I just wanted to say a huge thank you for taking such great care of Manika. From the very start, you were so kind and reassuring letting me meet you beforehand really helped settle my nerves as a new puppy mum. Manika has been so calm and happy after each visit, and it’s clear she feels safe . Thank you again for making this transition such a positive experience for both of us

Felicity went above and beyond to care for my Molly at short notice. Molly was so well looked after. Felicity and her family were wonderful and clearly gave her lots of love, along with lovely Ash. Molly came home absolutely knackered, which says it all! Super appreciate the photos too ✨ Thank you so much and would love for Molly to return again 🥰

My Chihuaha x went to stay with Hannah and Patrick yesterday aa I moved house and I am so happy to say how well he waa looked after. Prince is a very anxious & nervous dog & doesnt really like new people. He took to his new surroundings straight away and had a wonderful time. I was kept in contact throughout the day with photos & messages. I would highly recommend Hannah as a dog sitter and will be using her again soon. 5 stars all round.

About: I have over five and a half years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs, both in my own home and in owners’ homes. I come from a strong rescue background; we cared for over 30 cats at a time, rehomed cats internationally, and regularly rescued cats from the streets. For more than two years, I personally managed to feed almost 50–60 stray cats every evening, ensuring food, clean water, hygiene, and regular monitoring of their health and wellbeing with a friend's help, who was providing food. This taught me responsibility, consistency, and deep compassion for animals. I have also provided trusted in-home pet sitting for many families. Owners regularly chose me when travelling because they wanted their pets to stay comfortable in their own environment. I stayed in their homes for short and long periods, caring for cats and dogs, following routines, administering food, walking dogs, playing, and providing companionship. I always send daily photo and video updates so owners feel reassured and connected. I understand how emotionally difficult it can be to leave a pet behind, and I take that trust very seriously. I am calm, patient, observant, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. My goal is to give pets love, safety, routine, and comfort, and to give owners complete peace of mind. I’m a university student with morning classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I’m free most evenings and other days, flexible, reliable, and always prioritise pets’ safety. I had many cats back home and took care of the dogs of my neighbors and people from social media. I follow each pet’s routine exactly, learn their food, walks, and habits beforehand, arrive on time, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, which began with helping at my uncle’s pet care and grooming business. This gave me invaluable insight into animal behavior and how to meet each pet’s unique needs. My love for animals extends beyond work—I lived in Portugal for a time, where I cared for dogs, giving me a deeper appreciation for their loyalty and individuality. What sets me apart is my ability to create a calm and loving environment for pets, ensuring they feel safe and happy, whether it’s playtime or quiet cuddles. Animals aren’t just my passion—they’re family to me! I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets and incorporate them into my daily routine. Whether it’s going on refreshing walks at my local park or enjoying quick playtime in my garden for some fresh air, I make sure every pet feels loved and well-cared for. I’m passionate about animals and committed to providing them with the attention, affection, and care they deserve. I have a very pet-friendly home which makes animals feel comfortable and happy. It’s spacious, giving pets plenty of room to move around freely and relax. I also have a fully fenced garden, perfect for safe outdoor play or fresh air whenever they need it. Whether indoors or outdoors, your pet will have a secure and welcoming environment to enjoy their time here.

About: Hi, Our names are Lucy and Chris. We are a couple in our 20s and have recently bought our first house together. Lucy has grown up with a Cocker Spaniel called Lottie who is 10 this year and since moving out we have noticed a doggy shaped hole in our lives! Lottie stays at ours occasionally and we have also had the pleasure of caring for a few of our friend’s dogs but would love the chance to meet some new doggy pals! 🐾 We enjoy cuddles with dogs on the sofa and love a walk! Getting out in the fresh air and being in nature is something we both enjoy so will do our best to incorporate some fun and long walks into your dog’s stay with us. 🍃 Our jobs mean that one of us can always be working from home in the week to provide doggy daycare services and boarding services from our home. We are also around on weekends but request two weeks notice for any weekend bookings! If a dog is arriving in the week we kindly ask that they are dropped off in either the morning (before 9am) or after 4pm. We have a secure, fenced in garden with grass which dogs can run around in. We live in a quiet close so there isn’t much traffic noise or many loud noises to unsettle pets. We like to be cosy and will invite dog visitors to have cuddles with us on the sofa (if the owner is comfortable with them going onto furniture) We work from home and are able to let dog visitors out for frequent toilet breaks and provide regular water refills. We understand dogs have different dietary needs and are happy to accommodate this so they can have a comfy stay. We have a few dog toys for our dog visitors to play with but if dogs have certain toys they love please bring them along and we will incorporate these into playtime! We not only want to build trust with our dog visitors but also owners. We understand that different owners will have different rules for pets at home. We will do our best to continue any good training / behaviours you are teaching your pets. We do not tolerate or use unkind behaviour towards animals.

Roksana was a wonderful carer for Luna for the day. She was super diligent when we first booked, having never met Luna, she offered to arrange a quick phone call so I could walk her through Luna’s average day and details about her. Roksana was then really communicative and on top of things, sent some lovely pictures and handed back an exhausted, happy doggy. 10/10 would recommend !

She was so happy to be there that when we picked her up she was still playing with Gary and his lovely wife. Gary is wonderful with dogs. We will be booking again.

Danwei has looked after my puppy Atlas twice now and done an amazing job! It is obvious that Atlas has had plenty of good, engaging playtime as he is calm and content when I walk him home afterwards (he usually yanks my arm off if he is too energetic still). Danwei has been fantastic and so thoughtful in his communication, and very accommodating with timing when I needed it which was so appreciated. I definitely recommend him and will happily continue to book with him myself :)

Lola is looked after really well and enjoys going there during the day. Manpreet and her husband send lots of updates and check in regularly. They have a lovely house with a big garden. Lola enjoyed playing with their dog, Shera. Sometimes they have not been able to accommodate Lola because of work schedules but they have given us as much notice as possible so we could use our other dog sitter.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Medway

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Medway on Rover is £26.45 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 13,333 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Medway. About 87% of Medway sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Medway commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
