“Can't thank Barabara and Frank enough for how well they looked after my dogs (Cilla and Frank) while I moved house. Cilla has some food allergies and needs medication twice a day for a thyroid problem but Barbara and Frank took it all in their stride. Barbara sent me regular updates about how they were getting on; they were humerous and always relevant to Cilla and Frank not just generic one liners. About: As a dog owner myself, I know just how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone new. I’ve used Rover myself when looking for someone to care for our Shih-Poo, so I completely understand how important it is to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. I grew up with dogs and now have a dog of my own who is a huge part of our family. I’ll treat your dog with the same care, attention and affection that I give my own. We have a fenced garden where the dogs can play and relax, as well as access to a nearby field for plenty of walks and fresh air. One of the most important things I can offer is that your dog will never be left home alone. Our own dog is never left by himself, so any dog staying with us will always have company too. My aim is to make your dog feel safe, settled and at home while they’re staying with us — and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re being genuinely cared for. 🐶❤️ I work from home some days each week and have availability weekends/evenings too. Our dog is not left by himself so your dog would never be left alone. I have a fenced garden and a small friendly Shih poo that loves to make new doggy friends! I’d happily follow your dogs current routines so they feel as comfortable as possible.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
