“Elizabeth has looked after my 2 cats very well whilst we were on holiday and would thoroughly recommend her. She sent us photos of the cats every day so we didn’t have to worry about them. I will certainly use Elizabeth again. Thanks x”

About: I've been around dogs for most of my life, with my family owning dogs for the past 17 years. Friends, family and neighbours have relied on me to help care for their pets when needed. I've helped care for my parents' dog, taking her on walks and working on commands like "leave" and "drop". I have four rabbits of my own, so I'm just as happy caring for small pets and can offer rabbit drop-ins too. I've also looked after my neighbour's cats while they've been away on holiday. I enjoy spending time with dogs and find that they usually settle well with me. I'll always aim to follow your pet's routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you're away. As a mum of 2 I fully understand busy schedules. I can be available within school hours Monday - Friday with occasional, specific availability outside of this. My home environment is best suited to small, calm visiting dogs needing companionship due to my own pets. I have a secure front and back garden available for supervised toileting breaks. My main availability is for walks and drop in visits, where I can offer consistent care and attention in your pet’s own environment. I’m also very fortunate to be close to Epping Forest, Hainault forest, and surrounding green spaces, ideal for dogs who enjoy longer walks, exploring, or a good game of fetch. Locally, there are also plenty of quiet, safe streets suitable for regular lead walks.
“Highly recommended! Imogen was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Kyo. She was incredibly friendly with us from the start, and it was clear that Kyo thoroughly enjoyed her company. Imogen followed all of our instructions perfectly and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and cared for all week. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter!”

“Kiya has been absolutely amazing with Riley. I completely trust her, and it’s so reassuring that she has experience with French Bulldogs. She’s super responsive and kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, so I always knew how Riley was getting on. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

About: Growing up in Italy, dogs were an integral part of my life. With two German Shepherds by my side, I learned the joy and loyalty these furry companions bring. At 13, we welcomed a mixed-breed pup from a shelter, who became family for a remarkable 17 years, teaching me compassion and responsibility. Twelve years ago, I moved to the UK, but my love for dogs never waned. I often found myself dog-sitting for friends, cherishing every moment spent with these amazing creatures. Two years back, I made another trip to Italy, this time to rescue a dog from a shelter. Now, this furry friend brings happiness not only to my life but also to my parents'. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from a genuine passion for dogs and a desire to give them the love and care they deserve. With a lifetime of experience and a heart full of affection for these furry pals, I'm committed to ensuring their well-being and happiness while their owners are away. Being a pet sitter isn't just a job; it's a way of life fueled by my lifelong bond with dogs. I work from home most of the time, allowing me to provide attentive care for your dog throughout the day. I am available from 7 AM and can feed and walk your dog before starting my work. During my lunch break, I take them out for a short walk, and after 5 PM, I give them a longer walk. I can also provide dinner if needed. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities. I have a medium-sized, fenced garden that is completely safe for dogs of all sizes, including small breeds. I do not use pesticides in my garden and ensure that there are no hazardous materials or items either outside or inside the house. Your dog's safety and well-being are my top priorities, and I take every measure to provide a secure environment for them.
“Thanks again Kerri! Another lovely visit from you with the kitties. I really appreciate you taking the extra time, not just to feed them but to have a lottle play too! And as always, the photos are really nice to see - thanks you!x”

“Loki was in such safe hands with Mary, who kept us updated with messages and photos whilst we were away. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Loki - we’ll definitely be booking you again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs from age 10, looking after them feeding, bathing etc.., I have also completed two college courses level 2 and level 3 animal management where I was taught about caring, welfare, feeding, grooming, training and walking safely, I also have completed a basic animal first aid course where basic things such as cuts and scrapes, CPR and choking was covered. I love dogs and with my time schedule I’m able to spend as much time as needed with the pups. I’m not currently working so completely free all days and all times, to give your pup the best possible care and attention, keep up with training or bathing, and walking as well ,I have a park very close to my house. I have a fenced off garden which is large enough to accommodate a variety of breeds as well as sizes, I don’t have a crate if that is something needed, dogs will be allowed all around the house, I have a lovely park very close for nice long dog walks, as well as a train station for travel close by as I do not drive yet.
“Lorraine has been really amazing with my cat Otto! She regularly shared updates with me and made sure Otto is okay while I’m away. Really glad to have her looking after my cat!”

