“Noodle had such a lovely day and was so happy when I picked him up. It’s clear he was really well cared for and enjoyed himself. I really appreciated the updates throughout the day and knowing he was out on walks and having fun. It was so reassuring to see how comfortable and content he was. Thank you for taking such great care of him – I’d be very happy to leave Noodle with you again and would definitely recommend you to other owners!”

“We picked up a very happy puppy from Ashwini’s house - glad to have her as our regular daycare, & appreciate the great set up & professionalism. You can fully trust that your dog will be well looked after.”

“This was Rolex’s first time being cared for by someone else, and choosing Eva was the best decision I could have made! She was incredibly calm, caring, and attentive with him, and I could tell he felt completely comfortable and happy in her care. Throughout their time together, she took him along for her activities and sent me plenty of photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter for Rolex!”

“My fur baby was so well taken care of! I got the cutest photo and video updates and little messages that totally put my mind at ease while I was away. You can tell they really love dogs and treated mine like their own. My pup came home happy and relaxed, which says it all! I’ll 100% be booking again next time, couldn’t recommend more! 🐶💛”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, growing up with breeds like Chow Chow, Golden Retriever, Samoyed, and Alaskan Malamute, and I currently care for my own Czech Wolfdog. This lifelong experience has given me a deep understanding of dogs’ unique needs and personalities. Additionally, I’ve worked closely with professional dog trainers, which has taught me how to read a dog’s behavior and proactively manage situations during walks to avoid potential triggers. Whether it’s providing companionship, ensuring safety, or catering to the specific needs of different breeds, I’m confident in offering top-notch care for your furry friends. I have extensive experience caring for medium and large-breed dogs, having raised several over the years, and I am currently living with a Czech Wolfdog and a maine coon. I work full-time from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, structure, and companionship throughout the day. We live in an excellent area with access to large parks and beautiful nature spots. I regularly take dogs out for long walks, hikes, and play sessions, whether by car or on foot. When we’re not exploring nearby parks, my spacious, fully fenced back garden offers a safe and enjoyable space for dogs to roam, relax, and play freely. Dog care is part of my everyday life — I truly enjoy spending time with them, helping them stay active, engaged, and happy. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether it’s in my home or a pet owner’s home. I create a calm and comfortable environment for the pets, ensuring they feel secure and happy at all times. I’m highly attentive to their needs, from maintaining regular feeding and walking schedules to keeping their surroundings clean and safe. During walks, I’m vigilant about their interactions with other animals and the environment, avoiding potential triggers and ensuring their safety on busy streets or parks. I also communicate openly with pet owners, providing updates and following any specific care instructions they have. My goal is to build trust with both the pets and their owners, ensuring everyone feels confident and at ease.
“Anna was fantastic with Ryley! Great communication, very caring, and incredibly flexible with timings. We felt completely at ease knowing Ryley was in such good hands. We would definitely recommend Anna and look forward to booking with her again.”

I work from from 3 days a week and have a lot of flexibility in my days, looking for some company to hang out with I work from home 3 days a week, my days are flexible so lots of time to hang out and go for walks. Flexibility with what the weekends look likez I have a small fenced garden with fake grass and a big local park just down the road. Or happy to pop over to yours to go out for walks
“Evgeniia was great with Tony! She had regular communication throughout the day with videos and pictures. Tony came home feeling very happy and relaxed. Also, they were very kind to introduce Tony to their dogs, who are very well behaved. Thank you again!”

“Taniya is a true dog lover and comes across as a very kind and gentle soul. She took Otis in for the day and he had a wonderful time. Although he can be pretty full on and doesn't know when to stop (especially when there's a ball available), she took all of that in her stride. From what we could tell, Taniya truly spoiled him with lots of cuddles, play time, and more than 1 trip to the park. Otis barely wanted to interact with us when he got home - he was either too tired after all of his fun with Taniya, or he'd had a taste of the good life and didn't want it to end! We'd love to use Taniya again for future daycare needs as everything went smoothly and she was a great fit for our dog.”

“Siobhan was available last minute, and incredibly kind and professional - my four month old puppy had a brilliant time with her and her dog, and can't wait to go back! Highly recommended.”

Indoors have access to kitchen and lounge which is pet friendly and safe

“Could give Pandora 6 stars! Skye loves her and we know that she is in really good hands when she is with her. We receive updates/pictures throughout the day. She takes care of Skye as it was her own puppy. We could not recommend her more.”

