About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs since I was 13, and my love for animals started even earlier. I grew up around them on my grandparents’ farm. I’m now a proud owner of two cats and a dog, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your pets. With years of hands-on experience, I’m confident providing attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs. As a student, I’ve built a routine that allows me to balance my studies with doing what I love, caring for animals. I have free time during the day and on weekends, which means I can give your pets plenty of attention, play, and cuddles. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, or overnight stays. I always follow the owner’s routine to keep pets happy and comfortable. I’ll make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of play and exercise, and have company if they like cuddles or just someone nearby. I’ll also keep the space tidy, send regular updates, and make sure your pets feel safe and loved while you’re away.

Ainhoa was absolutely amazing! She spent plenty of quality time playing with my kittens and made sure they were happy and comfortable while I was away. She sent daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I returned, my pets seemed extremely happy... which is every pet owner’s wish. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and reliable.

About: I grew up with dogs and I see life no otherwise. I only look after one dog at a time, so your pup gets all the attention, cuddles, and sitting-together time 💛 I have a very spacious, calm home, surrounded by lots of lovely parks, and I work from home most days, which means your dog is rarely ever alone. Dogs tend to decide pretty quickly that I’m their person they wander over, sit next to me, and stay. One of my favourite little credentials? I’m my friend’s dog’s absolute favourite human. They choose to sit with me, follow me around, and I’m the only person they’re happy being left with, which I think says more than any checklist ever could 🐾 Because it’s just me and your dog, I really get to know them their routine, their favourite walking spots, and the small things that make them feel safe and happy. There’s no rushing, no noise, and no sharing attention with other dogs. This is perfect for gentle, cuddly, older, or slightly shy dogs who love calm walks, cozy naps, and having a human nearby. Walks are relaxed, home time is peaceful, and affection is always on your dog’s terms. If your dog mostly wants someone to sit with them and keep them company, I’d love to meet them 🐶✨ I am working from home full time going into the office only once a week at my preference, so can accommodate week days as well as weekends and holidays. I live in a very spacious, calm flat, surrounded by several parks, and a very quiet family households area. I also have an elevator if the doggies are older and cannot go up the stairs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was younger, always had family dogs, and have qualifications in animal care and science. I have also volunteered at ranged charities including dogs trust and dog hydrotherapy centres in my spare time and genuinely have a passion for canine care, and enjoy spending time with dogs. I have a small toy poodle called Ruby who gets along well with other dogs. I work from home most of the week and so can regularly take dogs out for toilet breaks or fun walks whenever needed. Having flexibility allows me to focus on the dogs too, I can play with them whenever they need some attention or provide enrichment and care when they need it. I have access to a car and so can travel to fun parks too or other places quick if needed. My home and supplies are my dogs so anything is for offer: plenty of toys, treats, furniture, a bath or grooming if they need it. I have a flat but lots of green areas and parks around me which I take my own toy poodle out to many times a day. I ensure dogs that need care whilst their owner is on holiday, away for work or otherwise, are able to get the care and daily enrichment they need.

About: I have had cats since I was 15, and I babysitted a guide dog for 2 weeks when I was 11. Since then I've done Animal Management Level 2 B-Tec and Animal Management Level 3 B-Tec getting a Double Merit grade. Alongside my educational journey I was required to look after many different types of animals, give them appropriate medications as well as food preparation and providing correct enrichment. I have also worked approximately 2 years in Pets at Home as a retail assistant fully trained in selling animals. This gives me the full understanding of dietary requirements as well as trained in health checking animals when required. I am currently on Summer Holiday and have a lot of free time to look after anyone's pets. Open to try new things and I'll be communicating effectively to give the care needed. This means ever school holidays I'll be back home and ready to look after any pets. I have a large room needed for any reptiles and amphibians, my cat spends a lot of time outside. I'm good with cats in other people's homes as I find them very passive.

About: I have experience caring for cats of different ages and temperaments, including shy, senior, and rescue cats. I'm confident following detailed care instructions, administering oral medication when needed, maintaining feeding schedules, cleaning litter trays, and providing plenty of play, enrichment, and affection at the pace each cat is comfortable with. I'm reliable, organised, and treat every home with the utmost respect. I also know how reassuring it is to hear that your pet is happy, so I provide regular updates, photos, and messages while you're away. My goal is to ensure both you and your cat feel completely at ease, giving you peace of mind throughout your trip. About: I have owned and looked after my dog, a cockapoo, since I was eight years old. We have had her for ten years now, and as I grew up I naturally took on the responsibility of walking her, feeding her and just generally looking after her. Alongside my own dog, I also walk and pet sit for family and friends when they need a hand. Having a dog for most of my life means I am very comfortable with everything that comes with caring for them. I know how much trust it takes to hand your dog over to someone else, and I will always make sure they are safe, happy and well looked after. Because I am at university, any walks or pet sitting during the week will just need to fit around my lecture timetable. I am generally completely free on the weekends though, and I will have loads of availability over the summer holidays once my term finishes. As I only offer walking and pet sitting at your house, your dog gets to stay in their own familiar environment. I am very careful when it comes to safety, always making sure your doors and garden gates are shut properly. I am happy to crate your dog if that is what they are used to, and I will always follow your exact rules for things like feeding and keeping them on the lead when we are out.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments for years, mostly for friends and family who trust me with their pets while they’re away. Animals seem to connect naturally with me; they sense calmness and genuine care, which helps them settle quickly. I focus on making every pet feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I’m patient, attentive to routines, and adapt easily to each pet’s personality, whether it’s an energetic puppy, a shy rescue, or an older companion needing a gentler touch. My schedule is very flexible. I work remotely, which allows me to give pets my full attention throughout the day, from morning walks to evening cuddles. I plan my day around each pet’s needs and routine to keep them relaxed and happy while you’re away. I provide a calm, clean, and secure home environment where pets can feel safe and comfortable. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and maintain open communication with regular photo and message updates. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat the space respectfully and ensure routines are followed exactly as requested. My goal is always the same, safety, trust, and peace of mind for both you and your pet.

David was so accommodating with my last minute booking. He made daily visits to our two young cats and nothing was a problem even when our water had to get turned off for 5 days due to an issue with boiler in our absence. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely wonderful cat sitter! I found Paris on Rover after hearing so many good things about the site, and this was our first time using it. From the moment Paris came to meet us and our cat, Luna, I immediately knew I had made the right choice. She was warm, kind and genuinely caring, and I felt completely comfortable trusting her with Luna. We booked three drop-in visits, and as it was our first time using a pet-sitting service, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Paris was absolutely amazing! She made sure Luna had everything she needed and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and, of course, tried her best to win her over 😂❤️ Luna is a little different when meeting new people — she doesn’t immediately come over for cuddles or show affection, but once she gets used to you, she becomes incredibly sweet. Paris never gave up trying to gain her trust, even though unfortunately the three visits were probably just a little too short for Luna to fully warm up to her. I really appreciated the care, patience and effort Paris put into every visit. She kept us reassured and made me feel confident that Luna was in very good hands while we were away. I would 100% recommend Paris to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and genuinely lovely pet sitter. We will definitely be requesting her services again in the future! 🐾❤️ Thank you so much, Paris! 🥰

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redbridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
