Ian has always been very accommodating with pickup and dropoff times and has always taken a great interest in the particular needs of our dog. He is very accommodating when it comes to sleeping arrangements and they have a lovely comfortable home with great quiet walks on their doorstep. We always get updates during Belle's stays and it really is a home from home.
Preeti was an amazing dog sitter! Even on very short notice, she looked after my dog Lai Lai as if she were her own. Lai Lai even made a new bestie, Benji. Preeti was so welcoming and friendly — she even bought Lai Lai a toy and a blanket. I’d definitely recommend her. She’s truly wonderful with dogs!
All has gone well. It looks like they have had a great time. They’ve come back to us looking for a rest. We appreciated the daily videos and pictures to update us. Can definitely recommend Tina. She took great effort to assure us in our visit that they would be well looked after. Not sure Luna really noticed as she had so much fun. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
