Lorna recently looked after our Jack Russell, Toby, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she gave him. From the moment we met her, she was warm, friendly, and clearly experienced with dogs. She took the time to get to know Toby and made sure he felt comfortable and settled. It was obvious throughout that she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Toby came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lorna to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Toby – we’ll definitely be booking with you again!

About: Having grown up with dogs my whole life, and getting my own a few years ago, i know how uncomfortable it can be leaving them behind. No need to worry, i can ensure you you dog wont be getting bored or stressed with my Beagle, Molly around them. I currently work full time with a very flexible office/work from home schedule. I cant change my days around frequently but usually work from home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I can work from home the entire week if needed for longer term stays. Dogs will be at least 45 minute walk per day, unless you request otherwise. My dog stays on a long line lead as her Beagle nose stops her ears working frequently. It is your preference if you want your on or off lead when walking. My usual routine is feed in the morning and evening. Happy to continue any routine you already have in place to ensure your pets are made to feel as comfortable as possible.

About: Hi, my name is Imogen I am a reliable, friendly and caring dog lover who wants to give your dogs the best sleepover possible whilst you’re away! Having had dogs myself I know how important it is to feel your pup is in safe, secure hands. I have had years of experience looking after friends and families dogs - rest assured any dog that comes through my door is treated as my own. Having them stay is the easy bit, giving them back is the trick! I’m a school teacher so school holidays would be my preferred dog sitting days. However, weekends are available where I’m around most of the time. I have a large secure fenced garden and I’m very close to woodlands and dog friendly parks. The dogs will have access to my kitchen and living room which are tiled and floor boards and I will allow bedroom sleeps if that is what your dog is used to.

About: I’ve got years of experience working with and owning dogs of all breeds, I have knowledge of training, and behaviour of dogs. I’ve worked with dogs from puppies to elderly. I have 2 dogs myself whom I love dearly. I have experience in dog training also. Experience in rescue dogs (one of mine is a rescue) I have a very flexible schedule, I’m available Monday-Friday and some weekends. My daily availability is from 8:50am-5pm and weekends I can be available from 8am-7:30pm I care for pets like I care for my own, with love attention and respect. About: Hi! We’re Betül, Yavuz Alp, and Freud 🐾 We moved to the UK from Turkey three years ago with our beloved dog, Freud. We were lucky enough to meet him when he was a 2-year-old stray, and he has now been part of our family for five wonderful years. Since then, he has travelled with us to many places and is at the heart of our home. We live in a house with a secure, fully fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day enjoying the outdoors. I work Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, in Rayleigh, while my husband works from home full-time. During the summer, you’ll usually find him working from the garden rather than his upstairs office! At weekends, we love exploring local woodland walks such as Belfairs and Hockley Woods. Weekdays are a little quieter, but the garden is always full of games, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We also enjoy shorter evening walks after work. Freud is a friendly, easy-going dog of around 10kg. He gets on well with dogs of a similar size and enjoys having canine company. As with many smaller dogs, he can be a little cautious around much larger breeds, so we always make introductions thoughtfully. Guest dogs are welcome throughout our home and are free to relax on the sofas or beds if that’s what they’re used to. We simply ask that they are toilet trained and comfortable living in a home environment. One of the reasons I joined Rover is that I would love to adopt another dog one day, but for now I need to prioritise my finances and health. Looking after other wonderful dogs seemed like the perfect compromise—and Freud certainly won’t complain about making new friends! If you have any questions, we’d love to hear from you. Betül, Yavuz Alp & Freud 🐶 We are living in a house with a fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day. I am working Monday to Thursday 9to5 in an office in Rayleigh. On the other hand my husband is working from home and even though he has an office upstairs his main base is garden especially in Summer. We mostly spend our weekends with a long walk in the woods around, such as Belfairs and Hockley. We are a bit lazy during weekdays but garden is full of games. We tend to have 15 to 30 minutes short walks to the shops etc after 6 pm during weekdays. Freud is friendly with the dogs his size. He can be a bit protective of himself with bigger dogs with a lot of barking and hiding behind us😂 We have a crate which is large enough for Freud to move if needed, but not preferred.

About: I have a BTEC in animal care and have always owned either dogs and cats so I have experience in animal behaviour, training and general care. We have a two bedroom home with a large garden and are available to take bookings same day. I have a baby so we will walk in the morning, lunchtime and evening. I take my Labrador with me too! He is very friendly. As I don’t have a garden we have to go for a few walks per day. My home is clean and tidy and the dogs are welcome on the bed and furniture. The house is hoovered daily due to having a Labrador so one more certainly won’t hurt.

About: Hi! I'm Jo, a reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter who absolutely loves spending time with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I understand that every dog is unique, so I'll make sure your furry friend gets the care, attention, exercise, and cuddles they need while you're away. Whether it's a fun walk, a play session, or keeping them company at home, I'll treat your dog as if they were one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your lovely pet! Super reliable, mum of two. I recently gave up my corporate career and have my own facial business working from home. I manage my own diary and am enjoying a much slower pace of life. I have two beautiful children who are 6 and 2 who love animals and have always been around family dogs. I have a fenced garden and am happy to look after pets in yours or my own home. My living room/kitchen backs onto the garden and stays super cool in the summer. I live close to a park and the woods for nice long walks.

About: We have been around dogs our whole lives and have been helping care for family, friends' and neighbours' pets. We understand the importance of keeping pets happy, safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, we treat every dog as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Elicia works from home during the day, while Jack works during the day and is home in the evenings, meaning there is usually someone available to provide care, attention and companionship. We already enjoy taking two walks each day, so regular exercise and outdoor time are part of our routine. Your dog would be treated as part of the family, with plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime, affection and relaxation throughout the day. We are committed to maintaining your pet's usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled while in our care. We provide a safe, caring and comfortable environment for every dog in our care. We live in a flat with access to a secure garden, giving dogs space to relax and enjoy outdoor time throughout the day. Dogs staying with us will receive at least two walks a day, alongside plenty of attention, playtime and companionship. We are happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs and will follow their normal routine to help them feel settled and secure. We will cater to your dog's feeding schedule and any specific care requirements, ensuring their needs are met while they are with us. Regular toilet breaks are provided throughout the day, and we ask that dogs are house-trained. We will send regular updates for what your doggy is up to!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Rochford on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 8,716 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Rochford. About 87% of Rochford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Rochford commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
