About: As a dog owner myself, I know just how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone new. I’ve used Rover myself when looking for someone to care for our Shih-Poo, so I completely understand how important it is to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. I grew up with dogs and now have a dog of my own who is a huge part of our family. I’ll treat your dog with the same care, attention and affection that I give my own. We have a fenced garden where the dogs can play and relax, as well as access to a nearby field for plenty of walks and fresh air. One of the most important things I can offer is that your dog will never be left home alone. Our own dog is never left by himself, so any dog staying with us will always have company too. Both Gary and Anita were very welcoming when we arrived to meet up, then from the minute I dropped my boy off, to when I picked him up they were in giving a couple of updates every morning and evening. As much as my dog was happy to see me when I picked him up. I knew straight away, he had been treated like their own pet and was very calm and relaxed. My dogs sleeps in his own bed in our bedroom and we would welcome another bed on the floor or in their own space if required. If you do not allow your dogs upstairs we have plenty of secure downstairs space your dog can enjoy. However we do treat all guests like family.

About: As a pet mummy, I understand the struggle and how difficult it can be to leave your fur babies but please be rest assured they will be well looked after. I would treat them as if they were my own. I have had pets my whole life and when I haven’t I have looked after family/friends pets. I have had 3 cats for the last 4 years and they’re the friendliest cats you will ever meet. I have a huge cat tree, lots of toys, Interactive toys, treats (if allowed) beds and scratch posts for any cats I look after and lots of toys and treats (if allowed) for any dogs I look after. Please note, even though I do have cats they do not interact with any dogs I look after. They go out during the day and when they come in at night they go straight upstairs so it is very unlikely that they would even set eyes on each other. I currently work from home so I would have plenty of time to look after, walk and play with your fur babies. You’re on holiday so it’s only fair that your fur babies enjoy their own little holiday too. My garden is secure so that your fur babies have access to fresh air, lots of playtime with toys and a partner that also loves animals.
About: I have loved cats and dogs since I was a child but only when settled in my own home after university did I feel settled enough to start to care for my own cats and dogs. Now I have the time to care for other pets and make them part of our family while they are here. I have a 4 year old Lab Retriever and two cats who both know how to live with dogs. Now that I have retired I have all the time in the world to devote to looking after my pets and yours. Your dog can become part of our family and share in all the care and attention I have a medium sized fully fenced in garden and plenty of room for the pets to find a quiet space if they need it or they are welcome to jump on the sofa for a cuddle.

In recent years my son and daughter have got a Beagle and Collie respectively and I frequently take them when they go away for long weekends or holidays. My sister has also had dogs for many years though my visits thee are less frequent as she lives further away. She has just got a poodle puppy, photo in that section. I left my job in November last year and considering early retirement. I am 58. This means I can be very flexible to others needs. I live in a cul de sac away from traffic. I have a large mature garden that is fully secure and access to lots of nearby walking areas for dogs such as woods etc.

About: Hello, I’ve been a dog and cat owner for over 12 years. Having lost my dogs last year due to old age I have now embarked on a dog grooming course which I will eventually open my own business from home. This currently allows me to have free time in my home to look after your family pet. This allows me to have all the cuddles and kisses and company from your pet rather than the commitment of owning my own pets again. With a weeks notice I’ll be able to be as flexible as you need. I am currently on a flexible dog grooming course currently which I am fitting In around my life. My house is a fenced garden with NO escape! So you wouldn't need to worry about escapees. I can accommodate to your structure with your pet also and stick to feeding schedules and walking schedules. I am very organised and punctual so sticking to a timetable is how I like to approach my daily life so jobs get done and in a timely manner. You can guarantee your pet will get lots of cuddles and strokes from me with undivided attention or if your pet doesn’t like that then I also know when to not cross that boundary.

