About: Since losing my dog a couple of years a go at the grand old age of 15, I’ve been looking after pets for friends and family since. I live right next door to a lovely park, plenty of fields and trails. Happy to put the mileage in if your pet requires it. I’m patient and dogs seem to love me. Happy to help with training also. I work from home at present and I can pick and choose my hours. I can adjust my routine to suit your pet if needed, no problem at all. If your pet is unsociable I can walk early and late if necessary. I have a large flat with a safe and secure balcony. I am 30 seconds away from a park, 5mins away from fields and there are a number of trails and woodland walks close by. If required to sit in at your place, I am clean, quiet and respectable. Happy to be adaptable to your pets needs. Whatever it takes to make the feel safe and secure.

Our days have a natural rhythm that works really well for dogs: a morning walk to start the day, garden time and rest in the middle, and an evening walk before winding down. Rhubarb is already at the centre of our daily routine, so adding a guest dog fits in seamlessly rather than feeling like a disruption. Weekends are even more relaxed — we love getting out for longer walks and spending time at home, so visiting dogs get plenty of attention and activity. We’re not a busy household with lots of coming and going, which means a calm, settled environment for dogs who need it — but with enough energy and outdoor space for those who want to play all day. When dogs stay with us, they’re fully integrated into our home and daily routine — not kept separate or crated unless that’s what they’re used to. Our large, fully enclosed garden means they can run, sniff and play off-lead safely throughout the day, and our border terrier Rhubarb is a brilliant companion for dogs who love to socialise. About: I am currently a 3rd year Veterinary Medicine student at the Royal Veterinary College in Potters Bar, in between my studies I have a lot of time to help out with any pet care you require. Since each day has a different structure when I am available can vary slightly but I can very easily structure when I am working around when you need help! The evenings and the weekends are the times where I am the most available to book. At home, my pointer gets a long walk (1hr+) in the woods or fields once a day. Being high energy, she needs a long stimulating walk to run off some of that energy! She gets fed immediately after the walk as she is very non food motivated and will only eat when shes starving! At home she sleeps a lot and then gets her second rush of energy in the evening, this is where we tend to mentally stimulate her by playing with her and getting her to do tricks. Her and my cat are very close and can often be found snuggling together during the day or in the evening. My cat is abnormally large for his breed which means he’s a bit more prone to injury and doesn’t have the best breathing but now he is older he is mostly interested in snuggling with you and occasionally playing (while laying down usually).

About: I have 30 years experience caring for cats and have three years experience dog sitting for friends. Our friends frequently rely on us to care for their animals when they are on holiday. Me and partner work from home full time. We have a few parks nearby us for walks at lunch time and before/ after work. We would have plenty of time to play with the dogs in between our work and the dogs could join us for long walks. We make sure to keep an eye on the dogs, and to read the signals for needing water/ toliet/ attention.