About: I’ve had all kinds of pets since I was little. You name it - dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and mice. In my family home, we’ve had staffies for about 12 years now, so the “scary” dogs don’t fool me. They’re all big babies. I have pet/house sat and done pet drop-ins for friends, family members, and those willing to let a stranger take care of their little loved ones. I know it can be scary leaving your pet with a total stranger - trust me I’ve been there! But I promise that your little loved one will just be having a little holiday of their own. The majority of care will be done by myself but my partner is also a verified pet sitter. We have cared for puppies, senior dogs, and everything inbetween! We have the experience and, most importantly, the love for animals for you to have peace of mind when placing your pets in our care. We both have experience in puppy training, senior care, giving oral medications, and special needs pets. We love animals and your pets will be looked after with the utmost care from both of us. I’m a freelance artist so all of my work is done wherever I am - meaning that I’m available 100% of the time for your pet. My partner, Kevin, works as a chef for our family business, meaning that the odd gourmet snack is available upon request. This means that at least one of us will be available at any given time. We live right on the outskirts of Epping Forest so your pet will have immediate access to long walks with acres of land to explore. We both love the outdoors so this isn’t a change to our daily routine. We offer pet sitting in the owner’s home. Each time is different and all dependent on what you’re comfortable with. In our previous experiences - our duties have included: walking dogs (usually twice a day but it depends on their age and ability), feeding (following your instructions), giving baths (when needed at no extra cost), medications (as instructed), and obviously lots of playtime! When pet/house sitting - We have stayed in the designated room/(s), looked after the house, and cleaned where necessary (just the daily upkeep of the place - we know pets like to be messy!). We have also looked after cats, rabbits, and birds, so our experience is not just limited to dogs. At least one of us will be available all day to give them attention, care, long walks, toilet breaks, training, and, of course, food! If one of us needs to work - the other will be available for them. Just let us know what their usual routine is and we’ll stick to that.

About: Experience with young and old dogs with varying needs. Having owned dogs my whole life, I am well equipped to cater to their important needs AND their love and attention. I frequently look after my Nana’s dog and I have my own (very needy!) Basset Hound. I work as a writer, so flexibility is my middle name! I can work from anywhere and love taking breaks by walking in nature, which makes taking a fluffy companion with me a treat. I am confident and responsible, I am happy to cater to the exact needs of your pet. From pets which need lots of help and attention, to pets who just need company in the house!

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Epping Forest
Can't thank Chanyin enough for taking such good care of our little fur baby and making sure our plants survived the heatwave. This was the first time using Cat in a Flat but Chanyin put our minds at ease by being so friendly and reliable, even accommodating us at last minute. We received excellent communication throughout the whole process with regular updates. Would highly recommend!

Sunshyne has been great and very caring. I admit that my two cats are not the easiest or the friendliest around people they don't know, as they tend to hide, and it is very difficult to spot them. With patience and dedication, Sunshyne has managed to gain their trust. She has gone above and beyond the detailed discussions I have left her, providing timely information and asking the right questions when she suspected that something could have been wrong. I will definitely rebook, knowing that I can leabe Ebony and Ivory in very safe hands.

Highly recommended! We couldn't have asked for a better sitter!

Emilie provided a cat-sitting service for our two kitties over the course of a week, popping in each day to ensure they were well fed, hydrated, and that their litter trays were clean. Emilie did a fantastic job over the week - we had absolutely no issues or problems while we were away. Emilie was also kind enough to send pictures and videos each day, which really helped put our minds at ease. Our kitties seemed to really like her visits too! Finally, we found that Emilie was very communicative and eager to take on the visits. Overall, I can highly recommend Emilie as a cat sitter, and we’ll surely be taking advantage of her cat-sitting services in the future.

Dominic could not have done more for our cat, he really went out of his way to make sure our cat was seen and given a brush and attention, even on days when our cat went on walkabouts and was not easy to locate. We had daily videos and photos so we did not have to worry. I do not hesitate in recommending Dominic to look after your fur babies, but please not on the dates we want to go away.
By the time I had written down all the instructions for our two cats, it seemed like an incredibly complicated and daunting task! Kim took it all completely in her stride and was incredible. From the looks of them in the daily photos, they seemed very relaxed and happy with her being around, and that put our minds at ease completely. It was so nice to know that they were in good hands! When we arrived back home after a few days, they were excited to see us, but not stressed. You could see that they had been given a decent amount of attention and interaction, and that was great to see. I also appreciate Kim for going the extra mile to keep the place nice and clean and tidy! I know how quickly it becomes messy with our two! 😁 I look forward to having her cat-sit again in future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
