“Romina lives very close to me so that is a huge bonus. We had an initial meet up mostly to see if our dogs would get on. Sparky(mine) & Buddy (hers) were shall I say a work in progress!! Today I left Sparky at Romina’s home for 3 hours and I am delighted to say all went well. Romina is patient and kind and has a good empathy with dogs she sent me photos which were reassuring as Sparky can be a tad anxious. I’m really happy and have now booked a further 5 sittings. The booking system is a little bit difficult to navigate especially if you are making multiple bookings but hopefully it’s going to work out For us☺️🐾”

“Darren provided a home from home experience for my boy, who was happy and settled immediately. Would recommend the warm, caring environment with Darren and his family.”

“Milo had a great day with Aiva and family, and is looking forward to going back. Aiva sent me lots of pictures and videos, and communicated throughout the day as she knew I was a bit anxious about leaving him.”

About: So I am a young single male. I have a lifetime if experience with animals, especially dogs so I find i have a very deep bond from the start of a booking, i live in a quite off street close.to a massive nature park with lake and loads of trails to walk and the dogs love them. Sheerness beach is only a short trip away and for the odd short walk there are lots.of little local greens to go round, throw a ball etc. I send updates, pictures and videos to the owners and the dogs always recieve 1 to 1 attention the majority of the day. I may pop out for a few hours and my father usually pops round with a marrow bone for them. If your dog requires 1 to 1 care 24/7 which i am able to carry out but pricing would have to be discussed further. Thanks for looking at my page and hope to hear from you all very soon. Im a caring single man and mad about dogs. Love going for country walks, or curled up on the sofa with a good film or program. I dont work so I can give my full attention and care to your dog. I also like going fishing to the local lake so that could be fun for the dog. I take into consideration a dogs emotions, needs and what kind of care the animal would need by conversing with the customer. Obviously each pet is different. Im very versatile and will go above and beyond to make sure there stay is really good fun.
About: I am a genuine dog lover and a pet parent myself, so I understand how important it is to find someone reliable, kind and patient to look after your pets. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs day to day, including feeding routines, walks, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles, basic grooming care and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I currently care for my own dogs, including a larger energetic dog and a smaller companion dog, so I am comfortable with different sizes, temperaments and routines. I understand that every pet has their own personality, likes, dislikes and boundaries, and I always try to follow the owner’s instructions closely. What sets me apart is that I treat pets like family. I am patient, gentle and attentive, and I will make sure your dog receives plenty of care, affection and reassurance while you are away. I can help with regular walks, feeding, playtime, companionship and keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I am also happy to provide updates, photos and messages so you feel reassured while your pet is with me. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I already care for my own dogs every day. I am used to regular feeding times, morning and evening walks, toilet breaks, playtime and keeping dogs settled throughout the day. I have a flexible routine, so I can plan walks, visits or care around each pet’s normal schedule. I understand that consistency is important for pets, so I always try to follow the owner’s instructions closely and keep their routine as familiar as possible. I care for pets with patience, attention and respect for their individual needs. Whether I am looking after a pet in my home or in the owner’s home, I make sure they feel safe, calm and comfortable. I always follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medication if required, toilet routines, sleeping arrangements and any house rules. I keep pets supervised, avoid unsafe situations, and take care when opening doors, walking near roads or introducing them to unfamiliar places. In my home, pets will be treated like family in a clean, caring and comfortable environment. I also understand that some pets may feel nervous when away from their owners, so I give them time, reassurance and gentle attention. I am happy to send regular updates and photos so owners feel confident that their pet is safe and well cared for.
About: A work from home companion for your dog. I have had dogs for over 10 years now, with experience of different sizes and breeds! Alongside this, I have experience admitting medication. I have 2 loveable fluff balls, Henry (Labradoodle) and Winnie (Golden retriever). They love adventures of all kinds, whether this be exploring in the woods just over the road from the house, swimming in the sea or a charge about in a private field. Alongside the beautiful doggy’s I live with my partner Ant (who works in London) and young daughter. Ant occasionally joins us on walks but all dog care would be undertaken by myself. Your dog would be treated exactly the same, a home from home with cuddles on the sofa and a large garden for playtime. I work from home full time so your dog will have constant access to outdoor space. Weekends revolve around the dogs, trips to the park etc. The longest your dog would be left is 2 hours. Alternatively, if they are happy in places like town, we are also happy to take them with us when we go for coffee. I have a large fenced garden and 2 fur babies for your dog to play with. Alongside walks at the field, we regularly go to private fields for a run off leash. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night, also absolutely fine!
About: I am from the north east of England where I live in a small town surrounded by countryside (before spending 16 years in London and moving to Kent in 2020). I love animals, in particular dogs. From when I was born I grew up around cats and dogs we had in the family, rabbits too and other animals on my aunties farm horses, cows, sheep and chickens. My auntie was also a dog trainer and attended crufts. I work in Mental Health and animals are a huge part of the family. They also help to reduce any stress, live in the moment and make us smile. I also have a pet first aid qualification. I am mainly available Friday (8am) to Sunday (10pm) for day care and/or over night. Depending on the time of the year and my work I may be available for other days/longer stays. My home is firstly my dogs home. He is allowed on the sofa and has access to a secure garden. There are no dangerous wires or objects which could cause injury.

