“Jahnavi went over and above to look after my small Pomeranian, and took care attending to her specific requirements. Forgot her treat box and Jahnavi even offered to drop it round! Would not hesitate to book her again, 5 stars!”

About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, having grown up with pets throughout my childhood, and I currently have a dog of my own. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, so looking after dogs comes naturally to me. I absolutely adore dogs, and every dog that stays with me is treated as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs, so i provide plenty of love, patience, care and attention to ensure they feel safe, happy and comfortable while you're away. I believe dogs thrive when they're given both physical exercise and mental stimulation, so regular walks, playtime and enrichment are all part of the care i provide. Whether your dog enjoys long adventures, gentle strolls or simply lots of cuddles on the sofa. My goal is to make sure they enjoy themselves just as much as you enjoy your time away. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. You can have peace of mind knowing your dog will be cared for with kindness, integrity and genuine affection every step of the way. I'm currently on my summer break from working in a school, so for the next six weeks I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your dog. After the holidays, I'll continue to be available on weekends. Your dog's routine will always be my priority, with walks twice a day as standard, and three times a day if they enjoy extra exercise or need additional stimulation. I understand that every dog is different, so I'm happy to adapt to their usual routine and energy levels to ensure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for. Your dog's safety, happiness and wellbeing are my top priorities. We have a secure, enclosed garden where dogs can safely play, explore and go to the toilet whenever they need. I also have plenty of toys and enjoy spending quality time playing games and providing mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and engaged. I have a crate available if your dog is crate trained or if you would prefer them to have their own quiet space. Every dog in my care will be treated like a member of the family, receiving lots of love, patience and attention in a safe, calm and caring home. I will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, medication, walks and routines so your dog feels as settled and comfortable as possible.
“Caroline and her brother Bruno are the best! They are always responsive, super nice, and really do love dogs. Caroline also only permits one dog at a day, which seemed so considerate. My dog Ollie goes to Caroline's flat with a tote bag, and whenever I grab that tote bag at home, Ollie gets super excited. Thank you so much Caroline & Bruno for taking amazing care of Ollie!”

“From the first time I met Mirco, I could tell how professional and experienced he was. It was so reassuring that he checked beforehand if my dog had any special requirements, behavioural issues or allergies and made me feel confident that my pup would be in good hands. I received regular updates while my dog was with him, and I could see how comfortable and happy she was. I will certainly be booking Mirco again!”

“Emma and Nathan were brilliant. We’d never used Rover before so were a bit worried with Oakley still being a puppy but they put my mind at ease, and sent lots of photos throughout the day! He’s still in training so we weren’t sure how full on it would be to look after him but they clearly knew how to handle him so we’re so grateful and especially at last minute. We’d definitely use Emma and Nathan again if they’d be happy to have him ☺️”

“Zsuzzana was absolutely amazing as always! We had a few last minute changes but she was very gracious and helped us with our situation! Our dog loves Z and is always excited to go back”

“I was very nervous to leave Tuffy with her as I never did this before. I’m so glad Tuffy came home happy and Begona took his proper care. She was in touch with her and constantly sending his videos. Hope to see her again.”

“Everything worked out perfectly! Pandora was absolutely lovely and our dog had a great time with her and Fidget. Would rate 10/5! Thank you so much for helping us out, Pandora!”

“Chloe and Phillippe were fantastic with Maya. I received lovely pictures and picked up a very happy dog! Maya almost refused to leave their place because she loved it there so much. Thanks both! X”

“Lucy and her husband were fantastic with coco, Lucy was responsive and sent us updated throughout the day. Coco seemed very happy and relaxed and didn’t want to leave at pick up! Would definitely recommend and will be booking again!x”

“Bruno had a lovely day recently with Ashwini. We received regular updates and pictures and videos which was very reassuring. He came back exhausted but happy! Would definitely recommend and will be using again. Thanks Ashwini!”

“Louis looked after our 2 year old cockapoo this week and we came back to a very happy dog! Even while working from home, Louis took breaks throughout the day to keep our dog entertained, and provided us with lots of updates. There is a lovely big field near him as well which was a beautiful convenient spot for walks. We would definitely use Louis again.”

“Marjan was wonderful - we had a pre-meet in the park before the first booking, she asked all about our dogs routine and health before caring for Benji, and all throughout the day she kept us updated with pictures and videos which was really reassuring. I was late getting back from work and Marjan was so accommodating keeping him a little later than planned. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marjan and will definitely be booking her again :)”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Hertsmere
Bear loved spending the last few days with Natalia. He was so well cared for and all of his special requirements were taken into account. She made the whole experience so smooth and easy, provided plenty of reassurance and updates. Will definitely be back in touch to book if and when we are in the area :) thanks again xx

We love Sabine! She is a great dog sitter - very friendly, easy to work with and make arrangements, and great at communicating - she always sends photos and updates of Pippa too which is lovely to see. Pippa always has the best time with Sabine and comes home very happy, it’s great knowing we’re leaving Pippa with someone we trust who always takes such good care of her. Highly recommend.

Our first time using rover and came across Antoniya, was a little nervous but met up with her prior to leaving our pup. She has good energy along with her partner. My pup likes his days there and comes home tired which is a good sign! Happy with the communication also and pictures that I get sent too.

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
