals and I've been called Miss Doolittle (the Dr Doolittle reference not as it sounds!). Our family home is located in a quiet, safe neighbourhood in Gadebridge. We have a partially-grassed garden that is fully enclosed with high, secure walls and a side gate, ensuring zero chance of escape during outdoor playtime. Inside, the house is kept clean, calm, and entirely 'pet-proofed' so curious paws cannot get into anything they shouldn't. Because we are a multi-person household with people working from home, pets would rarely be left unattended for more than half a day. I track subtle changes in energy, appetite, or bathroom breaks ; I will be open with you if there are any issues In the rare event of an illness or accident, I maintain a clear emergency protocol. I keep your preferred vet's details on hand, know the quickest routes to the local 24/7 emergency animal hospital, and will contact you immediately. Paws are wiped down after walks, and fresh, filtered water is always available in a clean bowl in the utility room. I know how hard it is to leave your beloved pet with someone else. To ensure total transparency and trust, I will provide photo and video updates on a schedule we agree so you will always know your dog is well cared for.

Before their first stay, we'll discuss everything I need to know, including feeding, medication if applicable, sleeping arrangements, lead and recall requirements, behaviour around other dogs and anything that might make them anxious or unsettled. I'm an experienced animal owner of dogs, so I'm very comfortable reading behaviour and adjusting how I handle an animal rather than assuming every dog is the same. I'll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated while you're away, including photos, so you can see that your dog is happy and settled.
About: My partner Ollie and myself have grown up with dogs our entire lives, we are now lucky enough to live in our own house which has half an acre of secure outdoor space. We work from home regularly so are able to give your dog lots of attention and exercise. We own a beautiful blue whippet ourselves, who is very sociable and absolutely loves playing. He is equally very lazy and loves taking naps! He gets on very well with other dogs and can guarantee your dog will have a wonderful time with us. We have used Rover a lot ourselves when we needed help in the past, so we totally understand how daunting it can feel to leave your dog with somebody else.
