“This was our 2nd time that Diana looked after my dog Ollie for 10 days. Ollie usually doesn’t like staying somewhere else but he loves being at Diana’s so I don’t get worried when I leave him behind. Diana is such a lovely person, very caring and a genuine dog lover. Thank you Diana :)”

“We had a great experience with Shyla. She is so energetic and spreads her positivity around. She was so caring, attentive, and very loving. Our dog was well looked after (she even cooked the food and fed him), and we really appreciated the communication and updates. It meant so much knowing our dog was in such safe and loving hands. We would absolutely use them again and recommend them without hesitation.”

“Hallie was totally at ease when we first introduced her to Anushka. She spent the first few minutes exploring the house. Hallie was at home the moment she stepped through the front door. We couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. We’ve booked hallie in for the august bank holiday.”

“Leaving Anakin with Zoranye was a great experience, she took care of him with love as if he was her own. We got all reassurance we needed to feel comfortable in a boarding session. Zoranye was very flexible to agree on a meet and greet the day before to check how the doggies got along. She asked everything that was important in terms of feeding schedule, habits, restrictions, etc. Communications were reliable and we had photos all day long, playing, eating, chilling. She is a top carer, I totally recommend her.”

“Sara stayed with Lai Kiu and Mike for a week and she had a great time! We received photos everyday and this made us feel calm. The live next to a park and this is great for taking the dog for walks. Would recommend.”

“Yuet and her partner took such great care of Pebbles over the weekend! I greatly appreciated the regular photo updates and videos, they took her out for walks alongside her dog, Gwen, and were very good with giving Pebbles her medication. Highly recommend! 😊”

“Tatiana took good care of my dog and cat during my Christmas vacation and shared regularly pictures and videos with me and that made my vacation much better. Also they both came back happy. So totally recommend her.”

“Jamie and her family was really attentive and had very personalised care for Zion. He was so happy and we were kept updated with pictures and messages . We will surely be using Zion boarding again soon.”

“Shivani and her dog Kai took good care of Archie and he was so happy and relaxed upon return. Totally recommend Shivani for taking care of your dog. We will definitely rebook boarding with her.”

“Veena was wonderful ! I had an emergency and had to drop my dog off straight away, she was extremely accommodating and Coco loved being there ! Veena was constantly sending pics and vids updating us on what he was doing with all the other dogs, giving us peace of mind. Would definitely recommend !!!!”

About: I've had my own dogs of many different breeds since I was a young girl. I've had puppies up to senior dogs and some needed to have medication given. I love dogs and currently have a 2 year old golden retriever. My dog is a typical golden retriever-lots of energy and very happy plus he loves to play! ***Dogs MUST be friendly with kids since I have two dog-loving kids!*** We want your doggie to feel like they are at home and are just hanging out with another family while you are gone. I am a stay at home mom and my kids are in school, so I have a lot of free time at home. I'm home most of the day unless I run out to the store. I have a fenced in large garden and dog friendly couch for a soft place to sit and take naps! I give walks 3x a day and the dogs have access to the garden whenever they want. I'd specifically like to board other dogs who would like to play with my doggie so they can enjoy their time and tire each other out!
“Jenifer was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Jennifer was really helpful and flexible when my plans changed at short notice and accommodated Obi for an extra day. Obi came back very happy. I won’t hesitate to book for Obi to stay with Jenifer and would recommend Jenifer to others for sure! Thanks Jenifer”

“Wonderful sitter. My dog had such a great time i thought he wouldn’t want to come back. Emma sent lots of photos of his weekend stay. She is certainly my dog carer of choice.”

Radhika is perfect for Bailey. He is a very anxious little boy who is 6 1/2 years old. He has never stayed away overnight in fact never been left alone for long at all. Especially out of the house. For me it was a nerve racking process. Finding Radhika’s profile she stood out to me for many reasons. Our meet and greet went extremely well. She has a wonderful calming yet assertive approach to Bailey. A beautiful home with lots of space and a safe garden. Definitely everything you read is very true about her. We had our first overnight stay on Sunday. We all expected it to be very challenging for our little man. Radhika kept us updated throughout which put our minds at ease. Lovely reassuring pictures and videos. As predicted he was very anxious and my trust and faith in her was justified. She looked after him with great care. They have a brilliant connection. On picking Bailey up he was calm and even went back in looking for his new friend. I have booked a 5 night stay for August to attend my son’s wedding in Estonia. I know my nervous little boy will be in great hands and extremely well looked after and safe. Radhika is all she presents on her profile. This will be the first of many bookings to come. And yes! I would most definitely recommend her to family and friends. I am so happy I have found the perfect person for my Chihuahua Bailey. I hope my review is as helpful as all the reviews I myself read that led me to lovely Radhika.

