About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs since I was 13, and my love for animals started even earlier. I grew up around them on my grandparents’ farm. I’m now a proud owner of two cats and a dog, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your pets. With years of hands-on experience, I’m confident providing attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs. As a student, I’ve built a routine that allows me to balance my studies with doing what I love, caring for animals. I have free time during the day and on weekends, which means I can give your pets plenty of attention, play, and cuddles. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, or overnight stays. I always follow the owner’s routine to keep pets happy and comfortable. I’ll make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of play and exercise, and have company if they like cuddles or just someone nearby. I’ll also keep the space tidy, send regular updates, and make sure your pets feel safe and loved while you’re away.

About: I have grown up with dogs (a cairn terrier called Bettie and multiple family friends dogs of varying sizes and breeds!) I often dog sit for my friend who has a poodle and looked after her since she was a puppy. I am available all day some days of the week when I work from home (can be flexible around which days) and also some weekends! Love all dogs and very experienced with looking after them. I have a house in East London with a small garden. I am 5 minutes away from the Wanstead Flats so plenty of space to go for long dog walks, rain or shine!

About: I grew up with dogs and I see life no otherwise. I only look after one dog at a time, so your pup gets all the attention, cuddles, and sitting-together time 💛 I have a very spacious, calm home, surrounded by lots of lovely parks, and I work from home most days, which means your dog is rarely ever alone. Dogs tend to decide pretty quickly that I’m their person they wander over, sit next to me, and stay. One of my favourite little credentials? I’m my friend’s dog’s absolute favourite human. They choose to sit with me, follow me around, and I’m the only person they’re happy being left with, which I think says more than any checklist ever could 🐾 Because it’s just me and your dog, I really get to know them their routine, their favourite walking spots, and the small things that make them feel safe and happy. There’s no rushing, no noise, and no sharing attention with other dogs. This is perfect for gentle, cuddly, older, or slightly shy dogs who love calm walks, cozy naps, and having a human nearby. Walks are relaxed, home time is peaceful, and affection is always on your dog’s terms. If your dog mostly wants someone to sit with them and keep them company, I’d love to meet them 🐶✨ I am working from home full time going into the office only once a week at my preference, so can accommodate week days as well as weekends and holidays. I live in a very spacious, calm flat, surrounded by several parks, and a very quiet family households area. I also have an elevator if the doggies are older and cannot go up the stairs.

About: Hi, I’m Pranet. I really love spending time with dogs and have experience in taking them for walks and visiting them. I take great care of them on walks ensuring their safety and the freedom to explore the world. I have taken big dogs and small dogs on walks and my clients were pleased with my service for both of them. I am very flexible with time as I am working through an agency so I can choose which date and time I go to work. I am willing to take dogs on a walk on short notice and am very flexible with time and communicate my availability clearly. I have some experience with dogs and am enthusiastic about working with them, and learning more about their behaviour and personalities. I respect the owner's concern about their dog's habits and what I should do to protect them which is why I have established trust with the owner and their pets.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young, always had family dogs, undertaken animal study courses and volunteered at ranged charities including dogs trust and dog hydrotherapy centres! I have a small toy poodle who gets along really well with other dogs. I work from home most of the week and can take dogs out for toilet breaks and fun walks whenever needed, or play with them whenever they need some attention! My home is my dogs home so anything is for offer- toys, treats, furniture, a bath if they need it. I have a flat but lots of green areas around me which I take my own toy poodle out to many times a day.

About: I have owned and looked after my dog, a cockapoo, since I was eight years old. We have had her for ten years now, and as I grew up I naturally took on the responsibility of walking her, feeding her and just generally looking after her. Alongside my own dog, I also walk and pet sit for family and friends when they need a hand. Having a dog for most of my life means I am very comfortable with everything that comes with caring for them. I know how much trust it takes to hand your dog over to someone else, and I will always make sure they are safe, happy and well looked after. Because I am at university, any walks or pet sitting during the week will just need to fit around my lecture timetable. I am generally completely free on the weekends though, and I will have loads of availability over the summer holidays once my term finishes. As I only offer walking and pet sitting at your house, your dog gets to stay in their own familiar environment. I am very careful when it comes to safety, always making sure your doors and garden gates are shut properly. I am happy to crate your dog if that is what they are used to, and I will always follow your exact rules for things like feeding and keeping them on the lead when we are out.

She sent daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I returned, my pets seemed extremely happy... which is every pet owner’s wish. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and reliable.

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of cats and dogs, including tabby cats, British Shorthairs, and Sphynx cats. I have also looked after many different dog breeds and have grown up around animals, having owned Rottweilers and a Poodle, and I currently care for my Shih Tzu and two tabby cats. I am very confident handling pets of different personalities and needs, including dogs with separation anxiety. I genuinely enjoy working with animals and take pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. My aim is to give pet owners complete peace of mind, knowing their pets are in safe and loving hands at all times. I am a full-time SEN secondary teacher, however I spend my spare time (after 15:00) caring for cats and dogs, including my own pets. I have a strong passion for animals and really enjoy providing them with attentive, reliable care outside of my working hours. I am also available throughout all school term holidays, so if you are looking for a full-time pet sitter during these periods, please feel free to get in touch. In addition, I am open to last-minute weekend bookings where possible. With owner permission, I also love taking dogs out for enriching walks to places such as local parks or forests to ensure they are happy, stimulated, and enjoying their time while in my care. I have a fenced garden with plenty of space for pets to safely roam and enjoy themselves. I also have a female, friendly Shih Tzu named Paris, who is very sociable with other dogs and is also comfortable around cats, as she has lived alongside my two tabby cats. My cats are generally independent and often spend time outdoors in the neighbourhood or relaxing in their own space indoors, so visiting pets are able to have a calm and low-stress environment. I always ensure any pets in my care are introduced slowly and safely where needed, and I prioritise their comfort and wellbeing at all times.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life having been raised with them in the house and attending to all their needs throughout the years. This includes raising dogs from puppies, teaching them tricks, monitoring their diet, going for walks, attending vet visits and caring for them their whole lives. I am currently between roles thus very flexible when it comes to the day/week routine. This may change in future but I remain available. My home is set up for both my cat and dog, from their discreet bedding (which is regularly changed), food and food bowls (all labelled with expiry date), grooming brushes and toys. This also includes a clear schedule for walking, feeding and play time. I am guilty of leaving what I am doing to attend to their needs.

Harriet is such a star! My dog is very sentimental, she doesn’t like everyone to take her for walks especially particularly about letting the harness on her. I had to emergency travel so I had no choice but ask for help and pray that the person would be able to help and make a bond with Lady in such a short amount of time. I was super lucky I found Harriet, Lady loved her from the first second and seeing that I was able to focus on my family and I was able to focus on my family when they needed me. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redbridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
