I have had my own rescue Labrador and have looked after friend’s dogs from cockerpoos to greyhounds. None of my animals (including cats) have ever gone into kennels and so I want to give your most precious pet a family holiday of their own. I have a large enclosed garden. We are very relaxed about rules, but will follow the rules that your dog is used to so they don’t play you up when you come home! We are very strict with food and don’t give “human food” unless you specifically ask for this. We love walks, and have a park very nearby. I have a car so can take them to country parks or the beach. I will keep them on an extendable lead at all times.

We left Maverick with Darren for 2 weeks in January. It was clear that he was really well looked after and enjoyed his time there whilst making other new dog friends. We received regular photos and updates from Darren during the time which really put our minds at ease. Throughout this whole process Darren’s been great at communicating, answering our questions and making sure Maverick was comfortable. We’d highly recommend using Darren

Schedule
I am at home full time so I will be available for your dog at all times and would only leave them for short periods if I couldn’t take them with me.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large enclosed garden which is very secure with a high wall all around. I have 2 chickens which are enclosed. There are no other animals inside the home. My home is spacious and dog friendly. I can accommodate a crate if required. You will need to supply their favourite food 😋
A typical day
I like walks, especially in the countryside or along the beach. I also like playing ball so your dog gets all the exercise they need.