About: Hi, I’m Andrew, I really love spending time with dogs and was a co-dogparent with my partner to two adopted ex-racing greyhounds for over 10 years. Since then we have enjoyed spending time walking other peoples’ dogs and having them stay with us in the house. I work from home most of the time and am always present when boarding, perhaps going out briefly once a day on errands. My partner is often home and loves dogs, so double attention and interaction for our guests at those times! In our house there are lots of soft places for dogs to enjoy. Our garden is fully secure and available for guests to explore at their convenience. We have no children or pets of our own. During boarding times, our guests are our top priority and we are diligent in catering to individual needs.
About: I have had dogs from the age of 10 from pugs to beagles. I LOVE DOGS, but being by myself makes it tricky to commit to getting my own. Since living alone I really missed having a dogs around, so I started dog sitting - the perfect balance of my having the company without the long term responsibility. I love having dogs around for companionship, and also gives me a great excuse to go my local park which is beautiful. I promise to be a great foster dog mum, as I give your pet the time and attention they need. Its also important to me to build trust and relationship with you as an owner to ensure I meet your dogs requirements and routine so you are happy with the care I give them. I work from home 3 times a week (some times more - my work is very flexile), and also have some weekends free. At home I have an office in my garden (which has a dog bed set up under my desk so the dogs are never shut away on their own) , and a large park 5 mins walk from my flat, which has worked great while dog sitting. My flat is a good size for small to medium size dogs. I ensure they get plenty of walks, but I also have a fenced off garden for quick bathroom breaks. My flat is at the back of the building and the garden is only accessible by security coded gate but I also have a 6 foot locked gate - so very secure and safe. I love cuddles so I am happy for doggies to share my sofa and my bed, unless their routine is their own bed/crate which of course will always go with owner and dog's preference. Additional security is my flat door entrance has multiple doors to get to, and I never leave door ajar or open so no chance of wandering dogs or people accidentally letting them out.
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Watford is £29
Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Watford
This was our very first experience using Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! From the very first moment, she and her husband made us feel completely at ease. They took wonderful care of our puppy, Thea, with so much kindness, patience, and genuine love. It was clear that they truly care about animals and treat them like family. We also received lovely photos and updates, which meant so much to us and made us feel reassured while we were away. We are incredibly grateful for such a wonderful experience and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about dogs. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of Thea. We hope to see you again soon!

Siobhan did an amazing job looking after my 9-month-old puppy on the 2nd of July. Obi came back to me incredibly happy, tired out, and very well-cared for. It’s such a peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. He is already looking forward to his next stay! Thanks so much, Siobhan!

Loredana and her husband are great with my miniature schnauzer Marley. He is very happy in their company. He is a needy little dog and they take care of him well giving him lots of attention and cuddles. She responds speedily and gave me regular updates. She also helped me out when I forgot Marely's food! Will definitely be back.

We couldn’t be happier with how Danielle looked after Teddy. He had regular walks, lots of garden playtime, and was cared for so lovingly throughout. It really felt like she treated him as one of her own, which meant so much to us. Danielle also kept us regularly updated with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Teddy was happy, relaxed and clearly in great hands. Thank you so much and see you again soon!

Noodle had such a lovely day and was so happy when I picked him up. It’s clear he was really well cared for and enjoyed himself. I really appreciated the updates throughout the day and knowing he was out on walks and having fun. It was so reassuring to see how comfortable and content he was. Thank you for taking such great care of him – I’d be very happy to leave Noodle with you again and would definitely recommend you to other owners!

Eva was so welcoming to Skye and Skye loved her instantly. She just watched me walk away. I’m always nervous leaving Skye but she reassured me she’d be fine and kept us updated on Skye throughout the day. We would 100% use Eva again. Possibly next week! Thank you SO much

Pandora is a very kind lady. Before I entrusted her with my dog, she asked very carefully and wanted to know all the important information. It was clear that she truly cares about dogs and that she is a good person. My dog Luna spent the whole day with her. I picked her up in the evening; she had been outside with Luna and they had plenty of activities.

Claudia, looked after our one year old Pointer during the day for us, whilst we were away and our daughter was working. It was the first time he spent time without us, but he settled in quickly and was soon eager to join Claudia and her partner each morning. They were amazing. Percy is a big and bouncy ball of energy and they handled him brilliantly. He received lots of hugs and attention, regular walks in the park opposite their home and play time in their private garden. We would definitely use Claudia and her partner again and know Percy will be safe and happy in their care.

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