Our 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels stayed with Kiran for 5 nights as we were going along with all of our close family to my sons wedding in Ireland. We rarely have them looked after and were keen to make sure our dogs received the same care & affection as they get as home. We visited a few possible people before Kiran and were horrified to find unsuitable homes and people so finding Kiran was so fantastic as from the moment we went with our dogs to meet him in his lovely dog friendly home and garden made us relax immediatly. His love for dogs is very apparent & he clearly enjoys their company so much we knew that we has found the perfect person. He takes notice of all the routine & care needs of the dogs even checking about any medication which luckily they dont need. He looked after our dogs so well I would always want him to care for them if we needed again. it was very hot weather and he had them near a cooling fan, gave them iced water, walked them early and late and kept us constantly informed with great photos & videos. We felt so relaxed to know they were staying with him and his love for dogs is very evident-nothing is too much trouble. When we were delayed getting home and were worried we were late picking them up he was so kind it made us feel better. I can't recommend Kiran enough. My dogs loved being with him and have come home relaxed ond in no way unsettled. We certainly made the right choice. I neede no prompting to write this review, I wanted to write a review as he deserves any praise I could give to him.
We had such a wonderful experience with Pei looking after our dog, Hugo. From the very beginning, Pei was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. They kept us updated throughout Hugo's stay with regular photos, videos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. What really stood out was how observant they were—they paid close attention to Hugo's behaviour, how he was adjusting, and even the smallest changes, keeping us informed whenever something new came up. It was clear that Hugo was genuinely cared for and treated with so much patience and affection. He came home calm, relaxed, and happy, which says everything about the care he received. We felt completely comfortable leaving Hugo with Pei and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We're already looking forward to the next time. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him!

I couldn’t recommend Tatiana enough! Vic had such a lovely stay with Tatiana and her family. She had a great time enjoying the garden and was clearly very happy and well looked after. What really stood out to us was how Tatiana introduced Vic to the other dogs. Vic can be quite reactive and doesn’t always find it easy to be around other dogs, so we were a bit nervous at first. Tatiana took the time to do the introductions properly, and everything went so well. Vic spent a whole week happily with other dogs, which is something we’ve struggled with before, so we were absolutely delighted. Tatiana also sent us lots of photos and updates, which we really appreciated. It gave us real peace of mind while we were away and made it so much easier to enjoy our holiday knowing Vic was in such good hands. Thank you so much, Tatiana. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Vic with you again!

Puddles stayed with Anushka for the extended weekend, and I couldn't be happier with the care he received. We got plenty of photos and updates throughout his stay, which was really reassuring, and it was clear from the pictures that he was having a wonderful time. The weather was exceptionally hot during those days, so I was especially grateful to know that he was being so well looked after and kept safe and comfortable. He came home happy, relaxed, and settled straight back in.

Krishma and family looked after my dog like she was their own. Krishma is warm and caring. She immediately connected with Stella and knew exactly what to do to calm and soothe my dog. I received lovely updates and photos of Stella, so I was really comfortable and confident she was being well looked after. I would definitely recommend Krishma to look after your dog (or cats). I will be coming back.

Natasha was great at looking after Peach. Her home is perfect for dogs. There are dog beds everywhere. She has a box of dog toys. The garden is a great place for our lurcher Peach to run around in. We only needed to provide a leash, feeding bowl and food and most importantly, Peach adores Natasha.

Gordon was absolutely amazing with my dog. He gave daily updates with photos and videos morning and afternoon. He took my dog on regular walks and I could see that my dog was totally at home and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gordon to anyone looking for a dog boarder and will definitely leave my dog with Gordon again. He is a responsible and loving carer and I can’t thank him enough for looking after my dog for 5 nights.

Coco had a wonderful time with Nimi and her lovely family. It was her first time boarding outside home. She was very happy and well looked after. Nimi took lots of amazing photos and videos. We got regular updates throughout her stay. Coco’s wellbeing was Nimi’s top priority and this was most important for us in deciding to leave her there. Thank you so much for everything you did d for our little puppy Coco.
Thank you Lewis and Abby for looking after Bear you were both accommodating to any of his needs and were really affectionate to Bear who at times has his manic moments until he calms. Felt really comfortable in leaving our special boy with you both, trusting he would be looked after. It’s lovely to know we have found a home from home to leave Bear again if we need to. Thank you xx
Beatriz was absolutely amazing. From the very start she kept me reassured about how Cosmo was doing and regularly sent photos and updates of what he was up to, which really put my mind at ease. As Cosmo recently had tendon surgery, Beatriz took the time to ask thoughtful questions about his care and recovery, making sure she was fully aware of his needs. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. She was kind, professional, and genuinely caring, we felt completely at ease leaving Cosmo with her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will definitely be using her again.

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