About: I grew up in a busy household with a Border Collie mix and a Jack Russell, so I’m no stranger to high energy and big personalities! Today, I’m a proud 'sausage mum' to two miniature (well, 'in betweenie' size) dachshunds. I offer dedicated drop-in visits and walks throughout Swale, tailored entirely to your routine. Living in Swale with a flexible work from home schedule means I am available throughout the day and evening to give your dog the attention they deserve - I also drive so distance is not a problem! Having pet sat for family for years, I understand that every dog is an individual. Whether your pup is a high energy explorer or a shy snuggler, I adapt my approach to their specific temperament. I prioritise safety above all else; For your peace of mind, all walks are conducted strictly on lead and are exclusive to your household, ensuring my full focus is always on your best friend. Because I and my partner work from home, my schedule is incredibly flexible, allowing me to be there for your dog exactly when they need me. Whether it’s a mid-morning stretch, a lunch break stroll, or an evening check-in, I can easily work around your routin - I am available throughout the day and into the evening across Swale and the surrounding areas as I have my own car. My priority is providing consistent, reliable care so you can go about your day knowing your pup isn’t waiting by the door alone. Safety is at the heart of every visit. Growing up with high-energy breeds like Border Collies and Jack Russells taught me the importance of vigilance and control. For your peace of mind, all walks are conducted strictly on-lead and are exclusive to your household; I don’t do 'pack walks,' so your dog has my undivided attention. Whether I'm visiting your home for a drop-in or exploring the local area, I adapt to your dog’s specific temperament and triggers. I treat every dog with the same care and caution I give my own two dachshunds, ensuring they return home happy, tired, and safe.
“Sean and Jacky were so incredibly helpful as this was my first time leaving Toby with someone he didn't already know. They filled me with so much reassurance throughout the process. Very lovely people!”

About: Hi, Our names are Lucy and Chris. We are a couple in our 20s and have recently bought our first house together. Lucy has grown up with a Cocker Spaniel called Lottie who is 10 this year and since moving out we have noticed a doggy shaped hole in our lives! Lottie stays at ours occasionally and we have also had the pleasure of caring for a few of our friend’s dogs but would love the chance to meet some new doggy pals! 🐾 We enjoy cuddles with dogs on the sofa and love a walk! Getting out in the fresh air and being in nature is something we both enjoy so will do our best to incorporate some fun and long walks into your dog’s stay with us. 🍃 Our jobs mean that one of us can always be working from home in the week to provide doggy daycare services and boarding services from our home. We are also around on weekends but request two weeks notice for any weekend bookings! If a dog is arriving in the week we kindly ask that they are dropped off in either the morning (before 9am) or after 4pm. We have a secure, fenced in garden with grass which dogs can run around in. We live in a quiet close so there isn’t much traffic noise or many loud noises to unsettle pets. We like to be cosy and will invite dog visitors to have cuddles with us on the sofa (if the owner is comfortable with them going onto furniture) We work from home and are able to let dog visitors out for frequent toilet breaks and provide regular water refills. We understand dogs have different dietary needs and are happy to accommodate this so they can have a comfy stay. We have a few dog toys for our dog visitors to play with but if dogs have certain toys they love please bring them along and we will incorporate these into playtime! We not only want to build trust with our dog visitors but also owners. We understand that different owners will have different rules for pets at home. We will do our best to continue any good training / behaviours you are teaching your pets. We do not tolerate or use unkind behaviour towards animals.
About: I have always been around dogs from a very young age so I have grown attached to say they are my favourite animal. My children have also been around them over the last few years though family and friends having dogs which has got them to love and care for them as much as me. I know how to walk, feed and generally look after a dog and take care of their daily needs. I am a full time mother of 2. My daughter is 11 and my son is 5 We are a very dog friendly house, and can't wait to be able to share our home with any doggy that needs one! I am a full time mother of 2 children aged 11 and 5. I am home most of the time apart from the school runs so I'm always about so your dog won't be left alone for long. I have a house with a fenced garden which has a small fake grass area as well as a concrete area, to which they can be let out in if need to be let out. I also don't mind dogs being on my furniture around the home. I want them to feel as welcome as they possibly can while staying with us. They are welcome all around the house including upstairs. I have a rather large kitchen too which would be perfect if your doggy sleeps in a crate. At the back of our house we have a massive football field area and we are only 5 mins walk to the local park/rec.
“Tom was great with Lenny. Very accommodating especially as we booked last minute. Tom asked questions beforehand to make sure that he was prepared to care for Lenny. Tom sent us pictures and a video of how Lenny’s day was which offered reassurance that Lenny was in good hands. We will definitely use Tom again :)”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