I have trained puppies basic skills and recall. I have also looked after cats for family members previously. About: In my personal life, I have been the lucky owner of a beautiful Akita and handsome pug and professionally, I have spent the last 2 and a half years working as a kennel assistant looking after large working dogs. I have completed a dog behavior and enrichment course at The Dogs Trust and completed a Kennel Assistant Course with the Ministry of Defence. I am also DBS checked. I am currently working part time, so I can work on various days and times. I have plenty of time for visits and walks throughout the week. I have a fenced garden with both grass and patio. “It has been a huge relief to have found the wonderful Dina to look after our rather stressful boy, Woody. Having met Dina for an initial meet and greet, it was clear Woody would be in the best of hands. He was happy and chilled in Dina's company. He has now recently stayed with Dina for 3 nights and I can honestly say I had no qualms handing Woody over. Dina is so relaxed and in-tune with a dog's feelings and needs. About: I’ve always lived with dogs - childhood pets, dog sitting when studying and now having my own dogs. Currently we have a young setter whom we trained from a puppy. I have experience in looking after a range of dogs but the majority of my experience is with spaniels (my previous dog was a springer spaniel), retrievers and Labrador’s and their needs. I’m used to high energy dogs who need lots of walking and game playing. I have experienced first hand the transformation in a dog once it has sufficient exercise and stimulation, so will always look to ensure that your dog has enough walking and play. Our setter has suffered from separation anxiety, so I very aware of the challenges of this & the resulting behaviour. We have worked hard to overcome this & with the right routine in place can now leave him for a couple of hours. We are also working very hard with his recall & making progress, I have honestly found training a ongoing personal achievement and has strengthened our bond hugely. With active dogs, in and out of puddles etc. I am very aware regular brushing is essential to keep their coat untangled and clean. Personally I think this is a lovely way to spent sometime with your dog when they are calm in the evening and happy to spend time with your dog in this way. I’m work from home part time supporting my partners carpentry business. I have two children (4&7) so have school runs twice a day. I’m around the majority of the day otherwise. I walk our dog after school drop off for at least an hour, we go to local open spaces or drive to the country parks. I will take him for another shorter walk either before pick up or later in the day once my partner is home. I'm happy to take additional walks if this is needed for your dog or play scent games in the house & when I'm home they are always free to go in the garden. I have a two year old friendly neutered male English Setter in my home. He likes all dogs and if they are energetic he will play with them. If they are senior he respects this and is gentle. I walk with him for over an hour a day and often go for runs. I can walk other dogs with or without him. If your dog was in our home, they would be in the same space as him on the ground floor and in the garden. Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the bedrooms but provide beds in each room, so they are able to to be with me throughout the day & are not left alone. Whilst the dog will never be left alone around the children (and my children have been around dogs all their lives), it will need to be happy to be in a family environment. Our setter (like a Labrador) is happy to try and eat anything! During mealtimes, our dog and any visiting dogs will be put in a different room. He is a counter surfer and so surfaces and tables are clear of food aside from mealtimes, so they do not get anything that might upset their tummies. I'm very vigilant on keeping any non dog friendly foods well away (raisins, chocolate etc.)

I mostly work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and can settle into a calm, consistent routine. Our day usually starts with a morning walk or run, often along the river, giving dogs a chance to stretch their legs, explore, and burn off some energy. During the day, dogs have access to the garden for fresh air, sniffing, and play, alongside a relaxed home environment. If it suits the dog, we may head out for a shorter lunchtime walk in the nearby woods, followed by a longer walk after work to round off the day. Evenings are calm and cosy, with time to relax, unwind, and have a cuddle (if that’s their thing!). I try to balance activity and downtime so each dog feels both stimulated and settled. I provide a calm, safe, and home-from-home environment where dogs are cared for with both structure and sensitivity to their individual needs. My home offers a relaxed space with access to a secure garden for regular breaks, play, and fresh air. I’m mindful of safety both inside and outside the home — whether that’s secure lead use on walks, careful introductions, or reading dogs’ body language to ensure they feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. I focus on creating an environment where dogs can settle at their own pace, feel safe, and enjoy both activity and calm downtime. Above all, I aim to build trust with both dogs and their owners so you can feel confident your dog is in safe, caring hands.
